How about "Bat out of Hell" category ?

( I hope to God you weren't thinking of suspending it above your marital bed Loosecannon ! )

P.S. I can see why some people might like it though...

Yes! I now am top o' the heap again on the bidding for the soon to be MY bat!

And overnight, a deadbeat has paid, so now I have 10 dollars to bid. It's going to be a great day.

Wow! 96 hits on my (hopefully) hideous bat. You're the best, loosecannon

I've sent the auction to our three grown kids and some close funny friends. Here's what our son said:

ROFL!!! I especially like the "Made of the finest unidentifed wood
species..." part. It all reads just way too much like those cable TV
exclusive offer only ads. "But wait! There's more!"

Ya know, his wife needs to get a sense of humor.

As far as uses are concerned, I think it would make a pretty darned
spectacular decorative cover for a spigot. Liven up that Halloween party by
having people get their drinks through the bat's mouth.

I will NEVER complain again at my husbands poorly thought out gifts.

zeenza; your DH has obviously never given you an ironing-board for Christmas , then had my stepsons go in on its decorative cover ! I think I would have settled for the bat!

Kiittyx3: A tough one, they've both bonded with the cuddly critter.
I have rowane the favorite (only by a nose )just yet; but there's room for a dark horse to snipe at the end. Glad it's not BIN...that'd spoil all the fun .

I'll admit this is the first brightly painted wooden vampire bat to make my "watch" list.

Loosecannon, I love your description! That excellent salesmanship should make the bat (doesn't he have a name?) a sure hit.

Uglimouse, an ironing board and cover, LOL! Well, it's the "thought that counts," right? Men can be pretty clueless when it comes to gift giving, but we've got to love them anyway. (The men, not the gifts.)

Wow the price is going up right in front of my eyes!

I looked at it and it was at $3 something, clicked on "watch this item", then went back and it was at $6.50.

I can't believe people are bidding on this thing! I'm gonna keep watching......

The truth is, I can't believe it either. But I'm pleasantly surprised.

Thanks bidders!

Wow, loosecannon, it's up to $7.50!

I just noticed he's got a goiter, breasts and a little beer belly. Truly amazing detail!

Are you talking about the bat? It sounds like my husband

Looks like I'd better start begging those NPB's because the auction will soon go over my ten dollar limit!

Wow, I don't know whether to keep it or give it to my best friend who is a bat fiend! Maybe I should keep it so I don't have the problems Loosecannon had with his wife...LOL

mouseslayer,

Congratulations on your win (sniff)... I'm going to miss that bat.

I stole the picture file from you, loosecannon, and put it on a card for the hubbie, inside saying...

'.... it flew away while I wasn't looking, but it's got a good home with mouseslayer (with a little thumbnail of Buffy to represent Mouseslayer)

Please let me know if he goes up for bid again.. I've still got my ten dollars from that NPB that paid up, even reported it to eBay then watched them double charge me for the FVF

It's a Good Friday! (getting paid to read threads)

Rowane
