Because the buttons are metal they also contribute to the wear of the buttonholes. As they get looser they do tend to pop open over the bustline.

mhillyrd, I am also sorry that this happened to you and I do not believe that you caused this damage.

What grounds would the buyer have?
If you take off your EG blinders, you will realize that 99% of this was caused by the buyer!
Just as logically, if the buyer can say the seller misrepresented the item, don't you feel that the buyers photos misrepresent the condition of the item?
sheesh!
If she hadn't sent blown up/out of proportion/exaggerated pics, EG probably would have sent the refund before all of this nonsense had to happen!
(but that's just my opinion )

I will let you know if the refund comes through even if I have to open a new thread.

Mhillyrd: I SAID I will mail a refund check tomorrow. I have no reason to say I will refund on a public forum with who knows how many people reading this and then not follow through!

When I say I will do something, I do it.

Zoomin

Just for the record, on the last EG thread [vrane.com] I backed her up 100%.

Sorry, but this time I think she's dead wrong.

I'm glad this buyer wasn't new to eBay, and had to go through such an ordeal just to get $15 returned.

Sorry, Lori
Yup, I'd be pissed if I paid for something I felt was useless.
I'd also be pissed that someone wasted my time on what must have been an obvious oversight (as admitted). The buyer's PICs were grossly exaggerated. The whole fiasco could have been avoided with honesty.
But, like I said, JMHO.
Besides, it was better than the novel I was reading
