Personally, I could care less if someone posts using their eBay ID or not, although I am one who does. I don't think this makes me less intelligent as is suggested by the paragraph above. It just means I choose not to worry about the repercussions. I would never go so far as to belittle those here who are concerned and choose to use a different ID though.

Hey Jacko...mellow dude.
When I first started this board was marked by some hostile interactions, some legendary flame wars and some nutbars. I am sorry to see some old blood gone (heck maybe they have changed their nick!) but continue to learn.
Like I said in a post a while ago, in the day when you could pull anyone's info, one nutbar did here and threatened a user. There have been auction muck ups I am sure because of personal bias.
I, too, sell in two or three niche areas. I am in no rush to mosey out here and use this platform as a marketing device.
To me it's a place to learn.
I really don't appreciate the badgering of Eventer, her posts are some of my fave.
We are lucky here, us newer/lowend sellers, to be in the company of folks who do this all the time and deal with the hassles exponentially more hassling than what I have to deal with.
And I don't care if you sell dollarstore items compared to my collectible photography items - I really don't, even though per sale I prolly make more - I just like to learn what's up.
I am always sorry when a poster says that unless you post your ebay ID you are less valuable to the community.
Bogus.
I think it becomes apparent who knows what they are talking about and who doesn't....despite the personal animosities that creep into the board.
I may be a bit pill-y at times, but I have a lot of respect for the fulltimers, no matter who tidy your garage is, no matter how good your sell-through is, if you gut it out I am willing to listen.
Capriole (guess who I am NOT on ebay!!! - though there is one, so don't bug 'em)

HELP....SOMEBODYS HI-JACKED MY BUS
I never said anything about the value of comments that have more of a value based on their powersellers status, feedbacks,or time spent on ebay.
This is my one pet peeve about AW Threads...people twist the threaders words to fit their own agenda.I simply noticed a pattern of (some..not all..some..)AW Posters who seem to leave in depth, lengthy and demanding posts. These people to me seem to know it all yet i can never seem to see their work on Ebay.
Please do not think that i don't value any and all suggestions i read in this forum.
When i talk shop at the Ebay office or around my Ebay friends they all think i am an Ebay guru or just got back from lunch with Meg....and it is just helpful information i have obtained at AW....many of you have told me about your concerns about posting your ID's.Some of them i find very scary and i am considering my options on this issue...i am now going to ask the MOD GODS to lock this thread up because it has taken a direction not intended...someone in this post said "we are not all brothers and sisters" and i say "BS".
