WBBELL - you ask "what is the difference between an "automated" email and a "form" email?"
What I'm actually referring to, is receiving an automated e-mail, which contains a link to a website that the seller owns. There, I'm supposed to fill in all the info.
Some of us have day jobs, and it is much easier if I receive a regular e-mail. If that e-mail contains a "form" for me to fill out, I don't have any problem with that.
But each time I go to an internet site, my cookies are saved to my login at work. It's bad enough that the "suits" get on our case here about time spent on the internet, so I don't really want to waste a "cookie" on sending payment info.
Sorry if I didn't explain myself better the first time.

genxmike: Well....yes. In addition, you'll get an automated email from us within 48 hours saying that your item was shipped.
rancher24: Is this SOP stated in your description or me page?...If not, how am I supposed to KNOW that you will email me in 48 hours???
genxmike: It's in the automated email that I would have sent you. Our EOA emails are full of information.
rancher24: Ok, let me ask you a question then, How should I (as the buyer) handle the following situation: I bid/won on an item, using Billpoint "Pay Now" I paid, next morning I wake to find 4 (count 'em 4!) auto EOA emails from the seller. (I won only "1" item) These emails are standard, "here's accepted payment methods, tell us what item you won, & email us your shipping address" ....Am I to assume that in a day or so this seller with find my Billpoint Payment Verification notice & email me?...Or will the seller simply ship my item without any other communication?....Do I sit back & wait til I get a NPB notice or some good ole' negative feedback?......Seriously, I would like to hear your opinion of what I should do in this situation....
genxmike: I would fire off a quick note saying that I had paid by BillPoint and to please notify me when the items ship. Otherwise, I'd sit tight for a couple of days and wait for a shipping notification email.

I've just started using the whole AW automated auction system. While I usualy only sell 20 or 30 things a week, using an automatic notification system has saved me a ton of time. If you are receiving WBN's that seem really impersonal, that is because the seller is using a poorly worded one. Mine includes my name, address, a system of figuring out shipping, and everything else they need to know to pay for their items. If there are any questions, I usually answer my email 5 or 6 times a day (most of the time, "Thanks for sending payment. I will let you know when I ship". It is possible to use automated WBN's and still offer personal service.
