Today it's "Cryin'" by Roy Orbison. I can't decide, though, whether I prefer the duet with k.d. lang or the original version.

I had Roy's Greatest Hits playing today as I decorated the tree. Might not be Christmas music but I sure enjoyed hearing him sing.
Simon and Garfunkel "America"
Rolling Stones "Tumbling Dice"
Van Morrison "Brown Eyed Girl"
Anything by the Doors
Almost anything by Bob Dylan
Others:
Anything by Tom Waits
Sarah McLachlan (sp?) "Possession"
Almost anything by Tori Amos
Almost anything by Nirvana
Almost anything by the Wallflowers (Bob Dylan's son's band)
I also listen to a ton of Irish music---everything from Enya to the Pogues to pennywhistle/pub music. I hate loud music though (wasn't that another thread?) I normally listen to it so quietly that people wonder how I can hear it. I must have good hearing (or maybe theirs is just bad).

Shadowcat Now that you got your tree up bring the album over here and we will listen to it while you put my tree up! but PLEASE watch the furrball on the shag carpet..
It's the original recording. In a surreal scene (well...I guess all of the scenes are surreal) in the movie the song is lip-synched by Dean Stockwell. I flashback to the scene whenever I hear the tune.
