United Airlines is still concerned about flight 175 a Boeing 767 Boston to a unaccounted for so far.
Sorry I am not rechecking well, that plane was out of Boston to LA.

Director of the two towers said that 10,000 people worked in EACH tower. At peak times during the day there would be nearly 25,000 people in those buildings. Don't know how many were able to be evacuated between the time the crashes took place and the buildings collapsed...

Its kind of sick to think too that people in the equity markets all over the World are dumping US Stocks and buying into oil.
Oil has gone up at least 3.50 a barrel in the last few hours.I hate to think what the stock market will do when it opens tomorrow.
I also think with this travesty it may no longer be possible to keep the county out of an economic recession.
I wonder what the airline pilots must have been thinking when as the planes crashed if they where still alive at the time.
What a nasty day today has become.

ABC has stated that fires have started in other surrounding buildings, because of the collapse of the trade towers.
They say the emergency landing of a plane in Ohio somewhere may be the missing United plane.

labrat4gmos, Thanks Mom...you are right these kids need to be told to Knock It Off...
A lot of people can't get TV and the telephone circuits are jammed up and down the East Coast and spreading West very quickly.
I am in DC on Connecticut Ave, north of the White House in an apartment building and it is a mess out there. People trying to get home and people trying to find out if everyone is OK. My brother works at the Pentagon a lot and I can't find him yet.
I hope we have the military on the streets here soon to help get people home and to give everyone a sense of security, AND to show these SOB terrorist cowards that we are not going to sit still for them to kill our people.

I just heard the military is now at threat condition DELTA level - the same level we would be at if we were to declare war or be at war.

Gov Pataki is reporting on ABC that the National Guard has been activated in New York. Good. We are starting to react and God help us. It is going to be beyond words to descibe what we are going to go through when we find out how many people have been killed.
