Don't mean to be the voice of doom and gloom but despite trying to be optimistic, I keep having this recurring thought--if we go to war or more acts of terrorism like this continue--who's going to want to buy another trinket off e-bay? I've got an overnight auction shopping trip planned in a couple of weeks, and I keep wondering if I'm going to be wasting my money. What's one more Staffordshire plate or Napco figurine going to mean if we're at war?

Whatever war, if there is one, will be brief. It may be more of a long campaign to hunt down each of these terroists camps.
Also, Federal Gov't is going to pump in 20 to 40 Billion dollars. NY should experience some sort of economic boom.
Now is the time to buy. Everyone is pulling back and prices should be low. If you can afford to buy and hold, everything should recover by Christmas.
I am looking at numerous live auctions and prices are quite low.
