Has anyone thought of this.
There's just as much of a chance that the sleeper agents could tamper with products or produce at the grocery store. There are so many possibilities that it is ridiculous to be paranoid about it.
The chances of being infected at this point are probably lower than winning a state lottery.

Yeah, I thought of it for about half a second.
I won't give those bastards the satisfaction of giving it a second thought.

Well all this made me think of this.......
http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/w/x/wxk116/tylenol/
I was visiting with my daughter over lunch and I was trying to tell her about this(before her time).
So when I got home this afternoon I did a little searching.
I didn't realize or had forggotten they NEVER caught the villian responsible.
Scary stuff!

Mmmmm. Reminds me of the tenant in a high rise in Indiana who saw the 9/11 incidents replayed over and over on tv and called their local police department to find out if they should evacuate since they were in a high rise too.
People who get their news exclusively from superficial tv newscasts, internet bulletin boards and radio shockmeisters tend to be more paranoid than those who read daily newspapers and browse through a variety of credible sources.

I don't believe this Anthrax scare has anything to do with organized terroism. I think it is just a few sick individuals (anarchists) that are attempting to spread some fear.

What terrorists?I think those boys will be stayin outa site for quite some time! They have likely come to there senses and decided as the rest of the world that their leader is nuts! When I saw one of those "bunker bombs" on T.V. I was thinking to myself I would hate to be on the recieving end of that!!

and just where does one buy anthrax?? I don't think it's a coincidence all the cases popping up.
I'm not really worried about it. As often as I take antibiotics, I doubt I'd have a chance to get sick off the stuff.
now, if someone could only send some to my ex-husband...lol doesn't hurt to fanticize at least.

Well, when you stop smoking, stop driving and eat a healthy diet, then maybe Anthrax in the mail is a reasonable worry. Besides, if you don't accept mail b/c you are worried, why would they accept a package from you?

For some reason I have read far too many "plague" science fiction books, I suppose because the concept is so much closer to becoming speculative fiction or even reality. The legendary Frank Herbert had his protagonist contaminate paper money in "The White Plague" ... we already pick up countless germs from handling paper money and currency every day. I'd like to see the odds on anthrax via money, but the terrorists WILL have succeded if we stop conducting business as we always do. Just think though - would you prefer the other speculative fiction of a credit ID card or bracelet to go along with your Federal ID card?!

Rancher - I brought up people being worried about receiving packages from strangers in the RT a couple of days ago. No one responded one way or another.
Someone said, "how many terrorists are registered on eBay?" Well, I don't know the answer to that question, but I do know how many terrorists it took to fly planes into the towers.
Also, these terrorists lived here a long time acting as if they were one of us. Who's to say they haven't done the same on eBay? Buying and selling just like us and building up their feedback. BTW, I'm still selling, and just sent out a M/O for something I bought.
I do think we need to be cautious. After all our government is on high alert, and local law inforcement is checking every call they get that has anything to do with a powder substance. I have a police scanner and you would be suprised at how many calls they get a day and investigate. At this moment the hazmat team is at the San Francisco Airport
checking a plane that has a white powder on one of the seats. I don't even know if it's on the news yet.

It really is a shame that the terrorists are accomplishing what they set out to do, that is to put fear in our everyday lives.
One of the police calls yesterday was really kind of funny. There was white powder in the street, and several people called in about it. The police were there within minutes and determined it was wall board (I think that's what you call it). There was a construction job site on that street and evidently some of the powder from the wall board wasn't cleaned up.
I have so many things I want to put up, but if people are too afraid to buy I feel like it's a waste of time to do all that work for nothing. I need to get this stuff out of my house and send all over the country.

You are more likely to get hit buy a car walking across the street like a lady that got hit in front of my house a little while ago. I will never forget seeing them putting her in a body bag. So I guess no one should cross the street either.
We all need to use a little reason from what I am seeing we don't need the terroist we are doing a good job of it ourselves and they are laughing their butts off at us and having a good time.
Having the thought is natural. Letting it stop you from living life as much as your normally can is letting them win. I have no intention of doing that. The good way to combat terrorism is to use reason and not to allow oneself to be motivated by fear.
Myself I want to kicks their ()!#$&!(@# to a very dark place.
Check the address with the post mark if you are concerned before you open it. Make sure the return address matches the one they send you via e-mail etc. . . That is what the officials are saying to do. .
"This person has been registered with ebay, almost two years, and has just started to buy from ebay."
That isn't uncommon I sold only for quite a long time before I started buying.
For all the sellers that want to stop taking MO and personal checks etc. . there will be other sellers willing to take your customers. I will gladly take MO and checks. Times are going to be rough I will take all the customers I can get.

Everyone who gives into the fear mongers and changes how they use the mail is HELPING the terrorists win; not only are you misguided in thinking you are "protecting" yourself, you are making it worse for everyone else by forcing them to change their habits. And the only reason most of us will change our habits is because of a small percent of people are ignorant of the actual risks and look for any excuse to feel sorry for themselves.

The very fact that so many people are even thinking this way is playing right into the hands of the nuts who are doing this-They want to stagnate this economy and have us follow the yellow brick road to ruin-I don't think this is about germ warfare as much as it is a psychological chess game and if we move the way they want us to it will be checkmate for sure-

This is so ridiculous. Paranoia was everywhere yesterday. A post office was closed. Boeing's mailroom was shut down. Ferry service was interrupted because of powder that was found on a seat, etc, etc...
Have people totally lost their minds? Sprinkle a little baby powder on a public bench and watch the panic set in.
I am paranoid that spreading paranoia will become a new sport.
