The Power Seller program should really offer perks to those who achieve it, and more importantly should incent others to strive for that goal. As it stands now, there's no incentive to join or remain a part of the program. The program really is worthless! If there were % fee breaks when certain sales thresholds were met, it would give people a reason to achieve at higher levels. You'd constantly be competing against yourself to achieve higher levels of performance to benefit from say a 5 or 10% fee break. Or they could offer other perks like a # of free listings for each sales threshold met, or free advertising on the site, or some other tangible benefit. Right now all they seem to give you is a pat on the back and a warning that you better maintain your performance or we'll give you the boot. Where's the incentive? Where are the perks?

I've been liberated. Here's my release from ebay... official at that. Persistence in requesting I be removed from thier non existing Powerseller program. Get out of the useless program while you can. Who cares is right! You can have ton's of feedback without the unchanged logo. Ebay fails to realise that Powersellers pay the way along with the rest of the sellers using their service. What service does one get by being a Powerseller? None......Take if from me. One who was but is no longer by choice. Wake up ebay and get your head out of the sand. Do something. Give incentives to the sellers. Th letter that follows below was received today. Yeah!!!!

eSeller004~ you would think so wouldn't you, every time I buy from someone that is running a few auctions a week, it takes weeks to receive the item I've ordered even using PayPal. On the other hand usually if I buy from someone that is running a few hundred auctions a week their turn around is much better.
Also every person is just a number to the next. I don't see how or why you would think that just because a person only runs one auction a week they would take some special personal interest in you.
eBay fees are like being slowly pecked to death by chickens!!!

As I said- I'm now not a Powerseller by choice. And here is ebay's response when I asked them what the advantage of being a Powerseller was. Dig this and get a laugh out of it. Is ebay really serious about this program? What a sham on the public and it's sellers and buyers on ebay. Sham *(Shame on you ebay). Is Amy really awake when she sends these replies out? Get some coffee Amy or see the Pastor, Rabbi, Priest or whomever that will cleanse your soul.
No longer a number on ebay!

We sell over 2000 items every month. We have 3 people packing for us. All items are shipped out within 48 hours of payment in a custom designed box. You receive automatic emails telling you that your payment has been received and when your item has been shipped. Emails are answered quickly and the price of our product is far cheaper than the smaller sellers in our category.
You can pay more if you need to feel like you are making a friend by buying your item. Or you can get efficiency and reduced pricing and the knowledge that your product is 100% guaranteed.
Gold Power Seller status is very valuable. But you need to think like a business in order to be able to achieve it. If you are EBAYing as a hobby, PowerSeller status is a waste of time for you.

The Gold Powerseller program is likely the only one with value. The others are shields with no value whatsoever other than for ebay sellers to puff up their shirts. Sorry, the program is a fraud in itself and at best.

I have to say that the powersellers program has been very useful to me. I'm a gold powerseller who runs 20,000 auctions per month, and it's nice to call the powerseller line at any time, day or night to get a question answered. In addition to selling magazine subscriptions myself on ebay, I am a distributor for other ebay sellers who sell magazines, and if they have problems, ebay will also help me with their problems thru the support line.
All the other benefits are worthless... the logo, etc., but the 24 hour help line is priceless.
