They tell you that you will not make it if you do not take paypal. Now they tell you that you will not make it if you do take paypal and not money orders.

Well, thought I would pop out of my bunker many of you suggested I crawl into a couple of days ago just long enough to post the latest Post Office Generals update to all those that showed so much contempt of my concerns...basically but not verbatum this is what was said.....We can not quarantee civilian mail delivery to be safe from cross contamination, we advise everyone to wash their hands after opening mail...we were "unaware" that another letter "bumping" up against an infected letter could spread the anthrax...and also...the invisible spores can stay on the surface for months...Unfortunately, having "the last laugh" is not so funny and I hope everyone does use due care and I wish everyone well. I pray this rediculous nightmare anthrax scare ends soon.

Oh for Heaven's sake. You'd think they just announced a major biological attack.
Instead, they've said they can't guarantee the mail is 100% safe (which they never could BEFORE this whole thing got blown out of proportion by alarmist) and to be "safe", just wash your hands.
Wash your hands. Big dern deal.
Same advice your mother gave you when going to the bathroom. Same advice doctors give you during flu season. Same advice day care & hospital care workers get all the time.
Going to take a WHOLE lot more than "wash your hands" to warrant an "I told you so" or for someone to think they have the last laugh.

My original point exactly, eventer...which was all taken out of context on these boards by some pretty specific denials of any risks at all and that I was pretty dumb to believe cross contamination was any threat at all.....which today was now proven to be a reality....duh...what's the surprise anyway, it was a logical assumption!... the word I used was "remote" chance of cross contamination and I still hold that to be true, depending on your area ...However... I still intend on taking online payments only, tired of waiting for money orders that could arrive quicker by pony express these days anyway! With the junk mail I cleaned up pre-anthrax hysteria, my bill pay online and no more ebay mail, I have virtually no mail now and that suits me just fine..I barely have have to deal with it at all on a personal level but it is a horrible thing for this country to deal with and I feel heartbroken for the people who have been devestated by it. Sadly people DO need to be now and continue to be aware and not live in denial of the fact that this country is at war and we are under threat of attack every day.

Kiddo2...my responses were not one of "there is no danger"...but rather that you were blowing it way out of proportion by saying no more snail mail payments. It is STILL way out of proportion.
PS...how is the round building brick bunker working out?
