It seems fairly simple to charge more to cover the added shipping costs; I believe Half so states that fact. With expensive textbooks, this is fairly easy. A lot of books don't lend themselves to this approach but that's because of lowball sellers not Half. I'm discontinuing Priority shipment in June; there's no way I'm going to eat zoned shipment overcharges for Half.

Agreed, when the rates change and zone is for 17 ounces and more, people will take a real beating for priority. I don't think half or amazon will have a fixed shipping rate anymore, I don't see how they could.

Half is pretty upfront about collecting more than they pay for shipping. As long as they are upfront I don't have that much of a problem with it

amzn has not said anything about changing shipping credit to seller or shipping fee for buyer.but amzn sellers do not have to ship usps priority, first class is one step up from media mail.
amzn can do all of us a favor by stop discounting,it is an idiot game !!!!!!
ignore those lowballers,if you have a good book in good condition, stick to your price.
not every one believes they can get anything worthwhile for one penny or 75 cents

Unfortunately, you cannot sell higher when there are books by the dozen at .75 on a given listing, because people will continue to feed more copies into the list at that price. I generally do not list many books at $1.00 or less unless I just want them off my shelf and they won't sell on eBay.

I've actually taken a large stack of books to the dumpster on more than one occasion--not even worth hauling to the thrift shop or library to create more cheapo Half sellers!
