Um...slowly slinking in the thread to say that it didn't make a difference if the seller listed the auction numbers here because she used her Ebay ID so you can easily check her feedback, see her negs and who gave them to her....slowly slinking back out again....

So, dellandogs, why don't you file for a restraining order and a harrasment suit if she did indeed threaten your kids. Then you can also file for slander and defamation charges. The one time someone threatened me with bodily harm I wrapped them up in 5 1/2 months worth of litigation and they now have a "black spot" on thier record. You shouldn't have to take that crap.

Does this remind anyone who can remember about the great button and button hole debate?
At one point we had the seller and the buyer. Pictures of the item. If I am not mistaken didn't it finally end with a vote.

Here's my vote: Enough already, already. End this now. And perhaps the AW community would be better served if ANY messages from the two principals were simply ignored in the future instead of fueled. RIP black ashtray. Geh gesundt Avon pitcher. Bless us everyone.

Nycyn is one of those pathetic people who has nothing better to do with their time then #*!@ and moan, and gets off on being rude, and obnoxious. I would put money on it she works in some menial job, and this is her little power trip. For $16 she can feel like a big hard riding B!TCH, without fear of ever confronting the person in real life. that is why the telephone contact number is fake for fear someone may actually come face to face with her.
Ignore her and let her crawl back into her hole, or behind the register at a 7-11 as it may be.

kenoshajudgmentrecovery : The thought of doing that has been in my thoughts. If she continues, I will do just that. In fact I have been making copies of everything, My lawyer is a good friend of mine and one of the best in this area. She may have gotten herself into something she wont like, But I have to wait to see what my lawyer says about all this. The only problem is .. I'm not afraid of her, I have 10 German shepherds here and 5 are trained Schutzhund dogs. She wouldn't be able to get one foot on my property. But It would be worth it just to keep her tied up on the legal end of it all.

Trolling for dollars? Yeah, I'm gonna get sued for a kind of verbal invitation to a fight on a message board to someone who I have no idea who they are and where they live.
Oh yeah, I should have that somewhere, shouldn't I? I suppose I could dig it up, if I haven't thrown and/or deleted everything out already. Oh, wait, I could go get her info from eBay but I DON'T CARE!
Anyway, Dellie. Those were some very nice photos. Could I use them when I list those items? Far better than I can get.

People please remember. This person is the 1% of New Yorkers not the other 99%. And as for you NYCYN, You need to get a life, come on admit you made a HUGE deal over a simple eBay transaction. You brought all of this upon yourself. You thought that you could get sympathy. In fact you need the sympathy. You are obviously crying out for attention. You are a very sad person who needs a internet msg board to feel good about yourself. When you sense that the thread is dying, you add another. It is simliar to a 3 yr old doing somthing wrong to get attention form their mommy. You might want to get help. Or at least make a friend. But, whatever you do, never mention this incident to anyone. If you do that friendship will be very tough to come by. good

Hmmmmm....actually with her new listings, it shows me exactly what she was complaining about. I do, though, think that it should have been quite obvious that their is an "s" on the end of Kennedy, by not stating the ashtray said "office supplies" was a huge boo-boo! The photo does not show this fact and the seller did not say so in her listing. Even if a seller is pressed for time and you may miss details, that is a large detail to overlook!
Despite so, I do think the bidder is a little hostile over the situation. Sorry! I would probably be upset too but at this rate and since it didn't cost big $$$, I'd move on just to save my own sanity.
In a small note, the seller can't be all bad if she owns German Shepherds.
ThriftStoreQueen (not my eBay ID) <--loves and owns a German Shepherd dog herself
posted on February 4, 2002 05:11:32 AM newThriftStoreQueen: like I said before, this is an instance of either intentional or accidental mis-representation on that seller's part. However, I don't know about you, but I make MISTAKES too!
So far, I've been lucky & blessed with NICE BIDDERS who contacted me FIRST! They allowed me the opportunity to MAKE THINGS RIGHT!
I'm proud of my 1120/825/0/0 FB -- however, I'm also delighted with the kindness and MENTAL HEALTH of my bidders!

tomwiii: Oh, I DO make mistakes. Am not perfect that is for sure. As a matter of fact, the only neg I have is because I made a mistake and the bidder didn't contact me first but instead negged me over a $5.00 item! So I can totally relate.
Despite so, I try very hard not to make errors. It just seems so hard to miss not putting "office supplies" in the listing when it is so clear on the ashtray and especially not able to be seen in the scanned photo.
As for the bidders reaction, I stated that she does seem a bit hostile and it would be best to move on!

DEAR NYCYN,
since you start different threads with basicall the same message, I'll post my reply to this one as well.
I came across ebay auction #1069610420. Personally, I think you are an ass if you are supposedly a "volunteer" yet seek to earn "proceeds to replace uncompensated leave from regular job and medical expenses." I do believe you are a professional in the mental health field, however I believe you are on the patient side of the science. Pretty sick. My sister works as Chief Resident in Emergency Medicine in NYC and was involved in both instances (WTC and Plane in Queens), yet she does not knock on people's door for sympathy or money. She has deep sorrow, as we all do, for what happened that fateful day. To place an auction as irresponsible as your "Exclusive" interview, shows lack of emotion, intelligence, mental well-being as well as greed. You describe you auction as "EXCLUSIVE" and you post "stalker" as a feedback. I wonder if before you listed that auction, if you yourself were "stalking" the media trying to get your "exclusive" interview out. SHAME ON YOU.

masujoviga - I AGREE!! I too saw that and couldn't believe she was listing such CRAP! Personally I don't believe she had anything to do with 9 - 11. At least in helping out in the aftermath of the tragedy. Whatever is "in the interview" I believe it is a scam. Just my own opinion of course but I totally don't believe she is anything but a lowly seller on ebay! And about to get lower.

dellandogs, you do have to take some responsibility here. You did misrepresent the items by using the words old and not taking a full picture of the ashtray, that was no mistake.
the buyer here is definitely over the edge with her reaction though.
the auction she has going for her interview is the most self-serving, tasteless bunch of crap I have seen in years. This goes WAYYYYY beyond bad taste!!. What you are attempting here is an insult to all of the wonderful people who gave hours, money and blood to help out in the 9/11 crisis. HOW DARE YOU!!!!
If you have one shred of decency in you, you will cancel that auction and go on with your life. If you don't have something to GIVE, then don't give. A volunteer does not ask for compensation or even that they be known for their work.
Someone who "volunteers" then asks for compensation or fame has another name, it is PREDATOR.

Well it's my turn to reply.
I think that one of these people has many, many unresovled issues that are stirring around in her mind at such a fast rate. She demonstrates this in her posting. Can you imagine what it would be like to be involved in something more serious, like a car accident with her, especially if she was wrong.
It seems to me that this ashtray was listed in the proper catagories. It wasn't listed in anyway relating to President Kennedy. The buyer should have know this.
I think that a smart seller would quickly put NYCNY on their BLOCKED BIDDER LIST. I know that I'm going toas soon as I finsh here.
Also, for about the nest month, I will watch dellandogs auction, and if there is something I need or want, then I may bid on that item. It will help bury the undeserved negs.
Well, that's it for now, off to the BLOCKING BIDDER PAGE.

Now that I have been able to view the auctions in question, I see some problems with the Slag Glass pitcher & Bowl auction. However, there is no evidence that anything was trying to be covered up in this auction. If the buyer (nycyn) had any questions about the brand or where it was made, you should have e-mailed before bidding. dellandogs should however do a better job in describing what the auctions really are. EX: Putting in the brand names, how many pieces there are ect. It will let the buyer have more info at the time to make a better desision for bidding and simplify things for the seller as they will have less questions to answer.
However, as for as the ashtray auction goes, it was misrepresented as a kennedy ashtray implying the Kennedys as in JKF ect... I see no problem with the photo in the ashtray auction if the description would have been accurate.
The description should have said it was from Kennedy's office supply in which I now see it in a different auction. Now, this does not justify the actions of nycyn what so ever as she did not do the proper channels to resolve the situtation. If you had e-mailed her about the problem and dellandogs did nothing about it, then yes a negative would have been warranted, but only for the ashtray auction. You did not have a legite reason to leave a neg for the pitcher auction.
nycyn, Just to make it clear, I still don't condone what you have done here, but it is clear that both the seller and buyer are at fault in this case.

Hello all, I just wanted to say that all of you have pointed out some excellent points. Not just on my side buy on nycyn's side also. I just want to say that I dont think that I'm not wrong for not writing every detail about the ashtray, That is why I wrote nycyn right away to offer her a refund. I wont even get into how I did it because it will sound like just an excuse. oh heck I might as well, maybe some of you have done this your self. I intitally listed this ashtry for the first time on ebays free day, I was in such a darn hurry to get as much as I could listed because well.. we dont get many things for free on ebay and I was just trying to take advantage of it.
While I was taking advantage of the free day I just listed the bare minimum to get as much listed as I could. I also had taken that picture of that ashtray almost a year ago, so I honestly didnt remember the other words on it, I still thought that the biggest selling point was that it was an old black amethyst ashtray not the wording. I realy didnt try to present the ashtray as a JFK piece. I admit I was wrong for not adding more of the details. I will try to never ever do this again. Its pretty hard to be perfect all the time but I try . Thanks everyone. You are all some pretty neet people.

What a hoot ny tells someone to stop yaping ! holy cripes I've seen it all now. ny you are a pretty disturbed individual and I along with loads of other have flooded the bidder block page to get your naem on our list. here is hoping I never have to deal with any one in your state of mind. For those who think I m to harsh oh well, one post is enough but there is no doubt in anyones mind who should SHUT UP ALREADY. I think you may have even topped NWREBEL. hell at least he at a little bit of legitimacy to his non stop pissing and moaning.

For all the people who think nycyn is out to lunch, I definitely agree. I eat at the same counter. Nothing ticks me off more than a seller who seems to have every excuse ready afterwards, but hasn't invested their time in doing things properly in the first place.
I got raked over the coals here at AW for negging a seller without due notice not too long ago. Seems that touches a nerve among sellers, especiallly those who don't even have the guts to neg a deadbeat, much less another seller. You might get negged in return...Look out Chicken Little!
What blows my mind is that people think eBay selling is hard or specialized or worthy of some unique place where bidders must play extra nice to the seller. Puhleeze! If you head into oncoming traffic, your car is going to get totalled. You don't get a second chance. When you screw up a transaction, your reputation and maybe your ego gets dented by a neg. You poor thing. My heart bleeds cold borscht.
Welcome to the school of hard knocks. Treat your bidders well and give them what they ordered without excuses and sob stories.
posted on February 4, 2002 07:49:09 PM new
Sellers should get negged when they deserve it. Sellers should neg deadbeats without the fear of a retalitory negative coming right back at them.
That I totally agree with. However, based on what I have seen in the auctions, and witnessed through 3 different threads based on the same set of auctions, NYCYN jumped the gun on the negatives. It is really as simple as that. Real nice person there.
If she did not like the items, return them.
But no, she has decided to SELL them herself. Plenty of returns at Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart and the like. Most eBay sellers have to face the facts that some items are going to not meet expectations.
But no one has to go through the treatment that the witch in NY has put us all through. She is crying for attention and sympathy. And is now upset because she is getting very little sympathy. She might be getting the attention though. 147 hits on that Kennedy ashtray so far. Too bad no one has bid on it yet. Doubt anyone will. They are probably saving their money to buy her VOLUNTEER interview.
Oh by the way, a person volunteers for what reason??? To cash in later on??? Do us all a favor and go away and take your ashtray AND your Avon slag with you.
posted on February 4, 2002 07:58:25 PM new
The minute I looked at the slag glass I knew it was Avon. Yes, I think it is an old piece and if the seller knew nothing about avon than I can't see where she misrepresented it. Oh well, things happen. I have listed only a couple of items where I had to tell my buyer that there was a problem with the merchandise, but I did send it to them and also sent the money back. I think then that becomes your wakeup call to make sure that the next time and all the times after that you never make mistakes again. It's to bad there are no moderators here anymore because they wouldn't let all this happen, but until something is done I think it is time to stop posting to those threads..

That being said, sysops love me because I do good thread. Didn't hear anybody whining last week, or the weeks before that, you sorry, currently-posting,losers...

mballai:: I think your right.. Your hostile attitude is right out there with nycyn.
I don't suppose either one of you have ever made a mistake in your life, and if you have you sure as hell wouldn't admit to it. I find that to be a sorry excuse for a human.
I would love to have your ebay id so I can put you on my blocked bidders list to. PUHLEEZE... If you think sellers are that hard up to go around kissing buyers like you on the ass you need to think again. I do everything I can to please people but, I realize there are some you cannot please no matter what you do. People like you and nycyn I don't need in my life. You couldn't pay me enough to sell to you.
It sounds to me that you and nycyn need to go to go back to school just to learn how life really works. Its not all Robotized and black and white like you think it should be. I'm human and I'm glad I'm human. I don't profess to be nothing more or less thank you.
Nycyn,, You have done more ranting, raving and yapping than anyone, your 36 to my 7 replies in this thread alone proves that. You have lived up to your name. As far as I'm concerned you can shove that ashtray in a strategic place and while your at shove the Avon piece there to.
