I really don't beleive that I have "ruined an important thread". All the Auction Watch staff would have to do, is to read some of the content in this so called important thread and make a decision for themselves. Also, I beleive it against the community guidelines to attack another AW user. The standard protocol is to discuss the issue, and not the person.

Dear Auction Watch Staff,
The thread that hair2dye4 is reffering to is the one titled WE'RE MOVIN' ON UP ,,JOIN IN.
I'm sure after reading the first page, you will agree it has nothing to do with ebay or the auction business.
I am thinking Auction Watch would like its members to use this board for the purpose of discussing ebay auctions, and I agree with that simple standard. Since the ending of the moderation staff, I beleive they have placed a certain amount of trust in the members to be adult, recognize the rules.

The original thread by Jack probably was off-topic and better suited to the round table, but then again Yeager's responses were immature.
Referee's decision: Offsetting penalties, first down!

Congrats Yeager,
The "We're Movin' Up, Join In" thread is useless. It is just another attempt by Jackswebb to obtain "the longest thread".
It is people like him that will ruin these boards. People come to these boards because people get answers to their questions and usually contain useful information.
If they wanted useless information or dribble they could go to the ebay message boards where people talk about what they did during the day.
Why do you think this site is more popular than the ebay message boards?
I suggest writing to auctionwatch and complain about another useless thread started by Jackswebb.

No one is forced to read every thread here at AW and they have a handy-dandy 'ignore feature' that works great.

Ah, whine and tattle all you want.
This last thread started by Jack did have ebay related things about how people also liked to have fun as they sell. In no way did it dominate this forum and it had dropped way down and only popped back up on occasion.
Some just have their shorts bunched way too tight and refuse to loosen the grip. They refuse to take off the blinders to read the message. So be it. No harm done.

I normally avoid this type of BS thread but all of you are proving his point. There are now 5 useless threads related to this topic.Wanna chat take it to the round table as this is becomming a less and less useful board filled with useless threads that are not business related. READY AIM FIRE AWAY!!

Maybe there are "useless" threads here but I do have to admitt when someone asks a question it is always answered. Everyone has their idea of useless threads. Mine is PayPal ones. I really don't care how people are ripped off when they share their computer or hacks their password or has many names on their PayPal account. PayPal also has it's own area in the message center but people still come here to complain. Do you realize that we never hear the outcome of those threads. That makes them useless to me in my book. Another useless thread is Camera's but I still read them, are they ebay related? How do you know that the person asking the question is a member of ebay. We don't know but everyone helps them.
This is a very helpful board whether it be PayPal, Camera, Useless or whatever threads. Happy Flag Day Everyone. Hope you are flying your Flag. Also to the Fathers on this board have a great day Sunday.

There is not one thing here related to ebay. Unless the above post is written in another language and translate into something to do with Ebay. I do not see it being ebay related.
Libra63:
I agree with you in that people should be able to ask questions and give answers. While they may not directly ebay related most are auction related. I dont have a problem with those posts. My problem is with people that dont bother asking questions or give answers, they prefer just to post song lyrics or poems. These types of posts have nothing to do with auctions and should not be on this board.

logansdad,
Thank you for your support on this issue. I agree with you in your statement that people who post threads like that one will absolutely ruin this board. I feel this board should be maintained as a place for learning and sharing ebay realted ideas.
tomyou,
I sorry about the amount of useless threads that I started about this WERE MOVIN ON UP, JOIN IN thread. I did it just to show that once any one person can do it, then any amount of people can do it. One bad apple can very quickly ruin the Auction Watch bushel.
kiara,
I'm sure that you and JACK understand that this MOVIN ON UP, JOIN IN thread had really NOTHING to do with ebay or the auction business. However, both of you still tried to rationalize it. In one of your responses, you asked me to go back and edit every one of my posts. If the original post has anything to do with ebay, then why has JACK edited it several times, only in the last time to call me LOONEY? In my response to you and JACK, you both have called me several names, many that have now been edited form your posts. These include immature, sick, evil doer, smart ezz, and looney. Some may think these comments reflect more about the person making them, than the person receiveing them. Now in this thread you are reffering to the support posters of my position as whiners and tattlers. Even though you you told me in the MOVIN ON UP thread, the world always doesn't spin the way I want it to. Hmmmmm?
One more comment on this issue. JACKSWEBB started a thread on the Round Table that had 1445 post as of yesterday. There you shared poems, song lryics, receipes, and what you had for breakfast, ect. I never posted on that thread even once. You had every right to post anything you wanted there with no concern from people doing ebay business.
I mean no harm to anyone. I would like to see the Auction Watch's Ebay Outlook remain a postive place to visit, share ideas and learn about ebay. Thanks to all for your support, and have a great day!
edit for spelling.

logansdad, are you referring to me? I clicked on your name and you have coughed up 32 posts, most of them whining at a certain group here.
I had almost 1000 posts under my last ID, many of them asking questions and getting answers from some of the best ebayers I have ever met. Some of the posts were helping people with problems when I was able to and I was free to give my opinion also. And yeah, I goofed off with a few posts also. Forgive me!
I still ask questions here and I help people post images if I can and I help identify glassware, china and other collectibles or I try to find sites for them that may offer help. And more than once I have given my opinion on a matter.
So if you are referring to me with your comment, please take it elsewhere.

Yeager, I did NOT say any of that and you know I didn't! I may have said you were immature with your actions. I did NOT say the other things. I have it ALL in e-mail notification so don't you EVER start this with me! Never ONCE have I said those things on a message board to you. It is not my style.

Kiara wote:
logansdad, are you referring to me? I clicked on your name and you have coughed up 32 posts, most of them whining at a certain group here.
Those of you who post song lyrics and poems know who you are, but since you were so quick to jump down my back you most be one of them. I was not referring to anybody in particular.
I have been using auction watch since 1998 and have been a member of ebay since that time as well. During that time I have switched my user ID several times for various reasons. While this current ID may only have 32 posts, I have contributed my fair share of posts over the years. So excuse me if I dont have the number of posts that you have. It's not the number of posts that matter, it is the information that is contained in those posts that's important.
So if you are referring to me with your comment, please take it elsewhere.
I see you can dish out criticism but you can't take it. There is a proper board for everything. If you feel the need to write poetry, post song lyrics or tell everyone what you did during the day, that is fine. Just do it on the proper board ---- Please take it elsewhere as you so nicely put it and dont get your shorts all bunched up.
Thanks Yeager, I second your post:
I mean no harm to anyone. I would like to see the Auction Watch's Ebay Outlook remain a postive place to visit, share ideas and learn about ebay. Thanks to all for your support, and have a great day!

I agree with you Logan, I took one look at the "WERE MOVIN' ON UP" board and all the CAPS, misspelled words, and irrelevant posts gave me a headache.
Please share with us the constructive purpose of calling out the number of post on this board by logansdad. Your answer, I sure, would be very interesting.
In the thread WE'RE MOVIN ON UP....., you called me immature for my numerous posts. Well, actually my posting was a strategy. It wasn't an impulse control issue. I didn't call anyone names or bring forth their short comings.
The eBay Outlook is a great place to discuss eBay auction related topics!

Thank you for your offer. However I do not need to learn how to post in italics, bold, underline or symbols. The same goes for pictures and for the little bouncing balls/smiley faces. What I need to say can be posted in English without the need for fancy expression.
I guess you are now criticising the way I post my messages.
As for being original, you should talk. Who is the one that needs to post song lyrics to show their expression? But I guess that is being original.
MSRU:
Thanks. I am glad I am not the only one that feels that way.

Yes, yeager. I did call you immature and I also admitted to doing it, didn't I?
Never once did I call you the other names that you accused me of doing.
My lunch hour is now over with and it has been a most enjoyable one. It is now time for me to send my ever faithful slaves for their lunch also as I treat them kindly.
I do not want to get into a pi$$ing match with anyone over something so trivial so I bid you all a fond farewell.
May your ebay stars climb high and may your sales soar. May your troubles be few and may all of you just keep on smiling. Life is good. Always remember that.
