As far as trolling the basement and putting a site down, I stated my own observations with bidbay. It was stated above that bidbay is right on top of things. That was not what I found and I was relating same.
I'm sorry that it does not match up with your own experience. Again, I am only stating the facts, based on my own interactions.
And, BTW, I did finally receive a response from George today. A whole week after my initial query.
Based on posts I have seen on the various boards, I assumed it would have been sooner.

May I ask what is your're personal experience selling on Gold's auction or any other auction site besides Bidbay?

This board is about new or other auction sites, opinions are great, as is free speech. However to come in here and blast another site or practice your verbal sarcasm, without using it or any other, because your stuck on the best, the biggest, or cannot see past your own nose, is just a little bigoted, "you think, I reck'on so".
I like finding and looking for new sites, current list of good sites, with lots of listings and good features: BidBay, eDeal, Golds, Yahoo, are they perfect, no, but then neither is the 900 lb Gorilla, is it ?, and countless others, if one has to keep all there eggs in one basket, go to that sites boards, see how much free speech you have, where now members have to get extra user I.D.'s to post there public opinions, "well I reck'n not"

BidBay is a loser...I agree with smoothsail.....no worries.....once the contests are gone so are what FEW bidders they have. People have 12 pages of items listed with no bids and if they get a bid for a junky dollar object they post on the chat board "Wooo hoooo I got a bid". Well isn't that what your are SUPPOSED to get on an auction site????? Most of the stuff is dollar stuff that needs to be either donated to something or boxed up and sold for "buck a box"!!All they do is fight and suck up on that chat board. It is pathetic...the CEO is so "On things" that it appears he is letting the losers run things. Better shape up cause you are nooooooo ebay!!! or amazon, or yahoo or anywho...

and why, snowhunter, are you so defensive of bidbay? We are ALL entitled to relay our own experiences with any auction site. I did not sell squat on bidbay. I sell a lot on other auctions sites. Bidbay has few bidders except the CEO and other sellers....two things come to mind.

franklymydear you are right on!!! I just went to re-check this Bid Bay that folks are STILL praising. Took a cruise through the bid a buck. It is by far the greatest accumulation of pure d junk assembled on one place in any of the auction communites!!!! The sellers are still begging for bids from other sellers, IE:10% discount because I've been ill and to thank you for your support during my illness, Let me now post more overseas made garbage for you to bid on. Please bid I need the money. My tent had to be relocated. Praise the lord!!!! It's a good thing the Lord provides because Bid Bay doesn't!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!! Bid Bay is a cheap imitation of an auction site, with a bunch of broke sellers trying to support other broke sellers by buying their walmart close out quality auction items. The boards are full of religous types who want the world to KNOW they are religous. They need to start a prayer line for bids. LOL!!!!! Bid Bay is for sellers who don't have anything to sell or anything better to do with their time. Bidders--there are NONE. They ought to just trade items instead of buying each others ready for the garbage crap!! Fighting--you betcha read the posts!!! One of the religous gals is kinda in her own world--it's called Bid Bay--and she'll be damned if anyone else invades her holy space. I do not like the site, to much everyday 10 cent sports cards, just a gimmick for sellers to buildup there feedback numbers like they do whereever they go. Everyone knows by now the non realistic feedback numbers that certain sellers think are impressive, they fool themselves.

I think The BidBay Site is Excellent!!
I've won 150.00, several have won 1,000 and one person just won $10,000.
You can win Cars, Trips, Boats, Diamonds. eBay won't give even Parrothead88 nothing more than an Ink Pen!!!
Or like at another Site that promised to give, but gave nothing. Heck, we don't even no Who owns the Dang Place. Only place I know in this country where the owners won't show their faces and at a Site whose Motto was "As Owners we will never lose Contact with the Members". Strange we know nothing about their wherabouts and not one name. They have disconnected phones and the ones that are connected aren't answered. LOL
And my Sales at BidBay are going almost just as good as my eBay stuff. Hey, what have you to lose? Give it a try. You can even call the owners and they have a Store that you can buy things with earned bucks. The owners will even buy your Items for the store.

I have never commented on bidbay or any other auction site but have decided to do so because of the way I have been treated by bidbay.....
I also won some of their prize money....mine was small amounts in the form of checks. But I don't think most folks realize that the BIG bucks is in LISTING FEES only and they don't charge yet!! They refuse to require a credit card verification for their members because in my oponion they want to drive up the numbers....They will come in and say, like McDonalds "ten million and counting". What they don't say is what the sellers are saying. "What am I doing wrong?. Why aren't any bidders coming in? Why am I not getting any bids??etc etc""
I was a big bidder on bidbay and they treated me like crap. Because I "told off" their Bible toting, scriputre quoting, overcoming child of God Bible thumper, pew jumper, tick everyone off and judge them all while she herself needs major fruit fresh because her fruits certainly are not showing!!!anyway....I was not suspended from bibay...no this would take away from their numbers, but I was BLOCKED!!! Nobody even bothered to let me know from bidbay, none of the Gods even had the courtesy to email me and let me know I was being BANNED!!! I sent numerous emails..no response...some of the sellers that I bought from posted on the chat boards and sent me the threads. The Bidbay Gods response was "I cannot comment at this time". Good God this is not Law and Order, this is s darn auction site....or is supposed to be....they treat their "poineers" and those who have store fronts like royalty and let them get away with anything on those boards and those of us who simply are buyers, are treated like crap!!! I implore everyone to stay away from this looser of a site, this ebay wannabe....they treat their bidders awful and their sellers have 12 pages of listings with NO bidders!!!! Stick with yahoo and ebay.......

KittiesPlace! You were not blocked from BidBay because you told off that person! You were blocked(thank god) because you accused her of "doin" one of the staff members to get special privledges!!! Everyone has told off that person, lol and they weren't blocked Stop trying to make yourself out to be such a sweet and good person, you were warned a few times over there about attacking people and causing trouble, lol. Sometimes it looked like you watched the boards to see if anything was said that you could stick your rotten comments into.

been "BLOCKED" once or twice before on BidBay for her mouth. She has a bad habit of REALLY mouthing off and trashing a person. But when she mouthed off this last time she also trashed the CEO'S and that was bad.
BidBay is great place, all of us there are trying really hard to make it work, stop by something and give us a try. What do you have to lose there are no fees.

But in all fairness, moderator, this thread is full of insults AND copyright violations....
You know, it really does not matter...there are PLENTY of auction sites and if we don't like one we can sure go to the other. Myself, I am partial to ebay.....

I guess no one remembers back many moons ago when bidbay personnel were shilling the "wonders" of bidbay here on the AW boards.
Anyone not remember why bidbay doesn't have it's own forum here anymore?
I had an email conversation with their then-VP Eric Rosenberg (forgive me if I've gotten the name wrong). He agreed with the wrongness of plugging the site using multiple identities on message boards. He took his opinion to George Tannous, the great and powerful CEO and waste of skin.
George promptly fired him for having principles.
Bidbay is not a place that an honest seller would want to be associated with.

Yeah I was here and remember the whole thing, was kinda shocked originally, believe it also had something to do at BidBay with an Inapropriate eBay porn promo look-alike site or ad by Eric, as I recollect.
Also know Eric has started dutchbid.com and spammed Bidbay members, makes you wonder If the left hand knew what the right was doing.
But the thing is why did they not pick-up the phone like a normal bussiness and have a talk,(person-to-person)all we got was Mark saying BidBay staff was caught shill posting(((cyber-crime promoting(tooting their horn) their site)))[[at least they do not steal an entire auction sites listings so their members can have them Included In Its universal search to lure membership(AW); without permission]], silly them, they used their own ISP, pretty stupid If they were really hiding anything; no It could not have been an Inexperienced staff at work AT A NEW ONLINE VENTURE, everybody is trained right here on the whiner boards, SO WE KNOW EVERYTHING, yeah right, AW topics: growing trolls trainning classroom, how to be a shill and survive in the online auctions longer, selling at eBay no matter what obstacle's they put up or how many hoops I have to jump through, or how they step on me, or how much they charge me, or how hard they make the site to use I gotta list there, they got the bidders, geeseeeesh. ???
Lastly, I list at BidBay and will continue to expand outside of the Great eBaby at other sites also. People the Bidders and Sellers are us, you, me, and them, that's we.
