UNBELIEVABLE! Do you know if the seller lives near you? Did you arrange for them to drop them by your house or did you expect to have the mailman deliver them? If I had paid for shipping and they weren't shipped and just left on the patio like that I would be more than a little angry myself. By the way, how or what is the status of this seller's feedback?

Please Keep us posted

What delivery? No signature, no UPS guy, no postman...

But it is a little scary

Ah, the good ol' days when I could pay $300 for shoes...now I have a horse.
He just throws dirt on me and grabs a $20 every time I walk by him.
SFS...I'd call zee cops.

Shop - I feel your pain If I were you I would still be standing in the backyard screaming. Coming to me house without a specific invitation is a big no-no, even my neighbor knows to call first . Strangers coming to my home take their lives into their hands. Your seller is lucky they you were not a paranoid gun freak concerned about the stranger lurking around your back door in the dark.

Is it at all possible that they were delivered to a neighbor's house by mistake and the neighbor left them on your patio? I had that happen once. The neighbor left a package inside my side door, which is broken and unused. I accidentally found it two weeks later when cleaning the driveway.

If the seller did indeed do this, what nerve!

CBlev65252 may have something there. Is the seller in your area or does the location box on the auction say something uninformative like Shoes for Everyone?

Cheryl does have a good point. I'd ask the neighbors first. I used to have an elderly neighbor who was kind enough to accept packages for me when UPS came knocking and I was'nt home...but she would sometime forget to tell me and she would just drop my package over the back fence!

I found a partially chewed note on my patio today from the seller. I was in the area and decided to drop these off. I know you wanted them as quickly as possible. Thanks

I paid for them almost 10 days ago. If she were so concerned about me getting them quick. She would have sent the darn things when I paid for them and not waited to "drop" them off.

Not only is she getting a negative she had better pay me for the damage my CAT did to them. Actually I don't want the money, I want a pair of undamaged shoes.

The bright spot in all of this...she probably got bitten by one of my cats. They lurk in the bushes around my house and attack anything that moves. I hope her wounds get infected.

Would you be angry if she had simply knocked on your door and handed them to you, or are you ticked because whe went in your backyard?

Still, you paid for insurance and she SHOULD cover the damage. But I bet she won't, as she can say she "knows they were delivered!"

I agree, the most distrubing part of this thread is nat the buyer not asking the seller about what happened or where the seller is located at.
I've had a package meant for the neighbor before in my mailbox and opened it without looking at the address only to find it was addresses to my neighbor. I put it on their front door where the couldn't miss it.

I would be angry either way. Only one of my relatives know where, I live and she was only invited over recently. None of my friends (of the few that know where I live) would think of coming by my house without an invitation. It is common courtesy to ask before coming over to someones home. AFTER 10 pm without an invite is over the line.

Have you asked the seller about this yet, I am curious as to their side...

I am agog to hear her side also. What can she say....

You paid me 10 days ago and if I had shipped them in a timely manner, you would have probably already gotten them. I would not have had to skulk around your home in the middle of the night and trespass on your property.

Or maybe: I knew you in a past life and I always had an open invitation to drop by your palace, not matter the time of day or night.

Perhaps: Your emails made me feel warm and fuzzy. I felt like were were old friends. I was hoping I could drop off the shoes and maybe have a glass of wine together.

Could be: I hand deliver all of my packages. Sorry, I missed meeting you. I have to get to Alaska by Sunday. A lady there is waiting on her Gucci pumps.

Well considering I think you exaggerate to make your side look better, I would prefer to hear their side.

I am thinking your "monkey" just didn't see them sitting there.

and your "I didn't invite them" won't hold water... did she say what method of shipping she was using... how do you not know she hand delivers most of her items...

You "invited" her as soon as you paid for shipping... whether you like it or not.

Don't like it... go get a mailbox

Perhaps you would be less disturbed if you read the entire thread. [I found a partially chewed note on my patio today from the seller. I was in the area and decided to drop these off. I know you wanted them as quickly as possible. Thanks I think that pretty much answers what happened.

I've had a package meant for the neighbor before in my mailbox and opened it without looking at the address only to find it was addresses to my neighbor. I put it on their front door where the couldn't miss it.

My block has a small mail kiosk with individual boxes for each home. The boxes are designed to fit letters only. Sometimes a CD can or a small packages be stuffed into the box. There is no room for a shoe box. If there is no agreement with the postman, all packages that do not fit in the box or reqire a signature are left at the main post office for pickup.

There is no reason my neighbor would have my package, since it would not fit into any of their boxes either.

Think....mmmm that is an unsual term coming form you. I have never noticed you thinking before....truly a day for oddness.

I am thinking your "monkey" just didn't see them sitting there.

Thinking again...I am getting chills. Two chairs and a cat or two are all that are ever on that patio. It is hard to miss a package on a well lit patio.

and your "I didn't invite them" won't hold water... did she say what method of shipping she was using... how do you not know she hand delivers most of her items

The only thing that doesn't hold water are your stupid statements. Priority mail does not constitute her hand delivering unless she is a postal worker. It holds water with the police. It is called tresspassing.

I'll tell you what I think. I think the seller was stupid, but trying her best. She could have gotten behind or forgot to mail your package. Did you get any emails from her after payment? I think the seller should make good on the damages.

I think twelvepole is stupid and has no best.

I want to know what the seller was thinking. Why not wait until the daytime to deliver the package? Have you written her asking about this?

I had a seller drop by my house uninvited once. It was during the day. I was still a little put off by it. She said that she liked to meet her local customers. This seller may have the same mentality. You should hold off on the neg until you find out her side.

You "invited" her as soon as you paid for shipping... whether you like it or not.

Absurd. Many communties have laws dictating acceptable delivery hours for goods. After 10 pm is not acceptable. If this seller were to go in front of a judge for trespassing, You "invited" her as soon as you paid for shipping will not hold water.

I have written the seller a very polite letter inquiring about her delivery method and informing her of the damage. I hope we can work it out.

Her feedback is above 97%. No real alarm bells. Some buyers have left neutrals and negatives like:

strange person to do business with. nice shoes.

I may email some of the neutrals and negs and see what happened with their transaction.

I hope the seller comes here... you people are taking one person's word that the delivery was made after 10 PM. Without it being done by a neighbor...

Amazing the "note" was found after Cheryl metioned the neighbor might have dropped it off...

Shop4shoes is well known for coming here with exaggerated stories to just to make herself look like the victim...

Only thing I do believe is that the flea bag did tear up the shoes and now she is just trying to weasel into some money back or a free pair...

Twelve - I don't give a damn what time the seller came by . Common sense says you do not go to a persons home uninvited - especially a person you do not know.

I would neg her for that one no matter what the circumstances. Also had the items been shipped it would have been wrapped or at least taped and the cat would not have been able to get into it. Besides - you seem to forget the note from the seller saying that they decided to drop the shoes off - 10 days after payment at that which if this was anyone other than Shops you would be indicting the seller for anyway.

I got an email from the seller a few minutes ago.

Sorry about your troubles. That order is not from me. I had a family emergency and have not shipped your package yet. I will put it in the mail today. I hope everything works out for you. XXXXXXXX

It has to be from her. I only ordered those shoes from her and no one else. I have been shopping a lot lately, but I know that I only purchased one pair of those shoes. I am going to email her again.

edited to add: I invited the seller over in my original letter. At this point I don't think she will be coming here since she claims the order isn't from her.

Well known by who? You? I would like to see links to all of these "victim" stories involving shop4. I read this board regularly and victim is the last thing that comes to mind when I think of shop 4.

Twelvepole you are known for posting here without a clue and an exaggerated since of self importance.

Amazing the "note" was found after Cheryl metioned the neighbor might have dropped it off.

Amazing that you lack even basic comprehension skills. A neighbor dropping the package off was impossible, IF what shop4 says is true (and I have no reason to doubt her). Cheryl's post does not affect that one way or the other, not unless her post made the mailboxes bigger.

Only thing I do believe is that the flea bag did tear up the shoes and now she is just trying to weasel into some money back or a free pair...

Her cats seem to tear up quite a bit of her belongings. I have never seen her here trying to "weasel" anything.

That ain't all he chewed up yesterday. He got a copy of "Secret Pearl" by Mary Balogh and a pair of vintage go-go boots. You don't see me complaining about those sellers. When something is properly delivered and in my possession, what my cat does after that is my responsibility.

By the way...I would really like another copy of "secret pearl" if anyone has one for sale.
