The Democrats are going to defeat the CLASS WAR the George Bush administration has started.

Highest gas prices in HISTORY is just one more POOR JOB by this administration.

Over 570 dead and thousands wounded and still counting.

These words are not attacks they are facts.

Gee whizzzzzzzzzzzzzz! It's not fair to attach a controversial sig file and then say it can't be 'legally' discussed in this forum.

I don't blame Tom for quietly sticking one on in response to a sig file from the "other side" but this is going to be loooooooooooooooooong pre-election period if we have to endure political comments here in the eBay Outlook this early in the game!!

Let's have a moratorium on "political ads" until..hmmmm..the first week in November?

Fluffy......in America everyone is entitled to their opinion....

Absolutely.

And I am entitled to withhold information from a damn fool, and to form my opinions about damfoolery based on such antics.

You lurkers out there, reading this. I know you're there. Tell me, do you think it makes any kind of sense to offend the very people you may want to ask for help someday?

Call it the gun -- foot -- bang! strategy.

Don't want to post here? Write [email protected].

What an amazing quote from a Bush supporter.

I'm not going to discuss my political beliefs here other than to tell you that once again you are dead wrong, Reamond.

A person doesn't have to be a this-supporter or that-supporter to recognize hatefulness, as well as a lack of class and civility.

Tomwiii knows exactly what he’s doing when he uses the words “pretzel-choker” et al when he posts. As a former resident of Arkansas during the Clinton years (when he was State Attorney General & Governor), I am no fan of Clinton. That said, I would never use the rude and inflammatory language as I’ve seen here regarding my dislike of Clinton. What purpose does it serve? Do you actually think you are going to win people over to your side with such childish, tasteless rhetoric? I realize that you’ll probably continue your anti-Bush, anti-Republican, anti-Conservative foaming-at-the-mouth rantings but wanted to let you know there are us, probably more than you think, who find such words immature and uninformative, especially in a forum such as this. Which is too bad because if you didn’t color your posts with such nonsense, I usually find them entertaining.

This is not the place to post your political agenda and I for one would never impose that on anyone here. This board is very helpful but I see in it's future doom.

I am sure if moderators were around the posts would be gone, but Vendio trusts that we can all get along so they never visit.

I don't think the post that classicrock posted ment to turn into a political one. But with the minds of people in here they like to twist things into their agenda. I for one will be selective on who I answer questions for and I will also ask questions hoping that I don't offend anyone in the process. I was reading eBays help boards and I find nothing there to offend the people asking questions.

When I ask a question all I want is an answer not all the crap that some people have. Thank goodness for the ignore button. Maybe if we all use it more people that do the offending will take the hine.
My opinion

Wow vendio must be having problems.

I can use this for bigpeepa. You are just adding FUEL to the fire. Leave it alone it is getting old.

I for one will not take 7 more months of this. Soon the good posters will leave and then you and everyone else that has an agenda can post here. I am sure Vendio will really like that.

Be an Adult like many posters in here. Get down to the Round Table where you belong where maybe someone will just want to read your posts.

Yes and they all said post sensibly. Dang it you can count. Read it again. I didn't say I didn't like this post. What I am saying is putting political agenda's on this board is wrong. Go to the round table where they expect it.
I like posts where someone asks a question as it probably will help me in the future but what this turned into was a political thread and it is wrong. I also think it is wrong that we come in here and ask sellers how they run their business.

Now this is the end of my story!

libra63, these are your words when you were talking about banners. "I for one didn't find the Kerry - Fonda one offensive as it probably is as close to the truth as we will ever know. But yours, be realistic, was very offensive, but then again probably not to the liberals." It seems you also like to fuel the fire. LOL

Boy, this thread is getting long!

I have to say that I enjoy and get a kick out of seeing everyone's signature line, whether it be pro-democrat or pro-republican. I think some people are getting a little too thin-skinned.

Having said that, I agree with Fluffy that it doesn't make too much sense to help create competition out of someone that, shall we say nicely, irritates her Of course, instead of creating such a hub-bub, I just wouldn't have even responded to the initial question.

My 5 cents worth (inflation, you know)

pointy,
by now it should be obvious what the answer is to your question-does high end jewelry sell??
search past auctions and see the results.
i am ready and willing to bid on your high end jewelry as long as you start LOW.

Now that we have reached page two of this thread lets answer the question at hand. Of course high ends jewelry sellss on ebay. I think your question would have been better phrased along the lines of....

Does high end jewelry close with a reasonable profit margin?

The question is so vaque that any answer would be correct. What is the jewelry in question, just how high quality is it and what are the prices you are trying to get? The only way to get a reasonably accurate answer is to actually do the research.

We are all so opinionated on this board. Its a wonder we still come back and read day after day!

Tom, I put you on ignore for awhile. Not because of what your banner says; I just got tired of seeing it over and over and over. I did find it distracting but I wouldnt tell you not to use it. Like the song says, "its your thing, man, do what ya wanna do".......

Thank you, OhMsLucy. And I for one appreciate Vendio allowing the topics and answers here to range far and wide. It is educational and, I think, mirrors the opinions you will run into on eBay.

JEWELRY
The answer is, of course, it does sell. Keep in mind that eBay prices reflect the reality of a marketplace that has been swamped with man-made jewels and inferior gems treated to look higher in quality. Certificates of authenticity and Appraisals are a joke, will you respect them in the morning? Older jewelry will go higher, but your answer seems to be that a respected local jeweler can get you a better price than an on-line auction.

HATE
Fluffy, again, brought up an important point. You don't have to be Pro or Con on a subject to recognize hate. I am Pro-abortion purely because I refuse to be in the same camp as such hateful people as The Right to Lifers. There are certain groups that recognize this type of sentiment and take a different tact. Groups such as PETA, Green Peace, and The Sierra Club seek to bring about societal changes by swaying the majority to embrace their minority viewpoint. Peta gives out poogy bait for 'pictures' proving you and/or your group participated in a protest. Watch for 'flash crowds' to get uglier and rowdier as the new phone technology generation matures. This added to paid agitators and protesters will make minor issues become mainstream debates. Unfortunately, on a societal scale they are an auto-immune disorder. A form of self-hate?
