I have had a computer genius here all day. Bless his heart. He couldn't figure it out until I mentioned my daughter had retrieved her messages thru AOL. Bells and whistles went off. he then called Bellsouth.net and together they figured it out. It seems AOL hacked Vendio somehow, from what I can gather. The (ah, how do we cuss #@$%^&, that will do.) I now have it back. What a PITA. Infuriates me. My pictures didn't how up on my listings and then it was costly to have the CG here all day.

I've been thinking about switching to mozilla. Does it ask you if you want to transfer your favorites? I ask because that's the main thing that's been holding me back. I have a lot of favorites in my file. Also, how does it work with XP? I want to be sure before I make the switch.

Same thing with me, Estate. I'm in AOL right now because it's the only way I can access Vendio. The problem occurred when I applied a security patch (and I think it also upgraded my IE to 6 because I only had 5.6 previously) through Microsoft. Now I can't use my IE. I'm giving serious thought to switching to Foxfire which can be found on the mozilla site and be done with Microsoft. I still have windows, but I don't have a problem with them. The problem always seems to come from IE.

Just got some advice for you all from my CG
here it is

thanks, neva its always a pleasure. Tell those other people to reset their Internet Explorer and then reset the modem. If that won't do it tell them to go into new accounts create a new user and that should do it.

How do you reset your internet explorer? I can reset the modem with no problem -- I even know where it is!

I did post to the techie board, and I received a response. He needs to know exactly what I installed and I told him. It's interesting to note that in addition to Niel35 having the problem, there is another one. Seems a bit kooky to have similar problems from 3 different people, huh?

HI EVERYBODY! I've been trying all day to get to Vendio and it finally magically worked for me, who knows how. (I'm afraid to log off for fear I can't get back on, now!) We accessed Vendio just fine on my husband's computer, a little earlier, and suddenly he got it to come up on mine. Go figure.

I have Netscape and have had the same problems with the same error messages others here have had. I hope to God it's fixed now. I'm so glad I didn't have auctions ending today.

Thanks, Lucy, for coming in here and asking the questions you did. Very helpful, all those answers. I just didn't see any Netscape users here with the problem I was having. ~Adele

Update: This morning I thought I would try it again and lo and behold, it works. I did post to the techie board and there were/are SEVERAL others that had the same problem that were using different browsers and isps. Obviously, it wasn't anything I had done or a problem with anyone else's computer, but it was coming from Vendio's side. <whew> I'm glad it's working now!

Thanks so much everybody for all of your help. It was really aggravating me that I was trying EVERYTHING but nothing was working.

Glad to hear you are back on, Diane. I was really ticked off too. I wanted to list yesterday and there was no way.
