There is no way one statement from any man would get me to vote for him.

I like his statements on partial birth abortion. I like that he actually signed the bill - now let's see if it makes it through the SC.

I like his stand on stem cell research.

While I do not agree with same sex marriages,
I think his stand on the same sex marriage law is not the way to go. It is, however, a safe thing for him. It gets the evangelical Christians safely behind him. There is no way we are going to get an amendment to the constitution and even if we could, it takes years to do that. So it's safe for him to repeat that to keep some in line - knowing the chances of it ever being enacted are slim to none.

I like his rhetoric on abortion - don't think he has done much about it.

A person and can 'say' one thing - but you have to look at what they actually do.

He said a lot of touchy feely things - then sent a lot of young men/women to their deaths - for a yet-to-be-disclosed reason. It seems to change from time to time.

His fiscal policies are bankrupting this country. WE did not get a tax cut. Yes, y ou got money back from the feds, but your state has to make up for what didn't get sent back, per agreement, to the states. It is hidden on your phone bill, on any professional fees you pay, more things are eligible for sales tax, when that policeman stops you - he won't warn you - he will ticket you and the ticket will be higher than usual, your property taxes will go up and on and on.

Now, they can say what they like - I can see through pandering. I want actions.

Fighting in Iraq is not going to keep them from our shores - we are doing nothing to accomplish that. We are creating enemies by the 100K. We are creating enemies our greatgrandchildren and their grandchildren will have to live with.

It is just plain insanity.

HGP: Do people forget 9/11? Do they forgot how inhumane the terrorists were and what they did? Do they forget how President Bush got the nation through that? I knew someone on one of those planes. I don't forget. I won't forget.

You must have forgotten that Bush did nothing to prevent 9/11. He was on vacation the month before the attack playing golf. He ignored briefs that said Al Qeada could attack the U.S. by using planes. He was focused on Iraq since the day he was appointed President by the USSC in 2000. 9/11 just gave the President an excuse for Iraq.

If Bush was so concerned about capturing Bin Laden why is he not hunting him down? Why is Bush concentrating the majority of his efforts in Iraq and not Afghanistan?

Do you think our troops are not looking for Bin Laden?

That psycho is a mastermind. He's been in hiding for years.

CLINTON, hello, remember him? He had a prime opportunity to capture Bin Laden and did not.

Bin Laden has not been seen or heard of for THREE years until this past week.

What Bin Laden caused on 9/11 should not be blamed on Bush. That's insane to even suggest it. HOw Bush handled it afterwards was remarkable.

No one knows where Bin Laden is. He may be right there in Afghanistan or he could be in Iraq...or who knows. Staying in war and continuing the search is the only way to find him. Look where they found Sadaam.

I can't believe, I can't understand why people think that KERRY can resolve this situation. This man thinks of no one but himself. He hired his own photographers to take with him in Vietnam - a war my grandfather fought in - to take his pictures. WTF is up with that? You don't go to war with a photographer to take pictures of you and then use them later. He's full of lies, empty promises and well..he frankly needs an enema.

If he wins this election the United States will be in the crapper for the next 4 years.

People think it's bad now.

I just got back from the polls. Stood in line for an hour (longest line I have ever seen at our polling place). Only saw one person turn around and leave and he kept telling everyone "I'll be back, I promise." Ours is a "safe" Democratic neighborhood and people still seem really committed to having a voice. Someone on this board said they were praying for Bush to win. I think we should be praying for our country if he does win.

George Bush is the best recruiting tool the terrorists ever had.

It is time for a change!

What it all comes down to is that it is every American's right and priviledge to vote in this election. Politics, like religion, is a very personal issue.

We all have our own opinions and views as to whom we support in this election, and have our own personal reasons for the choice we have made. While my views may be different from your (collectively) views, it doesn't make any of us less of a person or American. I don't understand this need to bash those whose opinions differ from yours (collectively).

Some of my friends don't share my views on the election, but that's okay - they are still my friends. I respect them for the stand they take, and it is their right; and they respect me for my choice. And it doesn't make any of us right or wrong, because in our hearts we are doing what we feel is best.

Before Democrat or Republican or any other party affiliations, we are Americans. The important thing is to vote.

Then there are those who won't be ignored; if people don't want to be dragged into the round table, then they just drag it over here to stick it in everyone's face.

MukMuk said she put me on "ignore" during her famous "Was I Wrong" topic, but apparently she didn't (or she just lied).

I am sure she will have another outburst about, oh, 28 days from now.

Here are ten reasons, taken from right here on the EO and the RT...thanks to our most intelligent Republicans posters....ROFLMAO!!!

Why would you vote for Bush.....

1. I have been a Republican for over 50 years.

2. I wonder if Kerry is going to spend some of his wife 's money on us??????

3. Because I wouldn't vote for Kerry for anything and I don't understand why anyone would vote for him,Lets quit dividing the nation over personal opinions.

4. The man stands behind what he does whether it's right or not, whether he admits it or not.
He's not backing down. He won't back down.

5. if it weren't for President Bush supporters here, this board would be nothing but traitors and liars...

6. Speak loud and send them the message you want them to hear, NO HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE!

7.After President Bush wins reelection, GOP controlled congress, ahhh sweet times ahead.

8. We invaded your country and we are not here to be welcomed by you, we are here to kill you.

9.He is the best leader for the US, I could care less what the rest of the world thinks WE are the only SUPERPOWER on this planet lest they forget we will be happy to show them. what is a shame is that there are people in this world who seem to think that America actually gives a rats ass what they think...

10. Only traitors and queers will vote for the likes of Kerry. Oh, and people with their head up their biblical beast of burden.

GHP:Do you think our troops are not looking for Bin Laden?

I did not say that. I said Bush has spent more effort waging a war in Iraq than he has spent looking for Bin Laden. Bush has even said he is not concerned about Bin Laden.

What Bin Laden caused on 9/11 should not be blamed on Bush. That's insane to even suggest it. HOw Bush handled it afterwards was remarkable.

Just as insane for you to suggest Clinton could have prevented it? What Bush did afterwards....invaded a country that had nothing to do with 9/11....did not give the troops the necessary equipment to fight HIS war....that is some leadership if you ask me.

I voted for John Kerry. This was the very first time that I have ever voted for a democratic presidential candidate. I am a fairly conservative person. But I draw the line when it comes to discrimination against any group. I also don't like the idea that Bush is basically owned by the religious right bigots that support him. Bush is way to far to the right for me to support him, or anyone like him. If Bush wins this election, people will loose civil rights like never before. I will join groups like the ACLU that protect rights of everyone.

Also, Bush is a FAILED president. There is no self respecting republican that would vote to reappoint a failure. Any president who had a popularity rating of about90 percent a year ago, and can't even muster over 50 percent in the polls IS A FAILURE.

I find it amazing that anyone could still claim that the war in Iraq had anything to do with the 9-11 terrorists.

Bush has failed and created a mess of everything he has attempted, whether foreign or domestic.

So Yeager, answer this one:

Did you vote FOR Kerry, or did you vote AGAINST Bush?

I've talked to very few people that actually LIKE Kerry, but I know a lot of people who voted for him. It's just a hatred-of-Bush thing.

I am proud that I voted FOR Kerry. It is so refreshing to find a candidate who can not only pronounce, but also knows the meaning of nuance. I don't agree with everything he says but I don't have to.

George Bush's virtues are skin deep but his vices go to the bone.

replay,

It's like when you want to buy an apple in the store and there are only two apples available to choose from. You carefully look at each apple. If they are priced at 29 cents each, you look for the bigger one that has the best shine and the least amount of bruises. Then you take that one.

Kerry is kicking butt in Ohio. According to the exit polls, he leads among moderate and liberal voters by a huge margin. He also leads by huge margins among minority and young voters. He's winning in Toledo, which is a huge disappointment for the Bush team. I'm beaming with pride!!!!

Go, Kerry, go!!!!

When this whole campaign began I was for Kerry because I was against Bush. That really changed after I went to a town hall meeting with Kerry. He is an excellent communicator and has a quick mind. Topics at that meeting meeting in 100 different direction and he knew what he was talking about on each of them.

I think the most important thing is that he was not afraid to say, "I was wrong" and change his position based on new information. That shows a level of maturity unfortunately is seen so rarely in politics today. I have no problem today saying that I voted for Kerry.

Fox news is being very hesitant to openly state anything at this point but they have said in a roundabout way that they feel that the President is going to be re elected.

I hope they are right.

Thank God.

I cannot go to bed until I see that he gets Ohio.
