This seller does have a feedback score of over 100,000 (very impressive) but they have 7,254 NEGATIVES (overall 93.7%) - These guys still do big business, with over 7000 negatives. The next time you think the world is going to end with a negative, it isn't. Buyers are like sheep!

They are among ebay's top sellers on the list someone posted a week or so ago. Ebay still loves ya even if you do a bad job with over 7000 people. Money still talks.
I was looking for a particular book a month ago and they had it listed but when I saw all the negs plus other sellers had it listed for less with lower shipping I went with another seller. All those negs ran me off.

I'm with paws. I did a search for a book and they were one of the sellers. After looking at their feedback, I bought the book from another seller at only a couple of dollars higher. To me, I would rather spend a couple of extra bucks and actually get the item.

as Tom once said you have to be a -4 to get thrown off Ebay, so this guy could also have
100,000 negatives and still be selling-is that right Tom?

Correct-o-mundo, dear Watson!
NTM the fact that even if they end up with a TOTAL FB score of -4, they still have to be ratted-out before Meg gets her bloomers bunched!

Must have taken a couple minutes and a few dollars to do that!

It's attrition: they add so many new pos's that when you click you really never "see" the negs.

With over 7000 negs, one has to wonder how many of those that left the negs left ebay as well.
This might be a reason why this years sales so far have been in the tank. We should be doing our best sales of the year right now, and it's not happening. I thought it was the election. Now the election has been over for over a week and still no increase in sales. It could be the buyers are finally getting sick of getting it stuck to them and are leaving.

I would never buy from anyone with that kind of rating!!! I have a friend that had very poor FB rating and she keep saying it didn't hurt her. Then it finally got where she could give her stuff away - so she changed her tune and her ID!!

I had to laugh @ that post -- Like Ebay doesnt P O at least that many sellers on a daily basis, and they don't seem to be hurting.
I stopped selling on ebay some time ago, however I'll have to come back sooner then later, but the vacation away from Ebay selling has been a nice one
When considering an ebay purchase if there FB ratio is under 99% I wont buy diddly squat, thats my story & I'm sticking to it.

Another reason why SOME FEEDBACK means nothing .. except to STAY AWAY from a seller.
Check out what this Seller has to say about every single bidder he has. I'd luv to know what the heck this means...

"Another reason why SOME FEEDBACK means nothing"
I bought some inkjet cartridges.I receive them and leave pos feedback. He leaves me pos feedback with the frase "another happy buyer dealing with "bla.bla.bla." Here I praise him with pos feedback and he leaves pos feedback praising himself. When your a seller your supposed to be praising the buyer for quick payment etc.Not only that he
advertised his website at my expense, which REALLY annoyed me.Yea its a minor thing, but as the old saying goes SELF PRAISE STINKS.Personally as a buyer,I could care less about feedback and I'd rather he not leave any then say that. He,like alot of sellers, dont leave feedback first-so next I wont leave feedback at all and that will put an end to that sh*t pronto.

Geez, that guy gives me a headache! Why hasn't EBay ditched him for fee avoidance?
Another one I came across this week is charging $11.85 to mail a package that has to weigh less than a pound. They have nice stuff, like a coral 14K pendant and a BAUME & MERCIER watch that I would like to have, but darn! $11.85 a package? I refuse to bid just because I don't make $60 an hour wrapping boxes.

Were you guys aware that this seller (totalcampus.com) was NARU'd recently?
Ended up with 11,408 negs.
It looks like they just walked off and abandoned their business one day. I wonder if fraud charges were ever brought. Lots of unhappy people.

Hi Fluffy,
We were discussing this on another thread. It's terrible the way they just walked away. Weren't most of their sales through half.com, though? If so, the customers can get their money back.

I've noticed that people only tend to respond to the top ten topics on any given day, with people starting new threads constantly. That means that since Vendio no longer has a decent Community search function, lots of good and/or incomplete information is lost in the mists of time.
Plus, there are lots of new readers and perhaps some folks like myself who have been absent for a protracted period.
I promise not to recycle a bunch of old threads, just the ones that interest me.

I ran across a seller a couple of day's ago. He states he was ebay's number 5 seller, woopie!! He had over 300,000 or 400,000 feedbacks, but his feedback rating was 83%, let me say that again, 83%. Yikes. You could not pay me to buy something from this seller.
As for buyers with inflated shipping and handling charges I just go to the ebay comunity support link and report them. I ran across a guy the other week who had nothing but store listing's and everything was buy it now for 99 cent's with outragous shipping fee's. I reported him and they closed all of his store listing's. Hope he learned a lesson.
