Hi all,

I tried to post last evening but didn't succeed. Anyway, here's my tree:

This is a 4-foot tall vintage fake tree - bought it in 1989 when we lived in a small condo. It's followed me ever since!

Do you guys have ornaments you ALWAYS have on your tree?

The styrofoam bell up near the top has been on mine since 1974. My youngest son's preschool took pictures of the kids and made ornaments. That pink thing near it is one of the favors from his wedding the end of July. The red felt tree on the left my oldest son made when he was about 5.

Not in the picture are the green handprints of my middle son, dated December 23, 1976.

Replay - Is that Peachtree and an older version of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign perhaps) I see on that tope shelf?

Can't read anything but the colors look very familiar

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

Fenix- Peachtree: Nope. Although I have Quicken for my checkbook, I do most of my accounting the old-fashioned way - I guess a lot and make the rest up.

You are CLOSE with the Adobe stuff. At least it's a graphics package. It's the Poser/Bryce/Canoma Suite.

I know Classic - step on her tail in the dark on the way to the bathroom at night and you will REALLY think you are in a horror movie. I did that once and she dug all claws in and bit me on the leg. My husband didn't know who screamed the loudest - me or darn cat!!! We still laugh about that.

lol ladyjewels2000 I see you have a Boss too ! Rofl on the scream story...I sprained my foot on my Boss. I stepped on his tail,he screamed ,I screamed....I jumped off his tail and landed wrong lol but get this, when I jumped ..he dashed and I landed right back on his tail again ....so I jumped and landed wrong again !! It's funny NOW but when it happen it hurt like heck.

Heres the one that starts the Boss off ...then she lays down somewhere and lets him take the blame lol

Oh thanks, Toasted! I just wish I had taken some digital photos of my family lighting their menorahs. I just sat, too pooped, on the couch after making donuts and latkes.

It really is a pretty sight to see all the candles lit and my husband and kids surrounding them-- yeah, after the blessings, those cornballs even sing something together, too.

But you can't decorate a menorah much, so I'll just enjoy the photos here- even more posted tonight!

Have a wonderful, special Merry Christmas everyone!

I haven't put a full size tree up in 5 years or so but the kids are coming over for Christmas morning instead of Christmas Eve this year so I decided to do it up right.

I'm just now getting around to putting the tree up however and I remember one very important thing about putting up the tree.

Start at the bottom and work your way up. I had forgotten that and by the time I got to the bottom I was doing a kind of Christmas tree limbo thing.

Now to start wrapping presents....where does everyone find the time to do it all???

We didn't put up a Christmas tree this year as I am just too tired to "redecorate" every morning after the cats have been busy all night. LOL

Here is a cute song that someone sent to me that is "sung" using the "O' Christmas Tree" music.

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Your limbs make me so happy!

They're so much fun to tug and pull
How are thy limbs so climbable?

Got in trouble, made the star drop,
it's so much cuter with me on top!

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Much pleasure doth thou bring me

Oh Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Your ornaments delight me!

The way they tease, I can't ignore,
I'd rather see them on the floor!

Let's not forget the Christmas lights
they're so much fun for me to bite!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree
Much pleaseure doth thou bring me!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Our pathetic little tree--beautifully decorated by (mostly)my 4 year old. They could only get their hand-made ornaments on-didn't fit-left everything else in the boxes.

Our new little member--Snickerdoodle-in his favorite place keeping an eye on the dogs.

Seal Point Himalayan--Can't beat a Himmy. My last one was a cream Himalayan and he was THE BOMB-Cashmere. Didn't think I could replace him but this one is a bundle of joy.

epoweryourlife, hope that bowl is not something you sold on eBay because by the time Snickerdoodle outgrows it the buyer will be yelling about non-delivery! That kitty is really a cutie!

Classic,
My friend just told me she went to the store and bought a Siamese with white paws. Went home thinking she got jipped that it might not be purebred, after neutering the cat she finds out it was bred for white socks and temperment-called Snowshoes- and they cost a whole lot more.
