Well I really just want to gripe but this newbie no feedback bidder I had really whizzed in my wheaties you might say.
First and foremost I am a very understanding person and really don't go looking for trouble. But this person didn't have to put funny comment in her reply That just went all over me. They think that their tiny bid makes no never mind but when you get a lot of them lately you just stop understanding...
It went like this on the dispute console: /////////
ME Jul-29-05 at 23:08:45 PDT
eBay Jul-29-05 at 16:48:32 PDT
An Unpaid Item dispute has been opened for the following item: Factory Boxed FORD Floor Mats Crystal Blue Taurus/Tempo (#7987208609)
Reason given for Unpaid Item: The buyer has not paid for the item.
Buyer actions reported by seller: Other reason.

I don't want them a friend bought me some better ones for my birthday coming up soon. If i get a unpaid
strike nothing i can do about it sorry thats life. I am not paying for them now i don't need them. The
buyer must be hard up reporting me for a few dollars to funny.

////////
Me again::::
I am not hard up it is a matter of getting back the fees I have to pay Ebay for something a buyer
does not want after winning the bid on them. I have to file this to get my fees back. OH so
FUNNY.... I understand you not wanting them seems you would understand my wanting to not pay fees for something you bid on and did not honor. ///////////

ME again immediately closed the dispute didn't want to get into a bigger dispute. so left this comment.
Dispute closed they don't want the item I want fee credit.
/////////////

Now it is waiting game to see if they leave negative feedback or not. I would love to neg them big time just because they think it funny.
Will wait them out and see what they do but normally I just go about my business and forget it but this person just really hacked me because of their comment about too funny. I guess I was not in mood to think it funny....
Anyone else got an opinion? Ebay sells are down and lots lower than the good ole days and the gall of a newbie thinking we are hard up to file against them . Shame Ebay does not charge them the fees they cause us that may stop them from bidding on stuff and not paying. Would not be money in our pockets but might make them stop bidding then backing out.

course, there's shipping and handling, too.

I think we all have had at least one NPB irk us to no end. I wouldn't be afraid of retalitory feedback. Most buyers understand it. Of the 2 negs I have, one was a retalitory.

The way I understand it, if you had waited the 7 days with no payment, they would have gotten a UPI, but more importantly, any negative feedback they left would be removed by eBay.
That's the way my ever-so-helpful eBay rep said it would work now (since the last eBay Live).

What a dumb situation, huh! Sorry you drew a bad newbie. I like your idea of Ebay charging her/him for the fees. I suppose they could be taken out of PayPal automatically - or would that be illegal. Too early in the morning. Must get coffee. Must get coffee.

Been there, done that. Give them a neg, they deserve it. Also make sure they are NPB. Maybe it will sink in that this not done for fun. We are live people trying to make some extra $$.

I have an ongoing purchase that is getting nowhere. I had someone buy about $130 worth of items from my Ebay store (they range in price from $1.55 to $4.10). After a few days they pay Paypal. I look at my Paypal payment and they didn't include the shipping. I refunded the money back and told them they needed to include shipping. They even filled out the Vendio checkout and it showed the shipping but they still shorted me. Well, this was almost 2 weeks ago. I have yet to see the payment remitted. They have sent me several emails asking about shipping and the latest one a few days ago asked me if I took Paypal. Um Duh!!! I nicely told them they paid me the first time using Paypal. I explained in this last reply that they need to pay for these items so I can mail them and finish the transaction. Still no payment as of today. I am getting ready to tell them I will file a NPB alert for partial payment because this is getting ridiculous. I want payment or my fees refunded. I do not have time for playing games. Their feedback is private but they have 100%.
posted on July 30, 2005 04:24:16 PM new
NEVER!!!!!! NEVER !!!!!! NEVER give them shorted amounts BACK. NEVER! Now they have CHANGED their mind, I doubt you will EVER see anything....I ahve MANY who have NEVER sent the shorted amount and NEVER heard from them again. weird..... matters not HOW much they paid either(for the ITEM).
posted on July 30, 2005 04:45:52 PM new
And thinking about this more, YOU willingly refunded their payment. Partial as it may be, but they DID pay you. You have now entered YOURSELF into a position of having no rights to File a NPB....
They PAID for the PRODUCT. Shipping fees is non of e bays concerns...

You know Jack all the times that I have posted here your replys to me have all been negatively geared towards me and I am in no mood for your BS. Sure I may have made a huge mistake and I may pay for it in the end but everyone makes mistakes and I am sure you are no exception. We all learn from our mistakes. So just stay out of my business until you can say something nice.

Jack--Sorry but I just get negative stuff from you with every post it seems like. I just have to vent every once in a while. Sales are sh---tty right now, just got back from a 4 hour drive to find only 1 sale in 2 days and still no payment for this one order and I have a massive tooth ache with no extra cash to see a dentist so I am stressed and then I post something to vent and I get your input which summarized "You screwed up so you eat all fees and tough cookies to ever getting your payment". I really didn't need that right now. I am apologizing for getting mad at you. Just try to be a little more sympathetic when you post if you know someone just screwed themselves royally. OK

Aw, Jack just sounds like he's yelling. But, I have to agree with him. I never refund the payment if they leave out the shipping. I just don't ship until they send the rest of the money. Sometimes if my profit on an item is high enough, I send it anyway after a time. It's better than having to put the items back into stock.
You are right though, sales suck right now. I had a pretty good day today, but the rest of the week was pretty bad.

Regarding refunding, from the way I have read PP's Seller Protection rules, if you are paid for an item over more than payment, you are not covered. I have refunded and gotten full payment subsequently.
I'm not a lawyer, but I would hate to have a chargeback be allowed by PP because I didn't follow the rules about 1 item = 1 payment.
I have at times allowed someone to send a check for the difference, but I never allow 2 PP payments for the same auction.
Claude
PS Jack just types funny I've learned to read his posts with a special mental filter.

Jack...Wasn't there a couple cases of dental extraction pliers in that load of flip flops you got recently? You could offer to pop that aching tooth out for meowmix and save her the cost of a dental bill. That would probably help her look at you in a different light

Call me kooky - but wouldn't it just be easier at this point to send them a PayPal invoice?
As long as we are venting - here's one that would probably piss me off if it were not so pathetically funny at the same time...
To Seller, i am very sorry but i have just been declared bankcrupt if you need written proof please let me know
This was a £10.00 ($17.00) item and they did a BIN on it just 8 days earlier.

I typed a nice email to the buyer I was having difficulty with and even offered to end the transaction as mutually agreed to cancel. They finally paid the full amount but now I have to refund shipping differences because they wanted the order sent UPS but their confirmed Paypal shows only a PO Box and I told them just right after the sale ended that I will only ship to the confirmed address. Part of the error was my fault for not catching the address and shipping choice on the Vendio checkout sooner than this.
Sparkz---Funny one with the pliers. I have been popping Advil for the past few days. I do have dental insurance but I have a $50 copay.
Fenix--I tried to send an invoice soon after they ordered about 50 or so of my items but the Ebay invoice system wouldn't show more than one item. In other words it wouldn't combine the whole order under the user ID. I even tried to do it on a different order with another buyer and it did the same thing. I did send them a Vendio WBN with all info and they filled out the checkout.
You know I should be happy as a camper since I just got back from my one day Honeymoon. We got married Friday in Eureka Springs and Honeymooned in Branson last night and today. It was so hot. Our air in our van went out and we didn't have time to get it fixed before we left so we were dying on the 4 hour drive home from Branson. Maybe that's another reason I'm in a blankity blank mood. (Well not the honeymoon but the HEAT!!)

In defense of Meowmix: In one of the many threads on this topic in the past, several sellers had suggested refunding the partial payment. I've never had to do that, but I do remember people saying that was the thing to do.
Congrats on your wedding and honeymoon, Meow! Your hot ride home sounds bad, and people grit their teeth often when under stress. I wonder if that could have caused your tooth problem?

Definately going to neg them. Is it true they can't neg me back if it is a non paying bidder deal? Oh well if they do will give me chance to comment on their rudeness. I just hate to argue with someone who puts others down like this person did.
Thanks for all the responses and yes congrats to Meowmix.

now to see if they retaliate. say la vee how ever you spell that. . if they do leave me a neg gives me room to respond to her comments.

OH WOW they really Pi$$ me off now. They left me negative feedback in retaliation for the NPB neg I left them. Go look at their feedback and check out feedback they left for others. NOT just ME
The item number is in first posting at top. They bid and won another auction they changed their minds about and left them neutral but me a negative. I replied to their negative in my feedback but also am disputing it with ebay filled in reason they should remove it.
The gall of some people. Knock your product saying they got better when they didn't even pay or get item to even compare them. BUT that is beside the point. Their first email to me was that SHE-- not a friend bought a better set at an automotive store and didn't want the mats anymore. Well that was fine but then when I fole for fee return to say I was hardup and it was too funny I would file NPB against them and that someone else bought the mats for her (Get your story straight)
For crying out loud she is new but to be tacky when all you wanted to do was get your fees back is GALL city!!!!!!!!!! Well I have other words for that but can't type that here. LOL I just had to vent again!
EWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!
Any comments from any been there or any opinion is much needed to calm me down. LOL well it ain't the end of the world but they should not be able to leave negatives when they are the ones to bid and not Pay.... OH I contacted the other guy and told him to go see feedback left for others in feedback of that person to show he was not only one jilted. Hope it was alright to do that cause I did it.
IT is not the few cents I am concerned with it is the way and why I get a negative. If you don't let people see how a bidder is they keep getting away with it. Poo on that. darn I am still steaming. earlybirdgetsworm at ebay is me at ebay if you want to see for yourself.

well well well Ebay is no help. Bull, below is EBAY's email to my request. Go to Square trade and probably cost me ta-boot! Well just read all about Square trade that is beating a dead horse.!!!!!!NO justice. Bull corn. Does not seem to be a win for any seller at ebay. Now that negative will last 6 months if I remember right how long it shows up in top score box heck may be a year.. NO matter how crappy it is you still are marked. This is 3 negative just like this on my record in last 7 years at ebay and I pride myself in being honest and up front and bend over backwards to be a good and reputible seller. I know there are always those out there you could not please if you hung them with a gold rope. LOL Still venting! Anyone got ideas?????
