Hi ladyjewels,
I received my email today as well, and it is legit.
I just copied and pasted the link into the address location and clicked on from there.
Everything came up O.K. It was the information on jewelry page.
It was my understanding from the phone call there would be a link.
It's probably O.K. to click on that link in the email, but I was wary and did it the other way.

It seems weird to me. Maybe it is eBay's sneaky way of varifying phone numbers. To be safe, I still wouldn't click any email links.

St - when ebay verifies a phone number it is an automated call - you press the designated number as directed and you are done - number verified - no humans involved.
