Muriel,
Either pissed or depressed is a good sign.
It indicates that they are sensitive and
aware of what is really happening.

Happiness is temporary insanity.

Due to the perfect mix of many medications, I am always wired AND extremely happy. Does that make me a fool? I think not! That makes me best friends with my pharmacist.

Alas. Insensitive and unaware.

Muriel...

Please divulge the name and address of your pharmacist at once...

I never take medication, not even asprin. I do find that a very dry vodka martini works wonders.

Toke: Well, right now he's in Vegas restocking, er, I mean vacationing, but he'll be back Monday (I hope!!). At least that's what I was told by his replacement. I'll get back with you.

You folks are too funny.......

So do the "pissed" people all go through life lucky as can be then one day it all comes crashing in on them!?!
I know several people who'd stab you in the back if it benefits them(so called friends and family)...They seem to have it all yet they are totally miserable.
Makes you wonder.......

zkatt-I guess it depends on what all is. I can go sit at the lake and watch the sunset and know that the guy next to me might be a millionaire but his view isn't any better than mine. Of course he might drive home in a better car.....

Actually, "contented" may be a better
option for most people.

Having stuff and money means nothing to
me.

DECEMBER3......By"all" I meant fancy house, new cars, $$$, and never getting back all the crap the spew out.
HJW......I agree money and "things" don't mean much...especially if you have no one to share them with.

When I'm pissed off it's because it pleases me to be so.

I don't know if I'm happy, but I'm easily entertained.

Zkatt I agree with Femme and the others who've said that you need to purge yourself or distance yourself from negative people.

I get mad at someone but I can't seem to stay mad(even when they screw me over bigtime).

I don't think the goal should be staying mad. The anger can't help you so why hold onto it? Instead, I'd recommend that you give your dad a clear message about what you will and what you won't tolerate in the relationship and then make it stick. This is a tough one though and I wish you luck.

Not paranoid anywhere else but here!

I'm too goofy not to be happy...

Besides, there is no profit in being pissed.

Drugs and alcohol make the day go round...

A number of years ago, after another Holiday which included my mother, my hubby said to me that "when a relationship reaches the point where it hurts more to be in it than out of it, it is time to make the decision not to involve yourself in the pain any longer." It was like a light bulb turning on for me. After four decades of her unending, psychotic abuse I walked away. It empowered me to take care of myself and heal. I now know that I can choose who and what is in my life... positive or negative, pain or happiness.
