give it a rest. i tried to help you with your lemmings-to-the-sea approach to cultivating business and seo ranking but you've got your mind made up in the reverse manner and there aren't enough hours in the day for me to sit here and debate this with you.
i haven't gotten to #16 position out of 742,000 on google in under a year for vintage postcards by not knowing what i'm doing. and ***that*** is why my seo clients listen to me.
by the end of the year, i'll probably be at the #8 position. this is with no pay-per-click (ppc) expensive advertising, just natural search. that's worth far more to my business than a few pennies from eBay. if you insist on cluttering up your code with refid stuff that search engines don't like and which google at least quite specifically advises not using, go fer it! jeez.
keep those blinders on; it's good for the rest of us have a nice life, hasta la vista, etc.

Wait, wait, .... you fry me after virtually every post, belittle a business plan which has just as much validity as what you claim, and then brush me off?
I can see where you would be upset with the glaring error in my post. However, I am having trouble understanding why you are upset in having to respond to my questions. It's too bad that you can't answer them.

Well, now that the naysayer has left the building, we can get back to serious consideration of the ebay FVF referral credits.
I am going to push ahead and complete the rework of all my listings, both Vendio and ebay, to include the ebay referral links.

I'm with vintage here. It is not smart business sense to direct people away from your own website to ebay.
You have someone in your website or store where you can make the sale outside of ebay. But you want to send them to ebay so you can pay ebay for the same item. You seem to forget that you are getting a partial credit.
ebay has a program known as, "Store Referral Credit" which will pay 75% of a store's FVFs.
Your FVF in your off ebay site is ZERO. You refer that same person to ebay for the same item, now you are paying ebay. Lets say the FVF is $4.00. Your referall credit is $3.00. You pay $1.00 to ebay for doing all of the work to get YOUR customer to not buy on your website and to buy on ebay.
Everyone else on this thread has tried to tell you that. But if you insist on giving your hard earned money away, please go for it.
