The profile looks a lot more like Robin Williams than Jay Leno, IMHO.

Thanks all for the support. I expected this auction might give a few laughs to my friends, family, and eBay Outlook colleagues. I think with 196 hits it may be reaching a wider audience.

A friend I sent the link to passed it along to her ex husband, an anthropologist who wrote a book on anthropomorphism in religion. Wonder what he made of it.

Isn't there someone here that's witty enough to "ask" some questions of the seller? I'm sure there are some clever ducks on Vendio!

Funny you should ask that, Toybuyer. I offered up an opportunity by asking "What is Anthromorphism?" and "Does it have any special powers?" earlier.

While the response was well thought out and very thorough, it didn't get the reaction I had expected.

And, the response wasn't added to the listing, either.

The auctions that get people talking are those which add on more as time goes on - and especially responding to questions.

Oh, well. I did add it to my watch list and will be interested in what it ends up at in the end.

I don't think it's going to even get into the 3-digit area though. No offense at all intended, but it doesn't have enough of the "buzz-worthy" appeal. I think those auctions that make it to the Pulse for their uniqueness (not porn) are more "blog-like" than we see here.

And, when I said that I didn't intend any offense, it's because I wouldn't be willing to invest the time and effort it takes to get the cult-like following necessary to drive the price up into the hundreds of dollars area. And, it takes some creativity that can make your brain hurt .

(I forgot to add that I couldn't communicate with Photosensitive directly via e-mail either because the "Hide e-mail address from recipient" button was selected and "UseTheFlippin'LittleYellowButton" address was the result of "Reply to Sender."

Oh well.

Hi TheFamilyBiz, I thought it was you from the name but did not want to assume. Guess you have me nailed. I don't have what it takes to be a really outrageous seller of weird things on eBay. Didn't want to answer in a flippant way if it was not you and missed how to add the question to the listing. I have not listed for awhile and will have to check to see if I can add questions after the fact. The other questions I have gotten are about free shipping if the bid is over a certain amount and I added that to my listing.

I said early on that I was not comfortable giving it a very religious slant because I don't like to make fun of others beliefs even those that I don't share. This is not a major problem since I am doing this for fun and should never have to make a living in the "Weird" category on eBay.

Also sorry about hiding the email address but this is my first venture into selling "weird" and I checked it on all the replies I made. I will be glad to give you my address if you give me a hint that you are a Vendio colleague.

Thanks again for the assistance.

photo, CONGRATS!what a fun site that most watched is! I can't find the site I am thinking of. It is some person in the UK who has a daily/weekly paper with the mostest and weirdesst things on ebay this week. I think I found it origionally through a link on this site. Hopefully someone else will chime in with the link.

Was it disturbing auctions?

http://www.disturbingauctions.com/daily/

I have no time today - maybe someone else wants to cite photo's auction there?

Is it true that you give your dog 6 biscuits after breakfast? How does she stay so sveldt? I used to give my Golden Retriever 2 per day until he was very old - what the heck, I fed him his favorite Milk Bones as his sole food the last year of his life.

Actually we have cut her back from 6 to 4. She is almost 11 and was always really slim. You only saw that when she was clipped. Just lately she is getting a bit more tubby so we have cut her back. She has always been self regulating on food. We keep a bowl of the dry food her vet recommended for her allergies in the kitchen and she eats a little when every she likes. Or rather whenever she can get one of us to stand by her while she eats. She does not like to eat alone so she will find one of us and herd us into the kitchen. This is one of the reasons we feel like she has some sheep dog in her mix.
