Does finding the auctionwatch message center count? Everybody over here is so friendly and happy that it's a great way to start out the day!
As for a story, I can't think of a specific one but have had more blessings than I could possibly count.

I actually got the insurance check from UPS for a package I sent and they left out where it could be (and was) stolen. It came Monday.

Hi All!
I have to agree with all of the other posters on this thread who have mentioned the posters of AW as one of the best gifts they've gotten.
At the risk of turning this into a lovefest, I have to say that the people here have to be the friendliest and most helpful group to be found on the Internet.
Everyone I have encountered here has been at least polite and courteous, and many have gone far beyond that. It would take the whole page to list those who have made this such a wonderful place, but I would like to mention a few who have made special impressions on me.
Rocker, Whose humor, energy, and enthusiam have, I think, impressed all.
VeryModern, whose intensity, insight, and genius have afforded many hours of entertaining reading and help where needed.
cmbtboots, who has managed to be warm, friendly and full of humor while undergoing some very difficult times herself.
All the participants in the 'Who Stays Up The Latest' thread, who have all shown that life is not meant to always be serious, and good humor can while away the sleepless hours.
MichelleG, who has given moderation a good name.
And many, many others. I should also mention Femme, who, unbeknownst to herself, can count me amoung the 'number of people whose lives you've touched'.
And special mention to the Aussies, who have shown that good humor and good will extends far across the boundries of ocean and country.
So to all of the people who make the AW message boards what they are:
