My son accuses me of swearing while driving. He still thinks "jerk" is a cuss word. He's been in a sheltered grade school - the only swear words he's heard were from a PK in Salem. I suppose all that will change in middle school.

roadsmith, you can probably retire on the money from that Elvis card.

Send him to summer camp. My 9-year old daughter could make a sailor blush.

etex, do you really think so? There are two Elvis cards (actually three, but the third is a straightforward one imprinted "Elvis and the Colonel". I'll do my very best to describe them, of course, but I'd be happy with results similar to the last ones I sold.

Yes, I do. Especially with the envelope.

Course there is no figuring buyers. I have just started again on eBay with 7 cards sold. I re-listed a few with high number of lookers at a price with a BIN price only 25 cents higher than the auction price. One of these now has two watchers. I ask myself why I would watch and not just buy for 25 cents difference. But what do I know? LOL

"For anyone who watches Jeopardy--last evening there was a question about a Christmas card from Elvis and his manager, 1958, with the manager dressed up as Santa. I went to my pile, and not only do I have that card, but I have the envelope it came in, with the Graceland return address and the manager's card superimposed on it. The other Elvis card I have shows him in an army uniform and his manager as well. I'm listing the first one this coming Monday, along with several others. There's a card from the Mickey Hargitay family, probably early 60s, showing Jayne Mansfield and, among the children, Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order gal). I'll post a message here when they're up. ~Adele"
