I'm a powers seller on eBay. I do 10 auction a day and have worked up to 200.00 plus a day.
AW fees will just take to much. I do not use any thing other then the picture hosting and in over one year this will be the thrid time I've posted on the board. I think they should charge for all the extra stuff but leave the basic servcie along. I do not like the post sell set-up and I find there store front to be a bigger waste of time but the extras are what they should charge for.
In the last week I have 8 out of 10 auctions lanch with out the pictures I should pay for this service, will the refund any moneies for auctions that lanch with out picture or will they make it so hard to get your nickle back it will not be worth the time. TIME IS MONEY.

Hello...I noticed the outrage from most of your users concerning the new rates. I'm a Gold Powerseller exclusively on eBay and processed 15,193 auctions last year. According to my calculations AW want $200.00 per year PLUS $.05 per listing for (in my case) image hosting and auction uploads. This will cost me $200.00 plus $759.65 for listing fees or a total of $959.65 for your services? Surely there is a better plan for all concerned available? I think AW should have contacted their higher usage customers and asked for their input before this terrible decision was made. AW is user friendly and very reliable but not worth a THOUSAND DOLLARS a year from ONE person. Any feedback you might have would be greatly appreciated.

I am a powerseller on ebay mostly of antiques and collectibles, who has several ISP's and websites, but used auctionwatch about half of the time, for easy listing procedures, image hosting, and counters. I liked that I could schedule the launch for different times.

I have just about never posted on this chatboard, but I am here now to say goodbye. A percentage of the final value fee is inappropiate and excessive.

Another web service that has sucumbed to greed! What happened to alway free! It forced me to learn how to use my ISP web hosting service that is free...it took me all of 5 minutes to figure it out...next I will conquer HTML and make my own templates....Don't need AuctionWatch anymore! I hope more will leave and let them know that greed is not good! :~]

I was using AW to list and host my pics. As a "small" seller, no way am I going to be nickle and dimed to death! I would have gone along with the listing fee, but no way will I go along with the percentage fee! I have been looking for an alternative and, so
far, have found Auctionflow which seems very similar and does not charge. I too, did not use AW's followup agreeing with a previous message that it was too impersonal. I enjoy writing my own emails when an auction finished and enjoy personal contact. I will no longer list on AW! Adios AW!

For 2 years AW has been so generous by allowing me to host my pictures on eBay auctions.

AW, eBay, & I have come a long way in the past two years. AuctionWatch has been my backbone and for the most part & a very reliable one. Image hosting is detrimental for success on eBay, without AW, I would still been plugging away at a 9 to 5.

I want to thank the staff for all of the long hours, commitment, and help. You have my sincerest gratitude for everything and I feel it is just for AW to now require funds for patrons to take advantage of the services offered. I know it will only improve with time as it has in the past.

It's about time AW started charging!!

I always wondered if the ads on AW's pages really paid for everything...

However, It was extremely RUDE not to inform me about this complete change of usage, I stumbled on to this information and I wonder why this change was introduced in the manner it was... Geez... Was every current employee at AW previously a used car salesman in a bad neighborhood? What gives? Why not a notice or a hint, WHY WASN'T AuctionWatch FORTHCOMING/UP FRONT/INFORMING...HONEST?

My hat's off to the staff on AW's payroll who agree with me - I know some employee's (personally) and even from the inside they feel this was a crappie way to do business and are embarrassed, I would be too.

I currently have several pictures loaded which I intended to use later this month... I guess I have to bust my ass or pay out of it - huh?

An informing eMail would have been appropriate and respectable, after all, you send me one every month anyway... I could have excepted paying for the image hosting (which is the only thing I use) BUT- AW's top poopyheads apparently got VERY greedy with the fee concept... EVERYBODY AGREES WITH ME ON THAT POINT!

I plan to make plenty of income through hard work and dedication on eBay, and I would gladly pay a reasonable fee for AW's services, but I am so offended by AW's complete lack of tact and absence of respect! I couldn't feel more betrayed and the confidence I once had in AW is now abandoned because of the blatant lack of integrity and breech of commitment of members like myself who have been treated so badly & so quickly.

This short notice was so unanticipated, and the greedy final auction fee's is so horrible.

MODERATOR:
Please make sure your CEO reads this - print it out and tape it on his monitor before you lock this thread OKAY?

SHAME on AW - I thought there was far more ethical standards & you guys could have been far more personable to the individuals who have faithfully patronized your service. The majority would stick around and contribute, but you pushed this way too far with the GREED.

I intend to pay for image hosting service, but not through AW.

It was nice, we could have gone somewhere, I would have paid - but now you can forget it.

-Poof-
Did I type that out loud???

Hi, I posted in this thread a few days ago, and I have just been stewing on thius whole thing and am totally P.O.'ed. $200.00 a year, or 1% of the final value fee. In order to make the $200.00 a year worth it, you have to sell $20,000, on E-Bay, plus almost another $1,000 to cover the $.05 fee. I usually run about 50 to 80 auctions a week, or more, most of them are postcards, that start at $5.00. I am a power seller, but I have to work hard at this. I don't want to work for Auction Watch, I want them to work for me. That $.05 an auction sounds pretty sneaky to me. That can really add up. I will use AW right up to the bitter end, but I am disgusted with the whole thing, and am glad I didn't take Mister Lister off of my computer. I never use the post sale services, or the inventory managment. I have had alot of problems with various bugs, that I have never complained about because the service was free. Are they going to fix these things? Probably not. I appreciate the two years of free image hosting, and would've been glad to pay for it. I would be glad to pay now, if the rates were reasonable. They are NOT! They are excessive, and unreasonable.

I WILL NOT PAY ! ! ! !

WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR SOMETHING I CAN GET FREE SOMEWHERE ELSE?

Man, this has me upset....Give me a break ! ! 2 week notice?

Listen Children of Management! If the kid across the street is selling lemon-aid for a penny a glass, why set your stand up in front of him and sell the same lemon-aid for a nickle a glass? DUH ! Go outside, get some fresh air and a reality check...Graduates of pre-1st grade can figure that one out.

You want 1% of our profit from an auction you do not even HOST? Isn't that internet fraud?
