Libra, that is not true:

"If I list an item before midnight on February 20, 2008, but the item sells after February 20, 2008, will I be charged the new Final Value Fee?
If the listing is confirmed before 00:00 PST (midnight) on February 20, 2008, the old Final Value Fee will apply if the item sells. Listings that begin on and after midnight on February 20, 2008, will be charged the new Final Value Fee if an item sells. This also applies to Good 'Til Cancelled listings - if the Good 'Til Cancelled listing renews before midnight on February 20, 2008, then the old Final Value Fee will apply for any purchases made until the next renewal date. Once a Good 'Til Cancelled listing renews on February 20, 2008 and has been charged the new Insertion Fee, the listing will then be charged the new Final Value Fee for all purchases made after the renewal."

So, again who picked the starting date?? and why??

Hi, Libra. I made my own with Paint Shop Pro. They give you the dimensions you need for your logo and for the front page pic. I think it's all very user friendly.

hwahwa - I'd like to boycott PP permanently.

Unfortunately, boycotting PP alone won't work. At least not for me. All my listings say that I accept PP. I'm not about to change almost 300 listings.

I will not be sell during that time frame either.

I feel that it's important for all of us sellers to stick together and by doing that maybe, just maybe something good will come of it. If not, well at least we gave it our best try.

We didn't just sit back and let Ebay do what they have always been doing to us, especially since this time is the worse ever.

And, if we let Ebay do this to us now without trying to let them know that we don't like what they are putting into motion. Then what is in store for us sellers in the future from Ebay.

I know lots of sellers can not go without a week of income, well neither can I, but I figured list more now before the 18th and maybe that income will cover the week of no listings.

You can keep an eye on what's happening in eBay at this site, which gives auction counts as well as sell-through info. (This week's stuff isn't showing yet.)

What about your stores? Are you putting them on vacation or just not adding to them?

merrie, i'm closing my store for now and if things change for the better then I will open a new store. I'm going to open a store on ecrater and maybe bluejay.

As I mentioned on another thread there are too many auction sites that are a waste of time so I will just keep searching,

I got a respectable number of Blujay sales at Christmas time.

They had me up as one of their showcase webstores.

I still get a sale or two a week there. I need to stock it with more variety and actually give it the attention in needs.

I'm working on Etsy listings and will maybe look into ecrater also.

I haven't quit my day job so with this list of things to do my evenings are pretty busy now.

Thank goodness...I'm not the couch potato type.

Is there any particular reason that many of you are not using a Vendio store?

Bill, I have a Vendio store and have not invested any time in it. I use it to mirror my eBay store in case of a catastrophic shut down of eBay. Vendio does nothing to drive customers to my store and my eBay listings, mirrored on Vendio, are not found in a Vendio search. I should try optimizing it, but I think my time is better spent elsewhere.

I don't want to use their photo hosting and I don't want to pay them a final value fee.

As a buyer I never look at Vendio stores unless someone mentions their own on this board.

BillK:

YOUR VD store looks GREAT, and, I think Ralphie's EMPORIUM came out pretty good (he studdied "Stores for Dog-Dummies" a WHOLE week), but, VD has really boloxed the job when it comes to it's STORES:

1) HOW can anybody SEARCH VD stores? WHY does VD hid the search box? A friend of mine is convinced that because one cannot easily search VD stores, that the VD stores are worthless, even though I argue that the one has NOTHING to do with GOOGLE SEARCH & that VD STORES show on GOOGLE SO...WHY DOES VD MAKE IT SO HARD TO DEARCH VD STORES???

2) The $4.95/month is worth it, but VD then makes it MANDATORY that ya use its worthless image hosting (WTF are the URL's with VD pics???) for a VD STORE, or it looks stooopid! I (and virtually everybody else) does NOT need anymore IMAGE HOSTING -- I've got image hosting falling out Ralphie's patatootie, WTF do we need MORE for? WE DON'T! And it's extremely aggravating that VD nickles-&-dimes one over this!

3) HOW does one increase SEO with a VD STORE? Beats the heck out of moi????

The VD STORES are GOOD, but it's VERY FRUSTRATING because they could be...GREAT
