consider these few tings when you refer to feedback... 1) what you are selling too... b/c this does make a factor in who you are dealing with. As age-ist as it may sound, the younger crowd seem much less affected by acting immaturely on ebay.

They are more likely to retaliate. Given the tools that ebay is setting them up with will make it much easier for them to screw over a seller even if you sent them a new in the box Sony flatscreen television for half of what it would cost them at any retailer... All it takes is for them to want a refund (even if your auction states no refunds) b/c they bought a tv that cut into their party budget and now they are mad at you b/c you won't give a full refund including shipping charges.

I'm not saying this is the norm, but look at the trends in crime, credit card abuse, etc. and who struggles with this the most... younger people. I remember being in college and living off of student loan money without any care about how much things cost, etc. You were more concerned about partying, scoring drugs, and how cool you looked... not about being responsible.

If your product is aimed at the older bidder, you are less likely to have problems down the road with feedback retaliation and manipulation. Someone selling antiques will likely have better feedback response than someone selling popular urban clothing.

pmelcher.

I'm not a powerseller either and frankly probably won't ever be one again (was a few years back). I do feel the discount to PS'ers is wrong, but it's not my company either.

That just reinforces my past posts on other threads to diversify. Own website and other auction venues.

deichen

You sound like you were one of my buyers.

I got an email from a buyer saying item arrived thank you. If you WANT feedback then leave it for me first or I will not leave you feedback.

I never leave feedback first

I wrote him saying its too bad that we can not exchange fb since this was a great transaction and it will never show on your feedback as a buyer. As for me I don't care if I get feedback.

He waited a day and then left me feedback so I left fb for him also. lol

" I do feel the discount to PS'ers is wrong, but it's not my company either."

I don't get it. Why do you feel it is wrong to reward the sellers who provide more revenue for the company than you do?

From what get out of it, buyers can leave positives or negatives and we can only leave positives? I rarely make the time to give feedback. Does this mean I will be getting negs right and left for not giving them?
