To be painfully honest, I am much too lazy to look this up. Are Stores still:

-A flat monthly fee
-An absurdly low listing fee
-A rather high FVF

And

-Do your items still roll over indefinitely if unsold?

Thanks,

You can list as "GTC" (good til canceled) or 30-day duration.

Yes! I've sold 15 store items so far this monrning (8 to the same buyer who also bid on an item listed yesterday). I sell something from my store every single day of the year.

Thanks, guys. Gals.

This is perfect for what I want to do.

Here is the problem I've had for years. I have nearly 100,000 photos of jewelry. There is no good way to name the images or even organize them. I've tried.

With my merchandise, I might have eight of one necklace -- that Christmas necklace, remember? -- in December, then not see it again in a shipment until May. By that time the December auctions have expired, I have to try to figure out what I called the image and I have to regenerate the auction from scratch.

But eBay Stores live forever! This is so cool. I can list an item in a Store with such an unreasonable price that no one will ever buy it, then when it shows up in a future shipment, bam! There's my picture and my auction text, together and ready to go. Even better, with Gallery on Stores, if I don't remember what I called the Christmas necklace I can just look through the Gallery listing.

I suppose one might argue I could just use TurboLister instead, but there you need to have some idea what you named the item so you can find it again. I think.

I do well with my store, which is why I'm not trying to jump ship like some Sellers. I need to run more auctions, but don't have the time.

Just wanted to let you know about this new website that pays us up to 36% of the seller's fees whenever we buy something on eBay.

We can also get cash back at other retailers and earn extra cash when other people shop.

Just use the link below to check it out and let me know what you think!

There you go,use AMZN Zshop or Ebay store or Yahoo store to manage your inventory or even Rubylane, you can drop your Rubylane item to Ebay auction- keep the item in your store backroom while it is on Ebay.

For this scheme, I'd prefer it NOT sell. I probably won't have it in stock at that moment anyway.

Don't be surprised if you sell it at the outrageous price. I think jayandmarie just use their store to organize their categories for their auction listings. You can do all sorts of cross promotions of your listings with a store as well.

Vendio has an excellent image management system with a search feature. I use it all the time to find images (I name my images and put a date at the end). I sometimes search for items by name and sometimes by date - thumbnails make them easy to find. You can set up folders too. You can also save listing templates that you plan to re-use and launch from those (you can attach the image to the template from the start). Not sure you want to go that route (still using a Mac?) but thought I'd mention it in case you haven't looked at Vendio lately.

Neglus - I was thinking the same thing about Vendio. You can set them up without launching them and launch whenever you feel like it.
I don't have as much luck with the search feature. How do you search if you know the date (you added) but not what you named it?
Fuffy the sub-files for images is great too.

Guys (gals), there's no effing way I'd ever let Vendio have control of my pictures.

It wasn't that long ago that there was a series of image outages.

True Fluff - Vendio USED to be a lot more reliable.

Lady - I name my images like this "easterkids3508" I just put "3508" in the search box and it brings up all images with that suffix

I sell items out of the STORE all the time!

I have to have a STORE, or I'd not be able to sell expensive SCALES & BALANCES...

If a model has 6 siblings, I'll list ONE as a FIXED-PRICE listing with a LINK to the other siblings in the STORE...

It's pretty effective...

The PC's in the STORE are slower, but they DO sell -- just sold one out of the STORE 1 hour ago for my FULL-PRICE of $9.99, even though on STORE items I offer: make an offer...It's actually surprising just how HIGH folks will actually offer!

Store items are more visible than ever (well, except for that brief period when store was intermixed with core in the general search). If 30 or fewer core items are found in a search, 50 store items with gallery are shown.

Fluffy,

You really might want to look at my website provider, Valueweb: Here's the plan I use:

http://www.valueweb.com/eCommerce/ws02.htm

It has integration with eBay (I've used it, and it works just like it's supposed to) so at any time, you can send any of your items to an auction or fixed priced listing. (It's actually using all the benefits of ProStores software, without the hefty pricing)

The cost for this plan is just $39.95 a month... so... if you plan on having more than 800 products listed... they'll end up being a much cheaper way to warehouse your listings.

I've found their direct phone support (which is free!) to be excellent... plus, rather than raising rates this year like ebay did... they lowered them! (they actually understand that technology should get cheaper as time passes, not more expensive).

Anyhow... with your technical expertise, I don't think you'd find the learning curve too difficult... and you could save a bundle! Just my thought!

If you want to store an auction without paying then maybe try Auctiva which is free and you could copy and past everything and put it in saved auctions.
Then when you want to list it you could send it up straight from Auctiva, they also store your pictures.

Hi Toni,

Auctiva is free because they slap eBay affiliate code on your stuff. Still, some people don't care about that, they just like the free scrolling marquee.

Hi Fluffy

So what your saying is when someone clicks on my scrolling marquee Auctiva makes money?

This I didn't know,

Fluffy - TurboLister organizes by the title you give your item. You can essentially title it anything you want to. I use it all the time. You can also synchronize your items.

I closed my eBay store because I got tired of paying so much for it and getting really nothing out of it.

Toni,

If someone clicks on your scrolling marquee, Auctiva gets a commission for anything that person buys on eBay for the next seven days.

The person who does the clicking won't even know they're making money for Auctiva unless she knows what to look for.

Would you happen to know if that is also true with Inkfrog scrolling marquee?

As for Auctiva scrolling marquee I'm going to stop using it. I don't really need any scrolling marquees.

The BIGGEST reason I use Vendio is to manage my 10,000+ inventory is I can give items a stock number (SKU)when I create a listing and the pic gets the same stock number. It really bunches up my knickers that I can't give an item a stock number with eBay when I create the listing.

With the SKU when something sells in my store after 6 months its a breeze to find it in my inventory.

My ebay store does well but the other niche auction sites I list on are coming on strong.

eBay better keep an eye on those little niche auction sites. A gazillion little bites out of your market share ads up.

With inkfrog, if you click on "visit my entire auction showcase", it takes you off eBay to inkfrog's site. From there, if you click on an auction, it attaches a cookie so inkfrog will get paid for any sales in the next 7 days.

You may sometimes hear that a link has been "roverized". That means it has an affiliate code and cookie attached to it.

So that's what "Rover" is? Everytime I click within Vendio Sales Manager to see my ebay listings I see "rover" at the bottom of the screen.

I have Firefox set to delete Cookies every time I close the browser. Will that take care of it?

Yup, that's Rover. Naughty doggie.

I don't know if that Firefox setting will work. I don't ever close my browsers or turn the machines off.

Fluffy, Autiva would work for your purpose. You can search your pictures by thumbnail or name and saved listings by name or browse by creation date.

When you want to run the listing on ebay just cut and paste instead of launch. I use Auctive for picture storage and shipping insurance.

I do not use Auctive or Turbo Lister to launch listings because they all throw too much junk code in there.

BTW, ebay store's item counts and searches are hosed again this morning. My items counts are off by 30% on most searches!

My store counts are "only" off by 2400 items - this happens every now and then to a lesser degree. The last time it was this bad was when they "rolled back" the Stores in Search. This week they "rolled out" Best Match. Something must be whacky in the "Rolling Process". Im Spring/Summer 2006 when they "Rolled back" lots of sellers went out of business. They blamed it on the fact that SIS was discontinued. I think it was because their items weren't showing in search. This wasn't fixed until September 2006 (I have scads of screen shots). If this isn't fixed soon we need to start making a fuss:
