Biffette, count me in as well! [email protected]

I've had about 50/50 with the checkouts, though lately the number of buyers who completely ignore it seem to be on the rise. I had one the other day who waited until I sent the second "URGENT: PLEASE RESPOND BY..." notice until he wrote me back to say that he didn't like automated checkouts and could I just email him the info. Go figure!

BIFFETTE:
Please send a copy of your wonderful EOA text to me at:
[email protected]

Thanks!

AW STAFF: WBNs are really working okay, it's the people (ie, our customers) that haven't or will not read that is the primary problem.

I do have a thorn that I need help in resolving regarding POST SALE refunds but I will post another thread on that.

Thanks All!

I get several buyers per week that actually fill out the entire form and then email me and ask for my mailing address???
Is it not right in front of them!

Hi Biffette:
I get about 70% response, maybe a little more since I started using the neat little thing where PayPal and/or Billpoint will insert the shipping info when the customer pays thru them.
My pet peeve is the form letter that eBay sends out "customer requests....blah, blah, blah".
I quite often get a Billpoint payment within
minutes of this notice, which tells me the "customer didn't really need..etc."
Please send a copy of your EOA notice to:
[email protected].

THANX IN ADVANCE.

and if they do get to the page:

I got onto the page okay from the link in your email, but I’d fill out the top portion, billing address, then I’d check a box next to the shipping info portion below to indicate same as billing info. When I clicked to continue, I got a error message directing me back a page to fill in the shipping info. I prefer to pay by postal money order because it’s near-cash for seller and traceable for sender. So it was easier for me to simply take your address info and circumvent that annoying glitchy system entirely. Let me know when payment arrives and you intend to send out to me, thanks! melissa

or:
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I am relieved to hear that it isn’t just me that has
problems with the link. It makes you feel like a complete computer idiot
when you can’t get things to work right.

I have dozens of responses such as these and growing the more folks I get to click the more complaints I get.

and more:

I’d like to send you a money order and will need your address.
My address for shipping is:
Susan Hunter
XXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXX

Thanks very much!
Susan

Biffette--would you please send me a copy also. Thanks [email protected]

In addition, I am brand new to AW and find all pretty much straight forward, but have 1 question. In the WBN notification, the default message says to click on the link at the bottom of the email to check out. What is this link to? I only use Ebay/PayPal, at the moment, so I am not sure what link I would put there.

Any help from anyone would be most appreciated...

thanks

Greg

Sounds like a typical response from one of my buyers.

Q: What happens if I push this button?
A: Push it!

Not meaning to make lite of this post but it really sums up this thread in my mind. No one clicks on the link (maybe 30% if lucky). Hint: Don't call it checkout imply it's something else don't lie stress it is an entry portal to your online store (if you maintain a storefront) or something else the phrase checkout seems to be a turn off.
