Thanks rhpepsi. I don't use IE, but I added the page view I liked to my FF navigation bar and it works!

jtomp - I found how you add the pictures back in. At the top of every section there is an "Edit Button". At the top of drop down, is the word "Customize" - it is clickable DUH! I thought you could just choose colors there!

When you click on "Customize", you get a box where you can choose make your own selections and pictures are one of the options. Make sure you hit apply after you select:

that is where you can COLLAPSE the sections you don't use also. If you are operating on a "slower" computer(Tandy1000 or Commodore64), the less you have visible(format, pictures, bids, etc.) the better the scrolling is. Plus you can move everything to the left also...

rh, what operating system and browser are you using? my page loads so slow it is just about useless. I am running Vista with IE7 over a cable modem.

ebay is telling users to change to FF or Moz browser but that is not an acceptable answer as far as I am concerned. The majority of ebay buyers are using IE and I want to see what they are seeing. If ebay cannot make this work for their average users then we are losing buyers.

No problems with pg loading using XP,IE6,DSL. My problem is I lost my ability to search favorite catagories. Where did they hide it?

I am glad at least this time that it wasn't just me having the problem. I did that customize thing too.

I really hate the new my ebay. I used to copy and paste the info from the myebay page to my spread sheet for tracking and accounting purposes. The new myebay locks up if I try that now.

Talk about something that is the exact opposite of a time saver. The new myebay is it.

LtRay...using XP -- IE7 -- high speed cable...can't jump right into the summary page, need to give it a few seconds to completely load(photos). Have it favorited, I pull it up and within seconds I can scroll with no problem. I usually only look at SOLD / SELLING / TOTALS on the SUMMARY page everything else is collapsed. Also only 25 items per section. I do have the photos, item #, buyer id, date, description. Just did it three times, the average was about 20 seconds to load to a point where the scrolling wasn't "choppy". Also found that it seemed to work better with the window FULLY OPEN (maximized on screen).

favorite used to be -- MY SUMMARY PAGE --now it is listed as "My eBay#GoTo315"...whatever that means

Mine loads instantly with FF + adblock with no scrolling issues (but do have wide screen monitor). Surely the designers didn't design just for FF did they?

My update for today!

On eBay.com when I click the MyEbay on the top right I am still directed to the Summary page of Selling Manager.

If I go to eBay.ca I still get the old MyEbay!

What a waste of my time! Still using my DH laptop while he is installing a new hard drive in MY computer and tranferring all the info.

they should try extra hard to be nice to their customers, that is the ones they still have left?

eBay management believes that buyers are their customers. They've said this repeatedly.

Unfortunately for management's cranial-rectal-inversion view of the world, buyers are leaving eBay, too.

Dump Donahoe!

Agreed, Fluff!

Somewhere over the last couple of days I saw the following and thought it really sums up the mentality of eBay over the past few years

"If it ain't broke......keep working on it until it is"!

Otteropp - this was posted on PS Board - have you tried doing this?

"1. Hit the ACTIVITY tab at the top left.

2. Hit SUMMARY on the drop down.

3. Follow instructions 1, 2 and 3.

4. You have just custom configured beta. It will run just as fast as the old."

It surely took me longer than 4 steps to get what I wanted on the page. I am not sure those are the exact steps I followed to get rid of Selling Manager so I could customize but it was something like that.

Trading at 11.75 right now. It's a vote of no-confidence in management.

Good thing money isn't important to Pierre. Most of us would notice if we'd lost more than half our personal fortune. I'll bet Jeff Bezos is doing just fine.

"Surely the designers didn't design just for FF did they?" Neglus

Design for FF? No, not specifically but they might as well have. This new interface is not working well for people running Vista and IE. Shorted sited on the part of the design engineers who chose to not recognize that not everyone is a techie running the latest, greatest, fastest softwares.

Entry level pcs are shipped with MS software and browsers. The majority of pcs are sold to people who want to use the internet and email and these people are not interested in having to learn the technical side. Since these users are not into the latest and greatest, when they encounter a slow website (or sometimes even a pop-up window), they will avoid that site in fear of getting one of those scary internet bugs they have read about.

How many people do you know (who do not sell online or have tech jobs) who have the technical ability to even know there are alternate browsers?

Expecting a customer to change their browser just to view one site is pretty lame but then again, I visited Old Navy's site today and ran into the same problem. Needless to say, I did not find or purchase the item I was looking for.

Flash player just is not working for people with Vista. Could explain why my plain jane ecrater store has seen business grow like crazy the last few months.

If buyers cannot shop ebay they start looking for alternatives and for those of us who have started spreading out on the net, our buyers are finding us.

I agree LTRay. But do buyers use "My Ebay"? Has the buyer experience changed significantly with new version? My guess is that most buyers don't even notice a difference or are only mildly irritated by it.

Yes, many buyers use My ebay to watch listings and keep track of their purchases.

Even my DH who does not do "computer stuff" uses the My Ebay page.

Further proof that customers use the page is the phone call I received tonight from one of my regular customers. She wanted to know if I had seen what ebay had done to the new page and was curious to know how I felt about it. She thinks the new page looks like it was designed by a teenager and looks like a cartoon. She too is tired of the ebay changes and asked if she could call me direct with her orders in the future.

In that respect I love ebay! I am more than happy to make a $250 sale and not pay ebay or PayPal a dime.

Does anyone know how to change the period time on our sold items I have been trying to change the custom setting in the drop down menu. It currently reads 3 days for me, I wanted to change it to 5 days. With no luck.
