Are you guys aware that if you use Fulfillment By Amazon you can go on vacation and Amazon will ship for you, even your eBay orders?

It's called Basic Fulfillment. You ship your inventory (all of it, if you want) to an Amazon warehouse. You notify Amazon when you have a sale, so yes, you'd have to take a laptop on vacation with you. They ship it. You get paid.

I am so there. Seriously. I'm sending all my books and media, then I'm going to stock FBA with my earrings, too.

I got the same email today. Talk about rubbing salt in the wound. Idiots. The vacation option is broke and nobody to contact that can fix it. EBay customer service......is there such a thing? I mean really can or do any of the service reps help?

One question I have with AMZN fullfillment is that if I ship my goods to their warehouse,is there a storage fee?

What if something went out of fashion/fad and I am left with remainders which could stay in AMZN warehouse for a long time,is there a way AMZN can unload them for me stay to liquidator?

Well, I got my TRS back ... still the same seller as I was last month (and the 8 preceding years).

Got my Power Seller status yesterday, and then my TRS today. Go figure.

I did have an interesting neutral feedback left for me the other day. The buyer claimed I didn't state the item he bought was the small size. Ironically, I did mention it was the smaller size and included measurements.

I called eBay and even though they could see his feedback was inaccurate compared to my listing, they consider it "opinion". I can also tell that he left me a lower DSR for item description b/c it dropped when he left feedback.

When I emailed the buyer pointing out his error, he ignored me.

He also left neutral feedback for another seller because "the bidding process felt off". What the he!! does that mean?

I left him positive feedback, but wrote, "Obvious Newbie. Paid"

Yes, there is. But it's not much and you would pay that with any fulfillment service. The beauty of outsourcing fulfillment is that it frees you up to do other things to make even more money.

At a basic level, you could hold down a full-time job even while selling a hundred items a day, without having to spend nights and weekends shipping.

As far as unwanted inventory goes, you can have them send it back or if you want, they will destroy it.

I am now doing FBA with my Amazon book sales and I love it. It does take a while to put together a shipment to the warehouse, so initially you have to budget time to get that done, but I love those "Amazon has shipped an item you've sold" emails. Better than getting a check in the mail.

Well, someone at Ebay heard you! This appeared in the announcements for the 27th.

"Previously, Vacation Hold kept Fixed Price listings from showing up in search results. With the updated Vacation Hold, your Fixed Price listings will be both hidden in search results and unavailable for purchase, so buyers who added your item to their watch list prior to it going on hold won’t be able to purchase it while you’re away. This keeps buyers from having a bad experience, and helps protect you from negative feedback and low detailed seller ratings."

At last! That IS an improvement that really will help sellers (like me) who can't run their eBay business from the road.

Very welcome news!

Now if they could make the "seller is away" banner on the item pages a different color than the white which blends into the page background....

LOL! Don't push it! I was really amazed to see that they actually did something like that to help us. While I haven't had any problems while on Vacation or in the hospital twice in the past year, I also had two daughters who helped out and at least emailed buyers and explained. Of course on vacation, I also had them monitor my account and called every day to get updates. I'm glad to see this turn! Now if we could get them to treat us better overall! I had those morons call and set up an appointment for seller development to call me. I recieved the conformation email but they never called. Guess a top rated seller does not count enough.By the way, anyone see that Ebay is now the major sponsor for Mark Martin's Nascar car? That cost big bucks!

So how much is storage fee?I am not talking about earrings, lets talk books or bicycles or chairs?
Can I buy truckload of remainder books and ask my vendor to ship to AMZN warehouse and let AMZN sort books out for me?

Packing and shipping books and DVD is not a problem, you can hold down a full time job during the day and then pack a book or DVD in a padded envelope and leave it in your mail box .

Are there limitations on what type of items they will hold and ship for you? Since I sell used auto parts my items range in size from very small up to and over the size limit the UPS will ship. My garage, side yard and living room and dining room have all been converted to inventory storage!Do they charge you storage on items?Naw, As much as I would like that, the deduction I get on my home office and inventory storage is something I tend to like!

My favorite is knowing that I am a TRS and a Powerseller... but when I sign onto my account I get a big giant message telling me I am below TRS standards.

The whole eBay system is a joke.

Well, I am using the new improved eBay vacation settings mentioned a few entries ago...with a total store closure so no one can purchase any FP items... and, lo and behold, I have just sold a fixed price (watched) item!
