How lucky Lauren was that she got to spend her life with such loving family and that she was so treasured. How fortunate that her life was happy--her pictures show she was! How wonderful to know that she was no less loved as she crossed over to the other side to a place of peace without suffering. A life well lived is one that brings joy to others. My sympathies to you Muriel, I know how it feels to lose a pet.

I seldom read the pet threads, Muriel. I'm sadly here for this one. I join everyone else in expressing my sympathy.

Muriel, I'm very sorry about your loss of Lauren. I hope you feel better soon. I know how tough it is when something like this happens. It's hard to lose a loved one. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thanks, again, all of you. Boy, I sure know where to come when I need emotional support. I e-mailed the news about Lauren to about 20 friends/family right before I posted this thread early this morning. So far, only two people have e-mailed me with condolences. That either means you guys are the greatest, or my friends/family are a bunch of bums. Hmmm.
Regardless, you guys ARE the greatest! I'm going to bed now, because it's been a long day.

Oh Muriel, I am so sorry for your loss, you have my deepest sympathies. I lost my sweet little schnauzer Maxie last year and still think about him often, but believe that I will see him again one day. After all, heaven would hardly be heaven without our pets, would it? Feel better.
PS - Sammy sends his slobbery puppy kisses your way!

Muriel - My sympathy to you and your family. I greatly love my rat terrier and depend on him for my daily happiness, so I appreciate your sorrow.

{{{{{Muriel}}}}} Many big hugs Muriel, I am SO sorry about Lauren. What a beautiful little dog. Well you sure did give her a happy life and she was so lucky to have a wonderful Mom like you.
I understand your pain absolutely. I have lost two kitties in my life, first Johnny, and then Louise. I thought I would have a nervous breakdown each time!
Maybe one day when the grief subsides a bit, you will welcome another poochie into your happy home and save an otherwise homeless pet, huh? Just a thought FOR THE FUTURE.

But I'm glad, because if they were acting all sad and mopey, I would feel even worse. Thanks for your kind words, and thanks to everyone else who posted, too. You've all made me feel much better.

Murial,
My thoughts are with you!
I lost my little friend last year yesterday.
I still break into tears. These are terribly special friends.
Hugs
Capriole
ps not a lot of folks understand how great their hearts are. Sigh ...missing my little bud as I write...
