(((((((((People))))))))))

Just coming on for a few for a much needed sit up and think break. My family and I appreciate all the kind words and prayers that went out and are still going out to us. The power of prayer is amazing and it certainly is evident in my case.

To make a long story really short, yes I had a major heart attack and that would have been fine with me, but when they went to do the balloon angioplasty, my heart and lungs collapsed and I had to be "coded" on the catherization table. Thank GOD the surgeon that was on duty that night is one of the best in the nation! He had to perform a very delicate emergency bypass as I had lost so much blood and he literally brought me back from the other side.

I'm home and recovering, although pretty weak and sleeping alot, which is not in their plans. I can do some of the exercises if prodded, but then get too tired to even stand up. So, we will be working on those walks this week even more. Maybe it won't be too long before I can go from one room to the next without being exhausted.

Thanks once again for all the nice wishes. It sure helps to know there are decent people out here!

When my Dad was recovering they threatened to give my step mother an electric cattle prod
since the surgeon seemed to understand our family humor. My step Mom could do even better - she kept making remarks about selling his golf clubs. Talk about motivation - I should say he won his clubs by playing for them.

My best wishes to mtnmama and her family during this time.

BTW, I'm so glad you posted this originally in the other auctions board--I'd have never found it otherwise.
