Greetings,
I like your new gallery and was quite pleased at first, however, I listed five auctions early today and only one is showing in the gallery. #2236543986 is showing, however, it does have one bid and the gallery doesn't indicate the bid. The four not showing are: 2236542227, 2236542710, 2236543108, and 2236543567. Also, the one in eBay motors, #2471740762 is not showing in the gallery.
Would appreciate your explanation and correction.
Many thanks,
Sharon

Hello,

The four that you first referenced are showing -- you just have to keep scrolling in order to get to them.

We are aware of the fact that eBay Motors listings are not being imported into the Vendio Gallery. We are working toward resolving this problem as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. Please check our announcements frequently as we will announce when this problem has been corrected.

Regards,

Sonya

Thank you very much, however, I have scrolled the entire gallery and items 2236542710 & 2236543108 are not there. In addition, I put more auctions on this morning and some are appearing and some are not. Perhaps there is a time lag but I started these at 4AM so they should be there by now I would think.

Please advise.

Sharon

Dear Sharon,

In order to keep the item information in the Galleries as up-to-date as possible, our system relies on getting timely and accurate item information from eBay. The average expected lag-time between when eBay has updated item information and when it is reflected in your Galleries is 1 to 2 hours.

At this time, we are aware of an issue where eBay seems to be dropping certain item information updates and not reporting them to us. We are working closely with eBay to determine why this is happening and why it seems to be affecting some user accounts more than others.

We apologize for any inconvenience the causes you and thank you for your patience as we work to resolve these issues.

Thanks,

Diana

I'd like to add here.

I have 60 some auctions running, and only one pic for one item is showing.

I used the Marqee gallery and it just rotates one pic, like I only have one auction running.

They have been up since Sunday. Well over 2 hours.

And what is with the cat drop window at the gallery it only shows the Cat the one lonley pic is in?

Also the message I added is not showing on the gallery.

Hello again,
Just wondering.....I have 56 auctions running but they are sure not all in the gallery. Have you folks worked out a solution yet?
Looking forward to your reply.
Thank you.

After reading all these posts, I also took a closer look at the gallery pix. Sure enough, I have three active auctions missing out of 34 and four showing that closed 12 hours ago. Certainly outside the one-to-two hour update window! Please keep us updated as you work to resolve the glitches.
(All-in-all, though, GOOD JOB!)
Thanks,
Susan

Just a thought...... Are we going to be charged the FULL price of this option while you work out the bugs? I mean heck, Many of us are not getting the full service yet we are paying the full price.

I am also having problems with the new gallery. Not all images are showing and only 1 that posted yesterday is there today. I agree with another person who posted, "should we have to pay the full price since the system is not even working?" I signed on so I would save money on eBay's gallery fees, but if this only confuses my customers, then I don't want the service.

I use AOL and my daughter uses Comcast...my gallery pictures are showing few and far between when I look and are all complete and perfect when she views my auctions. Could this be an AOL problem and not eBay as Vendio is saying???

Hello --

I wanted to give you an update on this top-priority issue: our team worked through the night and found the culprit in our system that was causing items not to appear in Galleries. It was a time function problem triggered by the recent time change/switch to Daylight Savings Time, and we have fixed it. We are currently re-syncing our system so your Galleries should be complete within the next hour or two. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Our team is continuing to work on fixes and improvements to Gallery, which will be rolled out in the coming days. We thank you again for your patience and cooperation as we work out the kinks in this new system.

Hi Everyone,

I have checked each of your galleries in our system along side your eBay seller list. Your galleries are now updated and contain the same items from your eBay seller's list. Thank you for your patience. Enjoy your Galleries!

We signed up for gallery pictures last night and still no gallery in any of our auctions. We have over 100 auctions and none have the gallery in them.

Hi, ellisgifthouse --

It appears that we do not have any eBay account information stored for you in your Vendio account. This prevents our Gallery system from being able to obtain any information about your items from eBay.

Please make sure we have up-to-date and valid eBay account information for you by clicking on the "My Account" tab, then scrolling down to the "Personal Preferences" section, and clicking on the "Auction Site Accounts" page.

Please let us know if there is any additional information we can provide -- thanks --

Sonya...you stated that you checked each and every auction of the posters in this thread and they are all present and fine...well, mine are NOT!! As I said before, could this be an AOL problem, since my daughter has Comcast and my gallery looks beautiful. When I look at mine (AOL), only about six pictures out of nearly 30 are showing???

Hi, ms24ktau --

Please tell us what version of AOL you are using to view your items, and what your connection speed to the internet is. Also, is there a specific item of yours that you are looking at which shows an incomplete Gallery? Your Galleries do appear to be complete when viewed over broadband/DSL connections.

Thanks --

Hello Christina I am using AOL 8.0 and I dont know my connection speed or perhaps I know it by another name. I have a 6 mo. old Sony VAIO PCV-RS 310 if that helps. Any help you can give me would be appreciated. I'm worried that many other people have computers in my class and they would be getting only sporadic pictures also. By the way..if I click on one of the "spinning stars" I do get one of my auctions..its just that the picture doesnt appear in the gallery

Gallery pics are not showing up for me either. I joined on Tuesday and as of today, not one picture on my 30 or so auctions has shown up in the gallery. It is a Marquee gallery. I can click and get the auction, but no pics have EVER shown up. I cleared my cache, checked by ebay info on Vendio, refreshed. No luck. I am on AOL 9.0. My auctions look terrible like this.

Hello --

The swirling stars graphic is the graphic we display as we are loading your item images into Gallery. If there are no images for an item, or if the image is taking too long to load, the Gallery will display the "Click to see this item" Red Curtain graphic as a placeholder, rather than taking up more time and bandwidth trying to load the image.

Note that, even if item images have not fully loaded, your other item information (such as title, price, etc...) and the links to your items still do work, which is why you'll still be able to get to the item even if the image isn't quite there yet.

Because the Galleries are complex and image-intensive applications, they are best viewed over high-speed internet connections with fast proxies. It does appear that some internet service providers have proxy servers that are slowing down the connection, which leads to a delay in loading the item images in the Gallery. If you are experiencing slow load times obtaining your Gallery's item images, this does not mean that all your buyers will too. For example, I have checked and see complete sets of item images in both coincoach's and ms24ktau's Galleries.

We are continuing to investigate what we can do to improve load times for those who are experiencing slow load times.

Please let us know if there is any additional information we can provide --

Thanks --

VD is offering a service to all internet users. If it can only accommodate broadband or high speed connection, it needs to let all the customers know up front. Do not wait and offer a service, then tell the customers they need a faster connection to fully use the service.
This is totally not acceptable by an internet service that people are paying for. If your service can not be utilized by WebTv or dial up services, please be up front and let all concerned know. It will prevent any problems in the future. Please do not embarass your selve or the inteligence of your customers.

Hello everyone,

I apologize - we did not mean to indicate that Galleries cannot be viewed over dialups or slower connections. Like everything else on the internet, things tend to work optimally when viewed over a faster connection.

We are getting reports of loading issues for some (but definitely not all) users, and we're working on characterizing the problem to determine the root cause. The problem could be caused by general internet connectivity, some sort of system setup/software application, etc.

If you're having trouble viewing your Gallery/Gallery images, please let us know your ISP, connection speed, browser/version, OS, and any other software you might have running in the background.

Note that the Gallery data is actually very small compared to the data on the rest of the page. If the page is loading OK but the Gallery is not, there may be another issue.

Thanks,

Diana

NOW WHAT???? My gallery was all fixed....all my images were showing...now all of a sudden, there are only red curtains which click to see the image!!!!!

Your quote: "The swirling stars graphic is the graphic we display as we are loading your item images into Gallery. If there are no images for an item, or if the image is taking too long to load, the Gallery will display the "Click to see this item" Red Curtain graphic as a placeholder, rather than taking up more time and bandwidth trying to load the image. What does this mean when I had images before? My bandwidth hasn't changed. I use AOL 9.0 on dial up and sure didn't have this problem before!

Please explain as soon as possible. I don't want the gallery if all my pictures aren't right there.

Thanks in advance.
Sharon

Dear Sharon,

Please understand that for the majority of people viewing your Gallery, the images will load. For some reason, certain users' systems or connections are problematic, and we are looking into why this is as well as solutions that will help correct the problem.

Here is a screenshot of what your Gallery looks like to me on my cable connection, using IE and Windows 98.

Thank you for your patience.

Mine seem to working O.K. today.

BUT,
when browsing another seller's auctions, and noticing she had Vendio's gallery, marquee setting, all was well until I clicked on an image. When returning to her original listing page, her gallery had stopped. I clicked on the side scroll arrow, and it started up, but with a bunch of red-curtains, which zoomed O.K., but only displaying titles, no images! Then a few images, but not of the items I'd wanted to view of course!

I couldn't help wondering if this happened to viewers of my auctions too!
As a "browser", if I didn't know all the recent travails with this feature, and sympathize as a seller, at that point I'd have gone back to the other listings found in search, and not bothered waitng or trying to view her other auctions, and assumed there were failed images for that (red-curtain) listing.

Just my 2Cent's worth re: what other viewers may see with various connections etc. (Mines IE 6.0, Windows '98, dial-up)

We're rural, no cable available yet, and high-speed dial-up is only inching its way here slowly.
