Today I had no problem at all with my pictures showing up in the galley- they all loaded just fine and the 'curtains' are not appearing today! hurrah! Although I haven't counted them, I am hoping that they are all there.
I do have to say, the pictures in my new gallery are extremely crisp and much clearer than in the ebay store gallery box (just below my Vendio gallery in my auctions); and for that matter, way crisper/clearer/detailed than the ebay gallery pix appears on the outside of my auctions. They look just awesome! Due to what I sell, sometimes small thumbnails pix just don't appear well, however that is not the case with the new Gallery pix. Why would that be, as all of these images are stored/pulled from Vendio? I just checked one particular item- it was in my ebay gallery and vendio gallery, both right together in from of me: the vendio gallery picture looked 100% better than the ebay gallery picture! (yet both pictures are the exact same one...)
I'm not a very tech-wise person, but are the images displayed differently, in terms of resolution? is ebay reducing the image size for the gallery? I just can't think of why they would both look different in terms of quality when they are both pulled from the same stored image.
...and to that (I can't believe that I am saying this!) is there maybe a way to slightly reduce their resolution to make to load time better? I don't want people with dial-up to have long load-times or no gallery images. I don't know the number of people that this effects, but from the few complains here (from sellers) I can only assume that a larger-than-I-want population may have problems with load-time.

Hello sfnyartist - sorry for missing your post. The gallery is actually relatively small compared to the rest of the page (images are about 3kb apiece, I believe) so I don't think that image quality is what is holding up Gallery loading for some users. We're looking into the issue, but please be assured that the vast majority of your buyers will be able to view the Gallery without any problems.
Hate to bump such an old thread ... but this still appears to be a problem.
If I understand this problem/process correctly, supposedly this is a speed issue between the client browser and the Vendio servers? If so, I haven't heard any suggestions or comments about the Vendio servers being at fault.
I do most of my work from a home fiber connection with 15mb down and 2mb up, so I can't buy the connection speed issue if it is aimed at the customer.
ANYWAY. I'm getting the red curtains tonight, as is my father connecting from a total different part of the country. He's on a cable connection with seemingly no speed problems, and I'm on the fiber connection with no speed issues. Even odder, I'm only getting about half red curtain images and the other half show no image at all. Clearing my browser cache has no effect.
Any updates or known resolutions to this issue? Thanks in advance...
The above image is what is loading on my own end, so it cant be a speed issue since im currently on a much slower connection than the one you mention connecting through.
Are you still seeing only curtains on your items at this time?
We will keep an eye out for any other reports of such an issue. As of late we havent really heard from anyone running into a problem where the curtains are showing in place of images unless their images simply couldnt be imported properly (meaning they never show actual images.)
