lovepotions,
No selling, no buying, no BB twinkie man, no stocks, no activity whatsoever on my account.
No reason for my information to remain in the database for any reason other than for the numbers.
I read something very interesting in the SEC amended filing yesterday. It seems speedyclicks automatically will register participants to other sites. It is up to the user who supplied their information to speedyclicks to opt out. I wonder how many that signed up at speedyclicks read the fine print? AND, how many know they are members of BB?

Yeah know what, a friend of mine told me that even chat board user names (Anon I.D.'s) were used as member names on Biddybay, and I also wonder how many other boards, or even members here, real selling names or user names were added over there, and nobody ever looked or knows.

That little surgery you had seems to have put you in a right little spunky mood!! I am glad to know you are feeling much better. I am just a little peon who likes to read the posts and have a laugh once in a while.

powerseller I don't hink it had a thing to do with the surgery but rather the having had "enough of being **** on one two many times".

Let's try to keep this thread from becoming personal.
The little surgery as you term it was not little at all and it has nothing at all to do with my attitude. My attitude stems from the threats, innuendos and nasty comments from users and leaders of the site. I'm just tired of it. This would have happened if I had not had my surgery. As a matter of fact, my surgery just delayed it a week or so. I was ready to post my decision the day I had the heart attack.
Unfortunately, the ICU in my hospital has no Internet connection, as seems to be the case in other member's hospital because they just keep on bidding and listing, yet they can't pay their bills or ship their items because they're soooooooo sick in the hospital .
BOHICA is a common indian term used in describing why I feel the way I do.
posted on May 16, 2001 01:41:32 PM new
I know. I had a lady tell me she couldn't pay cause she had been in the hospital, which is why she couldn't email me. She had put 34 bids in while she was "in the hospital".
Yes we must stay on topic and BTW excellent thread toollady

I think it's time you are outted mtnmama.
You claimed these are your only id's on page 3:
mtnmama1 on BidBay
mtnmama1 on ebay
mtnmama on tbay
mtnmama on AW
mtnmama on Bidville
mtnmama1 on Amazon
mtnmama1 on OTWA message boards
mtnmama on my webpage
I think you forgot to add hgtvjunkie.
You slipped up by calling your significant other DH in posts under both ID's.
And for the proof:
Here are the posts links and copy and paste:
As mtnmama: http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=33&id=8504&thread=8482
The post is on the first page towards the bottom of the page about 15 up
"That's very sad. It just so happens, that isn't even me or my dh"
As hgtvjunkie: http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=33&id=7851&thread=7847
The post is the third one from the top.
"OUCH! I try to forget those one's Nanabees! When I first moved to DH's place he "cleaned" out a barn"
This is not the only place I have seen you refer to him as DH so it quickly caught my eye.

AG2,
OMG! HGTVJunkie is someone named D. Her husband is called Bubba! It's a joke between us. LOL! Nanabee's is not me at all. Her name is Wendy, I believe and she has her own website. I have no idea where these two even live, let alone anything personal about them. I live in Georgia, Blue Ridge to be exact and I have an individual IP number. If you would care to know my ISP, you have it from an email sent to you. It's a private ISP from a local telephone company. I can provide you with their telephone number if you'd like to call and verify who I am.
dh is an acceptable way of referring to dear hubby, darling hubby, dastardly hubby or darn hubby on chat boards all over the Internet. You are not savvy enough to know this, I understand that.
I'm so sorry, you are soooooooo wrong! I'm sure Auction Watch can prove that by looking at the IP's.
Next time you accuse, be sure you have your facts straight. You are not to come in here and try to oust me, understand? If not, please adhere to the community guidelines and let's respect others. Just like we learned in Kindergarten.

correct me if i'm wrong but didn't you have more than 1 username on Bidbay. mntmama and mntmama1. why did you need 2 ?

Once in a while I come to see what's happening. Who says what and who knows the truth and this and that, LOL.
Info can be removed from BidBay by asking BidBay to remove it. I just did it the other day
There are those who do not believe what others do, those who are minilawyers, and those that waste alot of time. Just thought I'd come over and see what was happening.
For anyone who can see through most of the baloney about BidBay posted here, IMHO its sour grapes.
Love to all - the Cheerio lovers, the cynics, the newbies, those who doubt EVERYTHING.
SO, slander me. G'head. Shoot. Might as well go after me, I'm one of those who really enjoys BidBay, there my name is eboom.
Have a great night. See you again in about 6 months

My Bidbay user ID is mtnmama1 or MtnMama1, never mtnmama. That's on BidVILLE.
AG2, apologies not accepted this time around buddy boy. And I am not Nanabee's. Can't wait til she sees this one! LOL! Boy are you in for it.
AllyKat to share them? I'll tell you myself since you think you're so smart. I'm not ashamed and have nothing to hide. Everything is out in the open.
I had a bet going with a user that I could post on BidBay without BidBay knowing who I was. They didn't even guess or challenge it 'til I told George in a phone conversation. I registered there under Evil_Queen, which was a name I obtained from a website I visited and liked it. He never said a word to me about it. I deregistered the name. And my dear smart boy that is the only one I ever used on there aside from mtnmama1 and that was many months ago.
RIDDLE:
Why do BidBay cheerleaders love to bring up the past?

A requirement of the AuctionWatch CGs is that you treat every other member with respect and consideration. Your posts speculating about mtnmama's ID are outside the bounds of basic etiquette. Please remember to address the topic, not the individual. To continue to post in this manner may place your posting privileges in jeopardy.
Everyone,
This thread has become entirely too personal. If the personal comments continue, this thread will be locked.
Edited to add:
mtnmama,
The requirement to discuss the topic, not the individual, applies to everyone. Please stop discussing individuals. To continue to do so will place your posting privileges in jeopardy.

mtnmama...apparently you did not read my post very carefully. show me where I said you were nanabees.
I know nanabees and have had email contact with her.
Now regarding multiple ID's I'm not referring to at BidBay. I'm referring to AW.
And toollady.
As far as information goes I do not know what the laws are regarding this.
But information is a commodity now that just about anyone and everyone buys and sells.
That is where a lot of that junk email you recieve in your post office box comes from.
You sign up for a credit card, that information is bought and sold. Open up an account at your bank that information is sold. Subscribe to a magazine...same thing once again.
I know there are laws protecting minors on the internet from such things, but I honestly do not know how that affects adults who sign up on these sites on their own accord.
Now Pat... have you even attempted to respond to my email to you yet?

Thank you Pat. It's very important this thread remains open as several of us are awaiting answers about our personal information.
I hope you don't let the few BidBay people ruin this thread. It would be nice if they deleted their flame posts.

AuctionGallery2, if you ask AW, they will tell you I have had exactly one ID on here. If you're referring to the YadaYadaBlahBlah one that was my cousin who no longer lives with me. If you click on my user ID you can see how long I've been posting with it. Feel free to ask Mark Dodd about it if you care to. He and I had a talk about it not too long ago.

A little longer than you I think.
Now if you're trying to get this thread closed down keep it up. You were just warned about getting personal. Care to continue?
Normally, any moderation issue should be addressed via email. However, in this case, I'll provide an answer here so everyone is on the same page.
If this thread is locked (and that becomes more likely with every post), you may start another with the same topic, but if the comments again become personal I will have no choice but to lock that thread as well.

Well I slip away for a glass of VINO and a siesta and look what I miss. Regarding the term DH, I always noted those two users both used that to describe their husbands. Clearly hgtvjunkie stated at the bottom of her post who she was formerly.
Now back on topic: Yes there is a lot of junk mail that we get in the mail as a result of signing up for stuff BUT there is also a place we can write to and have our names taken off that junk mail list. As with when any telemarketer calls, you just tell them to put you on their "do not call list" and they have to by law. Thereafter if they contact you again, they are in violation of law and are subject to a rather large fine. It works for me as telemarketers drive us nuts!
There SHOULD be, if there isn't, a procedure wherein one can request that their personal information be removed from auction sites. To me there is no difference.

I would be more than happy to send you the email I sent to Mark at AW as recommended by the moderator here, probably 6 months ago when I was last here. To date I still have not received a response.
The game is played both ways. Difference is, bashing AW isn't quite the game at BidBay that bashing BidBay is here.
They DO remove information, if you ask like a human being instead of screaming like an animal, which I am NOT directing toward you, but toward some, who are simply crass.
And no, spare me lawyers letters. Some here feel they have an honorary JD, that is also not a game I play. I would recommend you email BidBay again. Maybe they will ignore you again, as AW ignored me. Just desserts.

mtnmama I could care less about your supposed internet/computer/online auction experience.
I am not attempting to get this shut down but I have seen the personal and snide remarks go both ways.
As far as computer experience for me that began way back in the early 80's. I was even on BB's (bulletin boards) back then with my atari 800 xl meeting friends and swapping software. I even joined AOL back in the days when the software was still version 1 with a 1200 baud modem.
Now once again regarding the topic.
I haven't seen proof from either side of this argument that BidBay can't keep the information or can.
