I went in and listed a book this morning using the "I have one to sell" link. It is now showing up in the Marketplace, but it shows my seller rating as "I'm New" when I'm not new! The good news is my listing is the only one showing when before there were several others of this title.
I've searched for a few of my old listings and they are still gone. If this problem isn't fixed by tomorrow, I'm just gonna go ahead and re-list. Better to oversell than not sell at all!

Robert, the number is 1-800-201-7575. Good Luck. If you feel up to it, let us know what you find out. Thanks!

Jake, We may all have to relist! It took me a week and a half to list my books and I am hoping that the site is back up tomorrow and our listings show. Right now it isn't looking too good! :>(

I have not had any trouble accessing the Amazon discussion boards all day today. Half.com seems to be down, though.
Robert, I was in Software QA also before doing this full-time.

Ha! What a joke. I go to try to look at the discussion board mentioned above, and it seems that THAT is now down too. Maybe their theory is that a million monkeys on a million computers will eventually churn out the Great American E-Commerce site? Nothing seems to work right lately.

I would love to do this full time. If Amazon would stop changing things all the time I might feel a little more secure. I also have been trying to find a more places to buy inventory. Without giving your sources can you give me some suggestions? Right now I sell Music, books and Movies. I am patial to smaller items as my storage space is limited.

It seems some of my Marketplace listings are showing up, some aren't. Anyone heard anything official from Amazon?

I don't get it either. Amazon seems intent on self-destructing. I hope they pull it together but I'm really losing hope.

Robert, I can't advise you one way or another about doing this full time. I sell books full time on several different sites, but I have a retirement income to fall back on and my husband has a good job. Things can go terribly wrong in this business fast.
For inventory I periodically run and ad in the paper that I buy books. It is always worth the cost of the ad and I have books to list for weeks afterwards.
Borgt, I haven't heard a word from Amazon. Some of my books are showing up also. I'm in the process of trying to figure out the best way to go through each title to see if it's listed. :>( I hate Amazon today!
Canvid, I agree with you. Amazon has been a constant hassle for me. BUT I do sell books there so for now I'm trying to hang in there. I find it more difficult every week to keep a positive attitude.

As of this morning all of my listings were still classified erroneously as Z-shop listings instead of Marketplace.
I hope I don't have to reinput all the books but right now my hope is fading slowly but surely.
Will give it until tomorrow morning before I decide what to do.
Those who have some listings showing in Marketplace are the lucky ones!

A few of my listings are now showing up as Marketplace listings.

I notice tremendous stupidity in many e-com sites lately, not just the big A.
The inmates have taken over, etc..
W/o exception lately whenever they "make it better" it gets worse, hard to believe, hard to believe, & very frustrating for us oldsters raised with discilpine & respect.

Hi All,
I was just perusing Amazon's info.
I think that it may help to send queries and questions to Amazon's investor relations. After all, we all invest in one way or another in Amazon.
