Well hi there Twinsoft! Come on in, sit in that comfy chair over there. Would you like a drink? We usually have milk on hand for Rocker and Netta makes a pretty mean fruit punch!

As far as I know, I haven't talked to anyone yet though. The nurse at my plant called late today and left me a message. I kind of wonder why she's calling though, she shouldn't be (I think). So maybe I'll know more tomorrow...

Not really. The main problem would be space. I'm doing it in my garage as you know, and with our stuff plus Mom's stuff, there's just not a lot of room. Sources are another problem. I have a few, but I don't know how much I can get out of them. Admittedly I don't go very often, haven't had the funds to. Besides, I would lose my health care coverage and it's about the best in town! I'm not sure that's very wise after the year I've had...

I'd love to! But I'd have to work for at least 2 months full time and save every penny just to get there!
Do you know anything about how to get rid of swollen feet?? My feet and ankles swelled up really bad when the a/c went out and they still haven't gone down. I look like I have pillows for feet! I just took my rings off too because they were bothering me.

I don't know much about cures for these kinds of things. Are they hurting as well? Maybe put them in a bucket of icy water? I'm no expert so don't be surprised if it doesn't help

Yes they hurt something terrible. I think I need to call the doctor tomorrow and see what he says. Where on earth is Netta?

I would definitly go see my doctor M-S because that is not a good thing to stay swollen like that. Mine is always asking me if I have had that problem even if I am OK when I see him. It is a real clear indicator of diabetes or circulatory problems. Worth looking into why it is there. Sometimes your meds can do it to ya.

Don't know where Netta is...
How swollen are they exactly (say twice their normal size - more?)

Hi Gravid, how've you been? Please don't say diabetes!! My mom has type 2 and I really don't want to inherit that from her.

Oh it's hard to say Pharlap, maybe 1 1/2 times? It figures, I just won 2 pairs of shoes on eBay I'm waiting for to show up. I guess it will be awhile before I can try them on properly. Another thing I ran across yesterday in trying to find some info was maybe it's the drugs I've been on so long.

Hi Kiddies I am just popping in to say a quick hello, and I find the room empty. Sorry I didn't get in last night, but as I told you it can get a bit hectic for me at this time of year and I am getting on you know and it kind of knocks me around. So in other words I need all the beauty sleep I can get. LOL
Mouse I hope the swelling of your feet is better, I know how bad that can get, because I do not have any immune system I tend to have problems from time to time and one of the things is that when it is really hot my feet swell up and it can be extremely painful. Try soaking them in cold water or when you are sitting down or lying down, elevate your feet and put ice packs under them. I know it my be a bit uncomfortable but believe me it works.
Sorry I missed you Pharlap, I guess I will catch up with you later.
Bob who wrestles crocodiles' with his bare hands (from another thread), how are you doing? You and your family have been in my thoughts.
Well if anyone is around let me know.
Oh I very nearly forgot, Bob, did you see that thing on the sports news tonight about the new golf ball invention. It is a golf ball shaped like an egg, do you think it could take off? Well it had to be a Kiwi who came up with something odd hey. LOL

Hi Netta! Sorry I missed you, I was pretty busy most of the night and just never got over here. My feet are slowly going back down. I actually got to see one of my veins last night! But, for Pete's sake, I swear everytime I turn around something else on me falls apart! I broke a tooth last night. Not only do I not have insurance right now, even if I did I wouldn't be able to come up with my co-pay. My appeal better get approved soon so I get my insurance back and my back pay!
Bob, we miss you dear. Please let us know how you and your family are doing.
Pharlap, are you back to the late shift??
And where's Zilvy been hiding out?

I'm here! But only if you promise not to bite at all!
Back on day shifts at work so will be able to pop in a bit more frequently
Today also marked my very first Paypal problem. I set up those 'smart logo' thingies in my last lot of auctions. They change themselves to something like 'click here to pay for this auction' or something like that when the auction is over. What I didn't realise (and it's probably my fault) is that you have to accept or deny payments this way! Unfortunately I can't as I'm not a verified user Nevermind that they have my credit card and bank account # on file... (sigh)

Hi Pharlap! Don't worry, I won't bite you, I like you! LOL
Now as far as PayPal goes, I insert my own logos. I don't like too many automated things, I like to stay in control. But why on earth are you not considered verified if they have both your card and bank account?!? They must do it differently for int'l customers...

To be verified you need to have a US bank account #. Hmmmm..... a little tricky that one
So, how was your day? Did you find out what that mysterious message from a couple of days ago was all about?

So anyone not in the US will never be "verified" unless they get a US account?? Well how stupid! And I use PayPal a lot.
Ya know, I never did find out yet. I woke up too late to call yesterday. I called today and she was in a meeting and never called back. So I'm still on somewhat dull pins and needles.
The 2 things that worry me the most are, 1) the lack of money of course and 2) not having health insurance right now. Especially since I broke that tooth yesterday. And wouldn't you know, I already had a dentist appointment for tomorrow, but I cancelled it because I don't want to end up paying out of pocket for it.

You broke a tooth? OMG!!! That must be painful. Please tell me that it wasn't one of your front ones that everyone sees when you smile?
I'm assuming that Paypal will bring in international verification at some point (fingers crossed) but who knows when...

Nah, it's one of my molars. It's been cracked for a couple of years now, I just haven't had the money to get it fixed. I guess I can't put it off any longer now. The funny (?) part about it was about 5 minutes before it broke it was bothering me. I thought that was odd because it hadn't bothered me for some time. Of course I've been somewhat babying it too. I guess I forgot to at the wrong time.
I've had good, strong teeth all my life until about 25 or so. Then out of the blue I had a cracked tooth and the toothache to go with it (the molar directly below the one that broke yesterday). So off I went to the dentist and had a crown put on. It was the worst experience of my life! They tried five times to get the darn thing to fit right, and it still doesn't. I found out later this particular dental group doesn't have the best reputation in town. (I'd gone from my kiddie dentist to getting my teeth cleaned at my college, where they have a dental hygenist program, so it was cheap and I had no problems. That's why I didn't have a regular dentist.)
Then before they were done with that one, another dentist found that the same molar on the other side of my mouth had a problem and sent me off for a root canal. Right after that is when we started with money problems, so that crown got put off for over a year (I know, bad girl! ) That crown wasn't done yet and gosh darn it, another crack popped up! Geez Louise!! I was barely able to scrape up enough for crown #2 so that tooth could be saved. Then all this crap with my back started, so the teeth got put on the back burner. Both the money and the worry if you know what I mean.
Mom is convinced I have some weird chemistry going on to cause all these weird problems. I'm beginning to think she may be right. I just wish I would quit stinkin' falling apart!
