I definitely think you should neg that guy. It's his responsibility to make sure his auctions are correct. Just remember what everyone says, keep it factual and unemotional. I know, it's hard.

Mouse slayer - I am very glad to hear you are losing the swelling. Thought about you a number of times off line.
Nettak - Have you every mixed vegamite with ground meat for meatballs etc?
When I make meatballs I put in spices - crushed garlic - wheat germ - liquid smoke - parsley - and usually some steak sauce or salad dressing. Sometimes in hot sauce or sweet and sour.
When we got married the wife said she did not like meatballs. Her Mom made them with no seasoning. Little suckers were dead flat yuck.

Thanks Gravid, I'm glad too! Speaking of Mom's cooking...My mom used to cook pretty good. Then about 10 years ago I swear she lost her taste buds! She made her chili one night while I was still living at home. It was absolutely awful. Dad and I kept looking at each other like, wha the heck did she do to it?? She finally said something to the effect of, it's awful isn't it? We agreed and asked what she did different (she has a habit of experimenting). She said she made it the same way she always did. Apparently not! Now hubby is ever so grateful when I do the cooking, LOL.

No I do not add any vegemite to my rissoles or meatballs. I usually make mine up with mixed spices, egg to bind, a combination of BBQ Steak sauce and tomato sauce, or sometimes I use a terriaki(sp?) sauce, it all depends on the flavour I am wanting. I also put chopped up onion and grated carrot in the mix as well, and sometimes depending on my mood and who I am feeding, I will put a tin of peas and corn into the mix and it is just mouth watering. If it is too cold or wet to cook on the BBQ, I put the mixture into patty cake pans and cook in the oven. Just make sure that you do not over cook, so that they stick to the pan, and any extra fat that is in the mince just make sure that you drain them on paper towels or something.

Nettak - being the expert on china maybe you could let me know about something I have.
I bought a box lot at auction about a month ago with lots of odds and ends but didn't realise until I got home that there was a complete teaset (setting for 6) amongst it all (with sugar bowl & creamer).
It's kinda cute so I think I'll keep it for myself (would be too hard to package up and ship anyway). I don't think it's worth much as it's not a brand I've heard of.
The brand is "Gladstone". Know anything about that make?

Patty cake pans? I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that would our cookie sheets? Netta, are they rectangular and relatively flat? (The dimensions of mine are like 10" x 15" x 1" )
*Now where did that stray smiley come from??

No Mouse not a flat sheet, maybe you call them little cakes. You know the sort kids' have at parties, they are small cakes in little paper wrappers. We call them patty cakes.
Pharlap, I am not sure of the brand, but maybe the some of the china books will have something in them. If I get a chance I will have a look.
Does it have all the little cake or bread and butter plates as well, if it has no chips or cracks in any of it you could have a nice little set. Depending on who is about, some sets of 6 can go fairly high price wise. What does the pattern look like, is it old looking or fairly new?

Yes it has all the cake plates as well and no chips/cracks.
From the pattern I'm guessing possibly 50's? Couldn't be sure though. There is an auction on Ebay with the same pattern but I know I can't list that here - moderator will smack!
I'll e-mail you the link of this seller's auction so you can see the pattern...

Actually our muffin pans are larger than the patty pans, but they are the same sort of thing.
Pharlap email me with the link, so I can have a look. Do you still have my email??

Well, at home a muffin pan is a cupcake pan. But in the store, a muffin is usually larger. So yes, that's probably right. Do you put frosting on a patty cake? It's usually a kids treat, like for a birthday party, and sweeter than a muffin.

Well I just got an email from the seller I got the first set off. I left her a neutral feedback and she should be happy I left it at that and did not neg her. She is trying to tell me that I am in the wrong for leaving bad feedback to her. Let me tell you how the set arrived. It was for 6 cups and saucers, but a very pretty set. I paid $11.90 for postage and the cost for postage was actually only just over $4.00, now they did say that they charge a packing fee, but at $7.90 I expected it to be packed with extra care. When I got the parcel it had plenty of newpaper in it, but only a very small amount of bubblewrap, and I have to say that it was extremely thin bubblewrap at that. Well I am steaming and I am going to reply to this woman, as soon as I cool down a little bit. She is in the wrong and now she says that I did not ask her for a credit, well she should have offered one when I sent her the pictures of the broken cups. All she said was that she was sitting there very disappointed with Australia Post, it had to be all there fault. Now we all know that the postal services sometimes leave a lot to be desired but how can you blame sloppy packing on them.
Pharlap I know why that set does not have a bid on it, although it starts at $1.00 they have a reserve on it and it is only for a cup and saucer, not a full set. Most people would just overlook that type of auction because you just know they want the earth for that cup and saucer. I would not even want to guess how much you may get for it if you put it up on auction. But if you were thinking of doing so, I would leave it until later in the year, just before Christmas is a much better time I think.

Well if that seller is selling china and doesn't know how to use bubblewrap she's in the wrong business! Everyone knows that when packing breakables you need to realise that you have no idea how roughly the postal workers may treat the package along the way. You need to pack to withstand anything!

yes Mouse a cupcake is the same as a patty cake, and we put spinkles on them as well as smarties. LOL Chocolate ones. Yum.
I forgot to tell you about the box that my tea set arrived in, it was a recycled rice cracker box, and now she is telling me how much I paid for each item and it is not fair that I have responded to her response to me. You see I left her feedback as I said, and she came in and responded, but I knew she would do that, so I was waiting and I went in again after her and left a little extra, nothing nasty, just the plain simple truth and she doesn't like it one little bit.
Geez I could have easily left her a neg., but I didn't, I have some compassion. But I truly think that her packing is not good enough. When I pack china, I use miles of bubblewrap just to make sure that it is protected from damage. Now I realise that breakages can happen regardless but this was careless of her and she should be told, at least she may learn for the next time. I will never buy from her again, no matter how nice something is.

Goodnight Pharlap.
Mouse the only thing she would say if I sent her that link is that it was all the fault of the post office. I am in the middle of writting her email in reply to the one she just sent me. This is getting to be pathetic and I am bringing it to a close.
Be back in a minute.

Mouse have you disappeared on me? I just emailed that seller and I just know she is going to reply with some smart comments. Time to join the grown up world and learn to take a little bit of advice. As I told her I could have left her worse feedback than I did and she should learn from it and move on.

Okay I am back for a short while, I got your email and I sent you another one.
I hope that is the last I hear from that seller, talk about narky, she will not accept that she may be in the wrong on this one. Like maybe just maybe a bit of newpaper and a tiny bit of very thin bubblewrap are not enough to protect something in the postal service. Anyway as far as I am concerned it is over and done with, and I am left with a bad taste and a set that is incomplete. I am not sure what I will do with it yet. Might have to give it to one of my sisters' or resell what is left of it maybe. I am not sure.
