Bob - I dragged the Engineers out of bed and they are working on the Control Panel problem as I write. When (if) they clue me in, I'll post back in the Auction Manager Forum with an update.

I'll be trying though!

It's a bit like a dopey seller in New York who wanted to charge me $450.00 USD to ship a painting over.
I worked it out on USPS website at $75.00 top whack.
I told her where to shove it. I left the corner with the artists signature sticking out so she's probably got a very collectible backside by now if she took my advice!

Pharlap I sent her my reply to her scathing email about me leaving her a neutral, (she deserved a neg), and because I did not want it to drag on forever, and believe me I think she would continue emailing me forever. I blocked her emails. I have never done that before, but it made me feel a bit safer from the mad woman. You know how sometimes you can get a bad feeling about someone, well I had that feeling and I was not prepared to be harrassed by her forever. It is finished now as far as I am concerned.
The guy who would not follow through with the sale is still the same, I doubt I will hear from him again. I will not bid on anything more of his either. Safeharbor agreed that he should honour the bid, but that is as far as it goes, he really can still do whatever he wishes. Neg for him.

Well that will be two votes for the Casino, I am just a gambler at heart. Only thing is I only know the slot machines and that big money wheel thing. LOL I have not been to the Casino for ages.
Ummmm Bob is there money involved in your prize if you win?? We could all need it before the night is out. LOL

It's too bad I can't come join you guys.
Thanks for dragging those engineers out of bed Michelle! I saw it too, but I'm just trying to track stuff to buy. So it's probably a good thing it's not working, LOL!
*Nevermind

There is however an expenses paid trip to Portugal!

pharlap, I rarely make it as far as the food! I get sucked in by the flashing lights and the lure of the poker machine jackpots and stuff and never get much further!
And I like the big wheel thing too, Netta, but I have much better luck on the pokies
On the plus side, I rarely leave the casino with less money than I arrived with. (Sometimes it's only a buck or 2 more though...)
posted on May 28, 2001 03:30:20 AMBob I bet Michelle is jumping up and down saying "Me, Me!! Let me be caddie" Sounds like she needs a break away from that little darling.
Mouse I am so sorry that things are not good for you at present with you dad, but you know you should never give up hope. A few years ago my father had to have heart surgery and we were told he would have a very hard time with the surgery. In fact they had a kidney specialist team ready in the operating room to put him on a machine, because they thought his kidney would pack it in under the pressure. We actually thought we were going to lose him, because he was still recovering from a stroke and he had a lot of other problems stemming from the stroke. But the old bugger just sailed through the operation. He did go a bit troppo from all the drugs they pumped into him, but apart from that he was fine. So what I am trying to say is that even when things look at there worst, there is always hope for the sun to shine through.
Take it one day at a time, and let him know that you are there for him and that you love him. The doctor sounds good anyway, and that is a big thing in its self.
posted on May 28, 2001 03:35:34 AMMouse i don't think they left because of your post. Bob did say he had work to do, and I guess Pharlap has an early start tomorrow. Don't stress over it, and you did not chase me away.

No, I don't really think it was my post Netta. But, I should have taken it to email anyway...That's why I edited it out.

Don't feel bad Mouse, we all need to talk sometimes, and I know that everyone has been here to listen to me from time to time. That is what we do, we have all become friends and we support each other through bad times when we can.
Okay what have you been looking to buy, and how are your sales going? I have not had a look for ages. I remember you were playing around with a new auction page or something so I should go and have a look shouldn't I.
Today was a busy day for me, and it is unusual because Mondays are usually only busy on the phones, but we had a few pick ups as well and they are time consuming, especially when you are dealing with the elderly. LOL
posted on May 28, 2001 04:00:52 AM
Oh yes, I know how slow the elderly can be! Remember, I've been chauffering Mom around all week.
I check my favorites clothes sellers just about every day. I put a lot on my watch list, but buy little. I'd buy lots more if I had the money, LOL! My sales are doing pretty well. I do need to do some more measuring and writing up descriptions though. But it's just been so hot out in the garage. It's not too bad tonight, but I'm just not in the mood. I wanna play!
Please, go look at my auctions. I've tweaked them a bit more, tell me what you think.

Sorry Mouse I got side tracked and I haven't had a chance to go and look at your auctions. I will soon though.
I am going to have to say goodnight, because I have an early start tomorrow, and it is getting cold here, so I think a nice warm bed is the place for me. LOL Gotta stoke the fire first, but the wood is outside the sliding door and I don't want to go out and get it. I really only have to slide the door open and it is straight outside, but all that cold air upsets me.
Goodnight Mouse, I will let you know what I think about you auctions tomorrow.

My sympathy nettak - They have turned the boiler off for our building for the summer and it dropped back into the 50's so we have to keep the windowsas shut and turn a burner on the stove to take the chill off.
I have never gambled and always tried to get my Mom not to go to Los Vegas. It was a losing battle because she would sit and play high stakes poker and come home a few thousand buck up on the whole trip every time. Once she came home with $15,000 in winnings.
One time she was done playing and she and two friends were standing talking about where to go and her friend from work turned around and played a slot machine a fellow had just got up from and won $300,000 at one pull. She went back to the hotel and would not come back in the Casino before they flew home because she swore she was not going to lose half of it back to them. She was able to pay their mortgage off when she came home. Her hubby was floored.

I have been asked to send SMOOOOOOOCHES and a big hello to everyone, can you all guess by who. LOL Yes Rocker is alive and well, she is still busy doing the shows ect. but will be in as soon as possible.
Jan is loving the shows and she says they are going great, so let's all hope that they have continued success.
The new roomy moves in on the 20th June, so she is enjoying the peace and quiet for the time being.
Spaz if you are reading this, Jan says a special hello to you.

Sorry Gravid I did not mean to ignore you post. I am not really what you would call a gambler, but I could be if given the chance and the money. LOL
I do like to go to the casino, but since I only go about once every 2 years I really do not think I am in the high stakes game. I enjoy a little game or two or three on the pokies/slot machines, and the big money wheel, and like Pharlap said you have to have a game of 2 up or you would not be an Aussie. Actually I have only played 2 up once and I did win but only a couple of dollars. The last time I went to the casino I won $300 and cashed in my chips straight away, so that I would not blow it all, I could not imagine winning $15,000 like you mother, but mind you I could not imagine me sitting in on a poker game either. Hell I can't even play the playstation games with the kids' without nearly having a heart attack so could you imagine me at a poker game. haha That is just too funny to think about.

Hi Mouse I will pop in and out tonight, I am still working, and I am sick. I even felt so bad that I squeezed fresh lemon juice and drank it straight, and let me tell you that is enough to put anyone's teeth on edge.
Anyway I will be back in a little while. How is your Dad doing today??
Oh and did you see that Rocker said hello and big Smoooooooches to everyone. LOL She never changes.
