Zilvy,

I thought that you had gone to the prayer meeting !

What happened ... Have you lost your religion?

Alright Katy!! I know how you feel, but it's worth it. I quit Sept.14,'99...and have saved a fortune at a carton and a half a week. That was $60 in Mass., believe it or not!

Beware the insidious, creeping blubber effect, though. I am now in the throes of dieting...and am equally cranky. I've lost 5 1/2 lbs in 4 days. I think I'm starving to death...lol I hate dieting, and can't do it for long, so I have to crash or nothing.

Well, toke, you can send me some of those pounds. I quit in March, and can't afford to lose any more weight.

Forget that prayer stuff.

Don't worry, Roy, just let it flow.

For bold, just [b*] write here [/b*]

eliminate the * and you will have bold.

I'm heading off the weight game with exercise, Toke. Working out at the gym 5 days a week. That's where I am most mornings at 5:30. Besides, I gained weight this winter, and I made up my mind NO WAY was I going to gain anymore when I quit smoking, so....with the exercise and dieting, I've actually lost a few pounds. It's murder though, and I still want a cigarette on a daily basis. I keep asking my friend (who smokes)if she has an extra cigarette. Then she says "yes, want one?" And I say, "no, not right now, but maybe tomorrow". LOL! It's become a routine because I see her every day. I dunno....it's somehow COMFORTING to know I can get one if I need one. I haven't taken her up on it.

Helen-
Don't "forget" that prayer stuff. Use that prayer stuff.

Toke-
Certainly I would be appreciative if Roy let me use some sweats, but I've got my own.

Roy-
You would let me use some sweats, wouldn't you, buddy?

Katy...

That's exactly how I did it! The old "I'll have one tomorrow" routine. Saved me from desperation. But, I know just ONE drag will ruin me, so I don't. I smoked for 30 some years and am hooked down to my toes.

They're yours! You must be fretting off those pounds. All the stress just made me look for comfort. My husband could only give so much, so I turned to taters and gravy...heh.

*sigh* I'm afraid I'm like you, Toke. One puff would be the end of it. But I keep telling myself that I'll wait and see how I am tomorrow. If I told myself NEVER, I just wouldn't be able to handle it.

On the other hand, yesterday was my 17 year anniversary for quitting drinking. Giving up the cigarettes is harder than giving up the booze!
