Oh, that reminds of something I forgot to tell you guys! I went on another shopping trip to that store that's closing. I was amazed they were still there, but I spent $200 and got even more on this trip! That disability check couldn't have come at a better time. And get this, they'll be selling their clothes racks when they close too, for $10!! The on I have is a cheap on and if I put more than like 10 things on it, it falls over. And I paid more than $10 for it. I am so excited to be getting a good rack, now I just need to figure out where to put it...(It's a round one rather than a straight one that I have now, and you guys have seen my garage!

Well we are supposed to have the Monday off, but we will have to work, that is the drawback of working for yourself, you never get all the holidays that everyone else gets. But on the other side of the coin we do work our own hours and sometimes I can sneak out early. LOL Or I just let the message bank take the phone calls and I ring them back later. I actually do not do that very often, only usually if I have to go to the bank or something important.
Pharlap, I am glad for you that you decided to stay put as well, or you could be out there looking for a job as well.
Hey Jewellery is good, and sometimes you can get some real bargains, I know I have from time to time and made some nice profit on it as well.
Mouse that is great that you got some more bargains. This will give you more stock for your auctions.

Yep Netta, I'm excited! Plus, I think I'm going to take the plunge and get a good digital camera this week too. I've been researching them all week (I've been trying to keep busy, if you know what I mean) and have it pretty much narrowed down now. The funny part is Mom gave me a coupon for one I hadn't been considering. But the more I look at them, the more I keep going to that one. And it's a good price with the coupon.

Yep Pharlap I probably could use and extra pair of hand at times, but the trouble is I only need the help for a couple of months of the year. I actually have a few people who have offered there services, but I could not expect anyone else to do the work that I do, they would probably freak out at the thought of it. LOL I don't just do the inside office work and banking ect. I often load trailers and move bags around as well, you could never have any fancy long finger nails around here through winter especially. haha I tell you I am certainly not paid what I am worth. That is what I keep telling my husband.
Mouse when I got my second digital, I had a good look around, and one bit of advice that I was given was to go into the shop and have a good look at the camera, and take a picture of something small and something big, take a close up and a far away shot with the zoom. In other words try them before you buy them. I am really happy with my camera and it does all that I need it to. The first one I had I got for next to nothing, it was a Fun Flash 640 and when I got the new one I sold the Fun Flash and got more for it than I paid for it in the first place. Bargain. LOL

Thanks for that! I'm just feeling a bit bored where I am at the moment. Next week I'll be back on night shift so I know I'll be happier then. I just can't stand the 9-5 type of work day...

I have to tell you both about the baby play gym that I just got tonight for my baby nephew. I had to get some soft things to hang on it because the things that came with the set are too hard for a little baby just yet, anyway one to the toys that I got to go on it is a little soft toy phone and when you touch it, it plays different songs and then when you touch the 0 it rings and says hello, then it rings and says goodbye. You have to hear it because it is so funny that everytime I hear it I laugh. I love playing with these things. Just a big kid that is me. BTW he is only really little and only just over a month old but he will grow into these toys you know, but until then I will have to show him how to make the noise with them. LOL I get to baby sit again tomorrow. I just love to cuddle him.

Oh dear, I almost forgot another piece of big news. Mom has heard back from the insurance company about her truck, they're not paying!
It's along and confusing story, I'll try to keep it straight...Guy A owns the car and he gave the keys to Girl A and he doesn't see her for 2 months. Essentially, she stole the car. But the police wouldn't let Guy A file a stolen car report because he willingly gave her the keys.
Ok, Guy B and Girl B were the ones in the car when they hit Mom's truck. Guy B said they had just bought the car and it was his 'dream car'. He also said he swerved to avoid a cat. The officer told Guy B he thought he was lying. Oh boy was he ever!
Now we think Girl B is Girl A. The first names are the same, last name is different. Guy A has the car back in his posession and the insurance company is going after Guy B to pay for the damage on that car. They won't pay for the damage to Mom's truck because Guy B wasn't an authorized driver on the policy. But I guess the insurance company will be an advocate somewhat for Mom since they're going after Guy B anyway.
What great news to get after what happened last week eh? She's thinking it's time to get a lawyer. Oh, and one of the neighbors said it looked like Guy B was going to take off right after it happened, and then I came running out of the house. Now I have no doubt that's exactly what he was going to do.

What bad luck Mouse, but doesn't your mother have insurance on the truck? Why doesn't her insurance cover the cost or chase the guy for it?

Pharlap, I got it in Big W in the baby department. LOL they have some cool toys in there. You are right it would be the ideal thing for you to have at work, especially the type of work you do. LOL Very cool indeed.

Pharlap go and have a look in K Mart as well because sometimes they have some great little phone toys, they may not all be soft ones but some of them are just so cute.
I really do hope that it all works out with your mother's truck Mouse. It does not seem fair if she is not covered for this when it is not her fault and she was not even in the thing, it was just parked minding it's own business. If she does not have insurance you could always file a civil suite but that can be messy and take a long time, and then if he does not have the money to pay, you will be out of pocket even more. Sometimes it can be a no win situation all round.

I'm not sure how insurance over there works, but over here we have 2 main kinds. There's full coverage, what I have because I'm making payments and the bank requires it, which covers the car no matter if it gets hit or you hit someone else (as long as the one driving is on the policy). Then we have just liability coverage, which just covers you if you hit someone else (people with older cars usually just get this, much cheaper). Mom just had liability because he truck is almost 20 years old. So, she's not covered for what happened. Although, I just was thinking her insurance company may go after that guy anyway, hard to say. If she had full coverage, yes, her insurance company would go after him to get their money back.
To add insult to injury, the police put a tow tag on the truck the other day. She has to move or it the city will come tow it. Like she has the time or wants to worry about where the heck to put it right now!

Sounds similar to what we have over here. When I had older cars (owned outright) I just had third party, fire & theft coverage but car's I have had financed require comprehensive insurance.
I hope that your mum will be able to get somewhere with this...
Guys - I'll have to call it a night. Hoping to get more sleep than I did last night!

Sorry I got held up with the phone. It was a friend's little boy's birthday yesterday and I forgot to ring, and they are having a party on Sunday but I do not know if we will go or not yet.

Well Netta, I hate to say it, but my eyes are getting heavy finally. So I will say goodnight. It was nice to have a somewhat normal night for a change, we were just missing Bob! Goodnight dear.

Goodnight Mouse, yes it was nice to get in at the same time as you and Pharlap. I have not had a lot of time lately, but I will try and get back in tomorrow night. I can not promise that I will make it, but I will try to get in to post for a while at least.
Yes I am missing Bob as well, but I am sure that when he can he will be pop back in for a while. Gee Bob I hope the golf game is good. LOL

OK, I'll admit it I slept in this AM. This is Hubby's day off and we both enjoy the extra sleep. But, I do have a question, what have you folks done with Bob and Kazzane?
Mouse your buy sounds fantastic, good for you.{{{warmest hugs}}}
Hi Pharlap and Netta miss fooling around with all of you. Hope everyone is doing well. Maybe I will be able to get together with you all soon. I lost my email addys just recently as AOL wouldn't load and I still don't know how to back them up.
So, if you will all email me when you get a chance I'll start over. I am entering everyone in a "little black book" as well as on the computer this time. {{{{to all}}}}

Hi {{{{Zilvy}}}}, great to see you. It is Saturday morning over here and I am supposed to be working but am having a little play while I can. Now I can tell you where Kazanne is, she is playing in other places for now and has to only play while hubby is away. LOL He was getting just a tad upset that she was playing with new friends so much. He is a very nice guy, and he will get over it eventually, I will talk him round. LOL Our mate Bob seems to have disappeared into thin air, I think he is spending far too much time on that golf course. Oh well I guess he needs to get in as much practice as he can, so that he can come up here at the end of the year for the big game and he will get to meet me, Pharlap and maybe a special guest as well. LOL At least that is what I am hoping has happened to him. I will have to email him if he does not turn up soon, because I am getting worried about him as well. Maybe he is just spending extra time with his family, that would be nice.
I will email you shortly so that you have the addy again. I wondered what had happened to you, I got used to your emails and they disappeared on me. LOL I do not have as much time to come in as I used to but I will try and get back later if I can.

Hi guys', I got back in but I see no one else has yet. Oh well, if you are about let me know and I will pop back in. I am babysitting at present and having a look at ebay while he is asleep. This kid could be awake any old time now, but if my luck holds he should stay asleep for a while, he is not due for a feed for another couple of hours. I am just wondering if he knows how to tell the time and if he understands that he is really meant to sleep at night. LOL
Anyway, I will pop back in a little while if someone is here.
Just wanting to let you know that I won't be in the next couple of nights - late shift tomorrow and State of Origin tonight! (I'm pretty certain that Nettak won't be in tonight for the same reason )
Zilvy - will send you my e-mail address shortly...
Mouse - hope you're doing ok and your head isn't too sore from last night!
posted on June 10, 2001 02:17:28 AMO.K. O.K., I haven't been in much lately and I've just checked the bar. Doesn't anyone stock it up and take out the empties!!!!
What a few weeks it's been. I've been busier than a one armed fiddle player and it's catching up with me.
I bit off a lot more than I could chew a while ago and haven't stopped chewing since. The teeth are down to stumps so has anyone got a spare set they're not using?
The clearance job on the old retired dealer has finished thank goodness but the golf tournaments are really gathering pace. Had to hit the road at 4.30 this morning just to get to todays event and have only just got back home an hour ago.
Still playing well and that final is getting nearer. Keep your fingers crossed.
This week was the first time in months that I didn't have something up and running on eBay, so I managed to get some auctions up and running yesterday.
I have been keeping up with most of the trials and tribulations but just haven't had too much time to spend on the boards.
Mouse My special heartfelt hugs to you.
I may not be about much tonight as the eyes are already fuzzy, but from now on I should be able to drop in on a more regular basis.
Now, once I get this bar re-stocked and clean the old pizza slab out of the jukebox, it might be a good week to PARTAY!!!!!!
Bob, Downunder but never down.
