Well damn it Bob it's about time you showed your lovely mug around here again.
I was only operating on about 2 hours sleep today, because a certain little boy kept me awake all night......actually he was not being bad, but he had a tummy ache and he could not sleep so we could not sleep. I guess when you are so little it makes sense to keep everyone else awake with you. LOL
Okay we lost the second round of the State Of Origin, but wait for the decider, Queensland with thrash those pesky cockroaches.
I heard from Rocker today and she is terribly upset, her ex has stolen her kitty, and will not let Jan see her. Jan is so upset and I think we may need to send a lynch party out after ole Scorpio to teach her a lesson. What do you all reckon?? Maybe someone could bounce on her head.
Jan's new roomy moves in on the 23rd, so she still has the place to herself for a while yet, and this is why she is so distraught over her kitten being taken away. I think it is sad.
Thanks for all the drinks and the food Bob, you have outdone yourself this time my boy. LOL
Ooops.

Hi nettak, Nearly slept through the alarm!
I missed the match tonight but it's a shame Queensland didn't win.
The decider should be a beauty.

nettak, I won't be around for much longer tonight. I need some sleep!
Poor Jan! She really got more than she ever bargained for with Scorpio. The sooner she gets Scorpio out of her hair the better.

I am also going off to bed verrrrrrry soon, I only had a little cat nap on the couch this afternoon after baby had gone home to his mummy, so in my old age I find I need more than a couple of hours sleep. LOL
Yes I agree that Jan is better off without Scorpio, she has moved out but she is still causing problems. It is hard to beleive that this is a woman that has a very good job and is supposed to be a helping hand to others that need support and help. But all she seems to do for Jan is cause her heartache and strife.
Hey did you know it is Mouse's birthday in a few days, have we got enough stock in the bar fridge, and do you think we need to order more nibblies and things. Pharlap and I can look after the decorations, but we will leave the grog up to you. LOL

See everyone tommorow.

Hi gang! I probably won't be up much longer, I'm, uh, not feeling too well... (Ok, between no sleep, seeing the family I don't see but once every 5-10 years and then going out drinking, I'm wiped out and hung over just a little bit )
Report on Dad's memorial: Well, as usual, the Babcock clan showed up in force. My maternal grandfather had 5 brother's and 2 sisters and they turn up for wedding and funerals pretty regularly. But now they're getting up their in age, so fewer show up as time goes by. But they do come. Both of my mom's aunts came and one of them I haven't seen since I was a kid probably (meaning I didn't know who she was ). Two of Mom's cousin's also came. Again, I wasn't sure who they were. I was the flower girl in Judy's wedding and I didn't know who she was until she brought it up. I remember the dress I still, I was very proud of that dress. What a lovely memory to surface on such a day.
We had a table set up with Dad's memorabilia spread out on it. It was fun to learn new things, remember old things I'd forgotten and to share them with others. I did pull out a few select pictures to scan and share with my friends here. I will do that soon, I'm just too tired to do it tonight. I also took pictures of the table and will share when they get developed.
After everyone drifted off, Mom, DH, my Godmother and her daughter and I all went to dinner and shared a toast to Dad. Mom even had a real beer! She hasn't had one in I don't know how long. Then DH & I went over to a friend's house and had a small party with close friends. We drank, played games and laughed. It was the perfect ending to a long day and a rough week. (Of course I'm paying a little for it, but that's ok. )
I'm going to head out for now and get caught up on the last couple of days worth of emails and eBay stuff. Thanks Bob for your kind words and I'm happy to see you! Netta, tell Rocker I feel for her and to kick Scorpio's butt and take kitty home! Ok, I've made a lot of spelling mistakes already and who knows how many I've missed. If I decide to edit, it will later after I've had some sleep! See you all soon.

Hi guys' sorry I missed you Zilvy & Mouse I had some hiccups with the web page and I spent 40 minutes waiting for Technical Services to talk to me and then I got some young kid who did not know much more than I do, so I did not get very far and now I have given up. I will have to wait till next weekend for my brother in law to show me what to do. I am not sure why they have tech. support if the people on the other end of the phones don't have a clue either, I thought they were supposed to know what to do, that is why we call them after all. Or maybe it is just me, maybe I am just to thick to understand all this stuff.
Gosh I think I could do with a drink or two after that little effort. Then to top the night off, my oldest (who has been out all weekend) came home, trotted into the office while I was on the phone, and said "I am just going down the road Mum, I won't be long", and off he trots. Well that was almost 2 hours ago and he is still not home. Now you may be wondering why I am upset with him, well it is like this.......HE TOOK MY CAR!!!!! Grrrrrr when I see that kid he will wish he had gone the other way.

Hi Pharlap! Are you sure you really wanna know?? How are you today and even more important, is my package on the way yet? (Just kidding about the more important part! )

Oh what a bummer, I'm sorry to hear you're sick. I hate colds! I managed to get lucky last winter and didn't get one (knock on wood!) Maybe because I was secluded in my house during most of the winter? I thought for sure I'd get one with all the problems I was having too.
I'm not feeling so well myself today. I don't know if it's just exhaustion or the past couple of weeks catching up to me. I did manage to get some auctions listed though. I just couldn't bring myself to sit down and do any last week (no suprise eh?), but zipped right through a bunch this morning. I need to keep myself busy now I think. Plus I need to feel better for tomorrow. Dh & I have a friend in from out of town (like a couple thousand miles away) that we're going out to dinner with. I'm looking forward to it!

*warning, Mom mode* Make sure you take lots of vitamin C (like 2000 mg) while you're sick. And try eccinacea (sp?) to prevent from getting sick again. Several people i know swear by it! *end, Mom mode* LOL
Have you asked anyone about your new toys? I'd think you'd have gotten them by now!
posted on June 13, 2001 03:09:18 AM
Don't worry - a friend forced vitamin C powder down me already today. The type that you disolve in water and tastes really bitter - yuck!
I've asked about my 'toys' numerous times and it's always 'oh yes - I'll have to chase that up for you...' I've heard rumours that they want to have a presentation ceremony for all the winners (black tie no less!). I hope that's not true - just give me my prizes already!!!
Have you bought your wacky doo new digital camera yet?

My wacky doo digital?? LOL What the heck does wacky doo mean? And no, not yet. But I expect to get one this week. I'm still researching and have it narrowed down to 3 or 4.

Wacky doo = fantastic
Actually, I've been meaning to ask you something. There's an American girl where I work and she gets this great stuff when she goes home to visit. It's a range called 'Bath and Body Works' - have you heard of them?
She tried to leave her credit card # with them last time she was there so she can order things whenever she likes but they said no I steered her in the direction of Ebay and now she's in her glory
Is this place a chain of stores or perhaps just a one off shop in her area? (she's from NJ) I had a smell of her 'Plumera' body lotion and I'm in love! But I can't find any in this fragrance on Ebay. If there's one in your area could you possibly get a price for me (pretty please???)
