LOL, he'll be a happy camper! You are just to sweet to me, you know that? I am so glad I found you and that we've become friends. Oh, and I told hubby I'd share my Bix Bars with him this time.
Speaking of DVD's...Hubby got us a player for Christmas along with one DVD. Then he got a couple more over time. Recently he joined Columbia house to get even more. He said if he didn't, it would take forever to build up a collection! I just love it when he discussing such things with me first *note, dripping sarcasm*

Nope, they haven't arrived yet, but my mouth is watering more each day! The best part is they should arrive just in time for me to go back to work and they will be my mreakfast each day. I'll be right back, I need to reboot...

Ok, leeme see what I have here...
In this first one I marked a few things. The pink rectangle is the railroad tie that got broken and flipped over. The red circle is the cable box that got destroyed. And the light blue circle is the skid marks on our driveway.
This one is the passenger side, also marked. The pink circle is part of that railroad tie again and the red circle is the cable box.
Closer view of the driver's side.
What a mess!

Did someone buy it to fix it up or did the wreakers buy it.
Stupid question time... what's a cable box and what was the railway thingo doing near your house???

Someone bought it to fix it up. And LOL to your other questions! The railroad ties are part of the landscaping. We use the square wood parts a lot over here for borders and such. The cable box is for cable t.v., but neither us or the neightbor who shares the box have cable so it's no big deal. It's just whenever one of the 2 houses decide to get cable, they'll have to repair the box. Oh, and the part that doesn't show in the pictures is that one of the branches off the plant in the first pictures was broken and fell over. That's our neighbors plant.

Phew!!! I was starting to wonder which part of the car a cable box comes from! LOL!!! I knew I couldn't be that ignorant about the workings of a car!
We have a satelite dish on our roof for our 'cable' service. We call it 'Pay TV' and not cable over here...
Well, at least the car will get a new lease on life!

ROFL! You crack me up! Over here we have 2 types of pay t.v. We have cable (which came first and I think is still most popular) and satellite too. We have neither, I'm a cheapskate.

I love Pay TV! In Australia we only have four 'free to air' TV stations (three commercial and one government funded) so it's pretty much essential for me as I love watching late night TV after work to wind down.
If I watched late night TV on free to air I would be watching infomercials!

Yeah, we have a lot of those on late night too. I'll admit, late night tv here pretty much sucks, but I'm usually on here instead!

Hello everyone, how are you all? Pharlap is your cold any better, I am over mine, but every so often I get a bit of a sniffle when the chill factor hits me if I am outside for too long.
Mouse I have to admit your mothers car did not look too bad really, but I guess it is more mechanical damage, and probably under carrage damage as well that we can not see. You should have seen my son's car when he smashed it up. It was so bad to look at, I cried everytime I saw the thing at the start because I could see just how crushed it was and the thought was always there that he could have been killed. Not a very nice feeling at all.
So how is everybody, I see that Bobby Boy has disappeared again, hmmmmmm must be just too much woman for him to handle. LOL hahaha
We have had a few busy spurts work wise and I have just been too tired to be bothered coming in, sorry..... I will try and get back again in a few days, maybe over the weekend sometime, but I can not promise for the weekend even because I am babysitting and it depends on the little fella. You just never know if he is going to co-operate and be a good boy. LOL Good thing he is beautiful or we might not love him as much as we do.
Greg is still out looking for our splitter that was stolen, we have not heard one word from the police since we reported it missing. I did ring them one day to see what was happening and I was told that they would ring me back........well good thing I was not holding my breath waiting for that call because I would have turned a serious shade of blue by now. We actually have been given a lead and Greg is going to have a little look over the weekend. One part of me doesn't want him to find the thing, because I could end up with a husband in jail. If he does find it he will not wait for the police, we have given up on help from that quarter.....I am just worried that he will get hurt himself or he may hurt they guy that we think has the splitter. The whole thing is that we have to catch him with it, and he seems to be on the move all the time. By the time we get word about where he may be, he has moved to another spot. We do know he is sometimes in Gympie and Greg has family up there, so we have people out looking everywhere. Of course it may not even be the guy that everyone is assuming it to be, it could be someone else altogether and we may be heading in the wrong direction and the real thief could be a long way away never to be found.
I will see you all later, keep warm Bob & Pharlap and Mouse I hope your A/C is working for you.

Hi Netta, I'm glad you checked in!
You're right, it doesn't look so bad. But it used to be all straight! And yes, most of the big damage you can't see. The frame is bent and we're lucky the front part was still attached to the back part! I'm glad Mom wasn't in it, she's a lot more fragile than she used to be.
I wish you guys luck on finding the splitter and that Greg doesn't lose control when you do! Just keep reminding him he has a family and a business that needs him. Besides, even if you don't find it, it sounds as though things will be ok. Sometimes you just have to keep reminding those men.

Your talking about what part of the car the cable box was reminded me -
One of the fellows at work got a call from his wife. She said I was going to the mall and something fell off the car wth the most awful clatter and we went back and did not know what it was so the girl friend and I put it in the truck. He asked well is the car running OK? Not making any weird noised or anything? No she said Seems fine. Well he said I will look at it when I come home.
Next morning he did not want to tell us ....
Finally pried it out of him. It was a manhole cover.

Gravid, the cable box isn't part of the car. He pushed the truck over the cable box that was in the yard. I guess I wasn't too clear on that, sorry! But your story is a hoot! How on earth did she get a manhole cover stuck to the car??? I mean them things aren't light!
I'm in for the evening if anyone wants to come and visit.

Hi mouse - sorry I went to bed and missed you. I understood the box -- You are right those manhole covers are about 80 pounds.
The only thing we could figure is they ran over the edge and flipped it out of it's hole. It was just hilarious they did not know what it was....

Hello Mouse and Gravid, sorry I
missed you both earlier. It is late here
and I am still working, but I thought I
would take a break......well to be honest I
would not have to work now except that I went
out earlier when I should have been finishing
off my work.
What is a SUV Mouse?? I am thinking it is a
big car or something. I drive a rather big
machine myself, I have a Toyota Landcruiser
4WD, and it is bigger than a lot of cars, but
not unusual to see on our roads.
I will talk to you all later, when I can get
back. Have fun......

all of you are too tired, too busy or what?
I think this has to be the first time that a

Netta, I was kind of hoping you'd post a photo of a Cameillia (sp?) in the flower spot.
I know this is your busy time...but if you
get a chance they are my absolute favorite
flower.
Pharlap, must be working her little ole buns
off and we know BOB is golfing. Mouse is slaying meeses and me I'm going to bed around
1AM and actually SLEEPING...its a miracle.
Hope to see you all later.

Ok, this is getting ridiculous. I would like to have some sort of regular sleep schedule, days, nights, I don't care as long as I sleep at somewhat the same time everyday! It's now 6:30pm and I've been up since noon yesterday. Now let's see how good my math is...That would be 30.5 hours, I think? Maybe I need someone to start singing me lullabies at a prescribed hour or something. *sigh*
Nice of you to pop in Zilvy! I'm not sure what I'm off slaying, but methinks it's not meeses no more. LOL

Boy I hope you are not driving or anything after being that long without sleep. I can't go that long and function for anything.
Get your husband to take a CAMERA nettak.
Not a Canon either.
If he gets pictures of the guy using it or towing it that is plenty. Of course if the guy sees him take them he may need something for self defence if he stays in his vehicle and does not go to them. If they are silly enough to come up and mess with him or block him well - their bad again.

Hi Gravid, how are ya?? Oh don't worry, I couldn't drive even if I wanted to...the car has been gone all day. Besides, with the pain meds I'm on and no sleep, I wouldn't dream of it. That's a great idea about taking a camera, why didn't I think of it?
