"It's the stupid, fake, romantic-innuendo scenes......where everyone want to "make love"."

Why not - sounds good to me!!!

****************
Oprah,
I would think had something like that happened - it would have been plastered all over by her competition - they also would not have showed on air as her show is taped.

*****************
Dr. Phil -
AWESOME - AWESOME - AWESOME
For those that do not know him. He is on Tuesdays on Oprah and on at 9pm here. He is a therapist - family mostly. He has two books out and he is awesome. I am a former Dr. Laura fan until she went wacky and now we all love Dr. Phil.

Pick up a copy of Oprah's magazine and you will read about him.

I gotta admit, I don't know who a lot of these people are. And Oprah has a magazine?

It makes me wonder where I've been.

Since my memory is faulty concerning the time/date the episode took place and since I need to have backup to prove I wasn't imaging it, I should have kept my mouth shut about the whole thing. Maybe someday someone will pass through here and remember it themselves. I also remember it WAS commented on in the news, but cant prove that either since its been some time.

My apologies for not having backup before posting it for Oprah admirers.

While I am *NOT* a fan of Dr. Phil (not at ALL), I was sorry to hear about his sister-in-law. Some waste of skin threw a barrel of acid over an interstate guardrail and it landed on her car.

She lived (as did her boyfriend), but was burned badly and, I expect, in a horrible amount of pain.

Regarding Oprah...

A few years ago my niece appeared on Oprah when she was doing a segment on people who went to school w/now famous people (my niece went to high school w/Brad Pitt).

My sister accompanied her to the show.

She said it was NOT a pleasant experience.

Oprah's people were VERY dictatorial about how things were to be said & done by the audience & woe be the person who actually thought for themselves..if it disagreed w/how Oprah wanted the audience to react.

They were told either do it Oprah's way or they could leave.

So, yes, I firmly believe the story of the person being asked to leave..sounds very close to what my sister's group were told would happen if they didn't follow exact instructions.

"get up, get up put the body in motion" "wind it up baby"!!!!

Can't say much for the new style on the Eclipse (gas tank cap doesn't even have a cover and looks rivited on--uug-ly) but I can't hear that song without starting to dance!!! LOL

All the women from "The View"-Is this how women in general are perceived???? We sit around a table drinking coffee and make crude, rude remarks about everything and everyone???

I for one don't set at a table....I set in front of my computer.....

Psst jumpin - that's Cornelia Francis, soapie has-been, from the Australian version of the Weakest Link.

While she's annoying, she doesn't come close to topping my list. That spot's reserved for Steve Irwin.

Television? HAH!! Deteriorated to commercial hype and "reality" worthlessness (except TDC, the History and Learning channels). The TV screen is something to throw a brick through.

Now I love Wal-mart just as much as the next person but have you seen the commercial where the lady is shopping with her two small children and keeps shrieking "Wal-mart saved my life!" She's filling up her cart with hundreds of dollars of stuff and her kids are throwing toys in there and she's just smiling about it. Yeah, right!

The Pepsi commercial with Britany Spears and Bob Dole and the dog at the end, with Bob saying "Whoh Boy", Just reminds me of child porn and I could not believe Pepsi would use that for a commmercial.

Spears isnt a child. She is a teen idol, and I dont much care for her, but she beats the pepsi girl they used to have.

What about the commercial of the pizza guy being held by the "big guy", who is asking what the ingredients are and when answered, they torture him with stun guns (all in fun, of course). I think that one is extremely tacky.

One of *the* most irritating people on TV at the moment is Jeff Corwin. For those of you who don't get Animal Planet, he is a Steve Irwin wannabe.

Irwin might be said to have an excess of enthusiasm in his shows (he seems to be that way 24/7 about everything he's interested in). It is somewhat refreshing to see an adult showing such enthusiasm and the humor in his shows usually stems from that.

Corwin, on the other hand, is painful to watch. He mugs. He uses silly voices. He does pointless things that are *supposed* to be humorous. In one of the first shows I saw featuring him he even went so far as to play a hillybilly-like double of himself who was supposedly following him through a swamp. Oh, brother! One of the worst shows on TV...

hepburn and bunnicula:

You are both right I guess I should have said teen. I didn't realize she was 20. She has had a few birthdays since she became a teen idol. And porn was probably not the right word either.

Just watching Bob Dole drolling over her made me sick and probably doubly so when my 12 year old asked what does "whoa boy" mean.

I wouldn't have cared if it was someone closer to her age, But good grief Bob could be her grandfather. Just reminds me to much of Bill and Monica, etc. etc.. And I don't care what Bill and Monica did or what Bob is thinking, I just don't want to hear.
