Just before Christmas, I won a bid on a 21" monitor. The monitor was being shipped and billed by ubid.
ubid not only shipped the unit to an old address but also charged an old debit card. I never did receive the monitor, but was also charged an outrageous overdraft fee of 180.00 by my bank. (I have since changed banks). The mistake was purely ubid's but they would not own up to it. They did finally refund the price of the monitor and shipping but nothing about the 180.00. Somehow, their records showed my old address and billing info. If they had checked before billing and shipping, none of this would have happened. The next thing I am going to do is contact their insurance carrier and see about restitution. It should not cost me that much money just for the priviledge of doing business with ubid. I have truly found out how much their so called (customer service) is worth. By the way, I am now doing all of my business with ebay. We will just wait and see how good they are.
