Hi folks:
Notice a lot of posts here are people asking for support from auctionwatch.com.
I just want to clear the waters ... auctions.com is in no way affiliated with auctionwatch.com although we do sometimes buy advertising here.
As those who frequent this message area are really not capable of answering for auctionwatch.com, you should direct your inquiries to http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/list.html?num=36
Now if you are looking for a great online auction, fee free to use this link and stop by www.auctions.com.

THANK YOU!!!
It probably won't help, but you get an A+++++ for the effort!

Hi Majik:
It takes most folks hearing something four, five, six ... even ten or 20 times to learn it.
Just think about it, how many times did you recite the "a,b,c's" before lmnop actually became real letters and not eleminopea
We just keep this on the top a little while and then repeat the trick of stacking them and the folks will get the idea.
Of course you know what bothers me is all these complaints about the software not working. Now I'm not going to say we haven't had our moments but we've gone from at absoulte best a may"B" to a solid "A" (not A+ mind you) on that score in the last three months.
BTW: How are things going with you, as well.

I know you are right about the repetition, it is just annoying to have to keep doing it. And AC seens to be running fine for me lately, I have had no ASP errors in a long time.
Things are doing good for me. I moved a month ago and still have some chaos to get under control. Things have been slow auction wise, in part because I have been lax in the effort department. I am working towards getting a business license and becoming a part-time small business. I just have to get some accounting questions answered before I file the paperwork. Plus I keep looking in my storage with despair because there is way too much stuff in there to sell! Just thinking about all the scanning and typing I have to do makes me tired.....
Have you recovered from the storms, by the way?

Tanya:
Thanks for the update on your business plans. I have confidence you'll do well when you get going.
I know what you mean about time and effort. I suspect that if you're scanning things, you're having to take regular pictures first?
I know it might be an expense, but considering the cost of film and the "time" ... the $200-250 it would cost to get a good for auctions digital camera could be a big time and money saver in the long run. If you want to know more about that, start a thread.
As far as my recovery from the storm ... I've still got the hole in my roof although I've got a tarp covering it now. I've also replaced the insulation there and put a temporary panel up to hold it. The glass door that was shattered remains shattered but with a cardboard barrier filled with insulation keeping the cold at bay.
While it is functional (warm and dry) I'm far from recovered. Heck the insurance adjuster isn't coming until later this week (there were a lot of folks with damage in the area.) I fear it will be two or three months before all the repairs are made and, if necessary, the hulking 125 ft 50-year old pines that caused the damage removed.

Actually, most of my stuff is flat so I just throw it on the scanner bed and zap it right into my image editor. I do have an older digital camera which is out on loan to someone right now, but I am hoping to invest in a newer camera sometime this year.

I suppose it is again important to say that auctions.com, a division of Classified Ventures, is in no way associated with auctionwatch.com, the host of this board.
That said, I wish auctionwatch.com a speedy recovery from their problems of this weekend.
